Dude, sturgeon are absolutely insane. Very fun to watch, so I can't imagine the rush of catching one. Nicely done. One thing to add though, it's important to note that sturgeon are an endangered species and just gotta work together to keep these things around. Be careful with them and always release. There's my public service announcement.

What an amazing fish! It was so much bigger when you pulled it out of the water, crazy how deep that creek really was to make that fish appear smaller. You should try UR hand at Ice fishing for Sturgeon. We were in WI at lake Winnebago one year. It was dotted with fishing shanties and a huge festival on the ice in Fond du Lac, WI. I am fairly new to the world of fishing so I am sure there is a difference between what those two were designated for? I should add that I'd be a bank fisher from ponds, creeks and lakes, as well as a creek wader in Ohio.

True story, in the early 80's I was down swimming in the N. Santiam river, like I did every day all summer when I was a kid.
