Your channel is super underrated! I appreciate your enthusiasm for fishing brother 🍻
Wow, you really love your job! About 20 years ago I was fishing in a flooded creek in Oklahoma when I caught a fish. It felt light at first and then it got heavy. When I got it up, I noticed I caught a small catfish. Holding onto that catfish was an alligator gar! I rolled the line a few feet and the gar whipped its head around and snapped my line. My stepdad was there and said it looked to be around 6 1/2 to 7 feet long! he said if he wasn't there to witness it, he wouldn't believe it.
❤ Now that was a REAL River Monster ! ❤
This is by far one of my favorite videos you've created yet! What an EPIC battle catch & release!!! Definitely entertaining and very enjoyable video! I can definitely say I've never wallowed in the mud with a huge goliath fish as you did! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time during the release! Awesome video! Thanks!!!!

I've continued to say just like you have that theres a big one coming in the near future. This one was a TANK and that spot is going to treat you hopefully even better. Amazing video, amazing experience! Now THAT’S a fish! lol….muddied up in the most beautiful way! And it’s all here for anyone that cares to watch….Thanks for sharing your personal record catch… Maybe someday someone else will get to experience the same thrill. I once caught a 5lb brown trout on 4lb test line that did amazing aerial jumps. My friend wanted to keep it for the meat, but I kissed the fish and tossed it back, hoping it provides someone else with the same thrill it provided me. Funny enough, when we dropped the net in the boat, the hook fell out of its mouth. One of the best fishing memories of my life. All the Best, TC 👍🏻🍻❤️😎
Now we know how that gar got that deformity giving out headbutts tryna knock out fishermen lol a true survivor 😂

Cut about 4in long piece of multi color Polly rope take and clamp it on hook just under the hook eye. Use band like for bird bands for clamp for rope . Then take the rope and fray it half to three quarters of the rope. The frayed rope gets in between the teeth helps keep fish hooked. Increase your land rate to 75% to about 80% land rate.

@@wildlifefishingshow where is the best place in Texas to catch them?
@wildlifefishingshow
Жыл бұрын
@Raymund Turner that ultimately depends on who you ask, the size of the fish you want, and how much time you have. If you're good with a 30-40lb fish, the Lake Livingston spillway is a pretty easy place to pick one up. If you want something pushing 75-100lb, Buffalo Bayou, which runs right through Houston, holds plenty of good ones. You can literally catch them in the downtown area. But if you want a giant, a 7 foot plus gar, you gotta find good spots on big rivers like the Trinity, Brazos, or San Jacinto. I'm gonna recommend you talk to Alex Sosa of Buffalo Bayou Fishing Champs, a great catch and release guide service for gar. You can find him on Instagram. Tell him I sent you, he's a good friend. He could help you organize a trip with a very, very high chance of landing a big gar.
