As per BOR, the name spelling is required to be with two "i" (Iisus); the protestants and Catholics or other Christian denominations use the version with a single "i" (Isus). If my memory doesn`t fail me, I remember from the religion class (30 years ago), the teacher stated that Isus means donkey (no idea in which language), therefore we use the spelling of the name as Iisus (can`t remember if that had a meaning).

IF you must translate his true name to English it should be Joshua, but his name is as you portray "Yeshua" ...sounds nothing like Jesus... I honesty believe the name Jesus is a mockery, another one of Satan's lies to confuse, literally lost in translations... Greek is prominently a pagan influenced nation, most Greek Gods end is US... and though you say the name Jesus is nothing to do with Zeus, the fact that the image of Zeus and "Jesus" are portrayed near the same in looks is also another lie, its just to confuse... I think we should call him by his true name... The name Jesus is a lie, a mockery... why call him something that he was never known by... call him Lord, call him The Christ, call him your Saviour, call him Yeshua or Joshua if you prefer English translation, but do not call him Jesus, a name given via pagan influence, literally lost in translation... how beautiful is the name Yeshua, the true meaning of the name means “to save, deliver,”... this is the truth...

In Greek, the final 's' is customary for male names. Examples: Photos (my name), Andreas, Nikos, etc.

My family speaks Aramaic and I was told he was called Yeshu(a) Pronounced as if it has a guttural "a ", but not spelled with the a. Yeshu(a) Imshiho is Jesus Christ in Aramaic. Great video, thank you ❤

In Syriac Aramaic (Edessanian) it would be Yeshu' bar Yausef. "Ibn Yusuf" sounds weird to me, is that Arabic? I am not sure he was called that way to be honest. But could be - I was not around back then :D

Amazing sir, in Zimbabwe we say Jesu . Interestingly the name of Jesus (greek English, Hebrew etc) has authority and power to "upset" invisible negative forces, especially in Africa. Heavy occult activity being dismantled by proclaiming His name. Even during praise and hymn.🙏🏾🇮🇱🇿🇼

And for more evidence of the Lord Jesus Christ, there’s the Bible and you see there is no evidence the Bible is corrupted, a lie, created by the Roman government, folktale. I was saved by a hug from our king. It happened the night I prayed for the first time and asked Him to please show me if he was real. I was a mess, my life was in shambles and I had started my journey to Christ, hearing the gospel for the first time and connecting some dots. Long story short... i felt guilty for the death of my father and one of the most amazing men ever. I prayed with desperate tears and fell asleep. I dreamt my father was standing couple of feet away from me, i ran to him and gave him the biggest hug as i embraced my father ALL my fears and worries just came at once and i completely broke down and let go in his arms... i could feel my dad saying goodbey and dissapearing and in his place i was embraced by the most glorious 'whiteness' and peace i have ever felt. My father was gone but i was still being held up and felt being embraced by everything good and wonderful. And i sort of just understood or sensed it was Jesus holding me up in His love, peace and glory. It was.... the most wonderful experience I have ever had. I woke up knowing the truth and from that day on I gave my life completely and utterly to Him, God, my loving creator. Ever since that gloryfilled day 8 years ago i started reading the Bible and have never looked back. I LOVE Him and am sooo grateful to be counted among His sheep. Thought id share with you cause its sooo definitely something to look forward to and so much more. I assure you everysingle expectation will be met and completely and utterly exceeded.

In Spanish we call him Jesús ( he-soos) or Jesucristo (Jesus Christ) ❤ what a beautiful name it is!! ❤️

This is not His Personal name, it is a descriptive name identifying who He is to us. He is “God with us,” Emmanuel! Also, “He shall be called a Nazarean” (Matthew 2:23, Nazarene), however, His Personal name is by revelation and is a specific name (Matthew 1:21). Matthew 2:23 “And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, ‘He shall be called a Nazarean.’” Question: Where did the prophets in the Old Testament prophesy, “He shall be called a Nazarean”? Answer: There is no prophet in the Old Testament, who prophesied, “He shall be called a Nazarean”! Question: Well then, do we know what His Personal name truly is? Answer: The angel of the Lord said, “...you shall call His name…” (Matthew 1:21). This is a commandment, which makes the actual revealed name given to the Savior of utmost importance. Most would say that the Savior’s name is “Jesus.” Unfortunately, this name was never revealed by God, nor did God authorize the name Jesus. Question: So it goes, did the angel say the name, “Jesus?” This is what we need to know. Answer: No. Historically, the name Jesus has only existed in its present form since the 17th century. A change was made that caused the Savior’s supposed name to become Jesus, which was never authorized by God. In the 1611 KJV of the Bible, we find the name “Iesus.” Pronounced “ee-sus” changed to Jesus, “gee-sus,” after the year 1632. No angel gave the commandment from God to the disciples of Christ allowing them to call Christ by the name, “Jesus.” Therefore, the name Jesus is a substitute name. Iesus comes from Iesous, which is a transliteration of the name Yeshua. Because the name of the Savior is a revealed name, this kind of linguistic evolution is not honored by God, which defies His revelation and commandment. To accept a substitute name is to reject the very name revealed by God. More specifically, substitute names, such as Jesus, Iesus, or Iesous are in reality a rejection of the true revealed name of the Savior. Question: Why does it matter what name we use, after all, I speak English so I say, “Jesus.” And someone else speaks Spanish, so they say, “Hey-zeus.” or another speaks Arabic, and they say, “Isa.” So there are many names for Christ, right? Answer: God knows all things, but He also knows that the name that was revealed by Him was rejected for a substitute name not authorized by Him. The following Scriptures prohibit the use of any other name but the revealed name from Heaven. YAHSHUA is the revealed name commanded by God to be given to the Savior. It is an exclusive name and not to be changed. Acts 4:8 “Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, ‘Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: 9 If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, 10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of YAHSHUA the Messiah of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Therefore, choose this day that you will accept the one name given among men by which we must be saved! From these three names, Jesus, Iesus, and Iesous come all the substitute names unauthorized by God around the world. The essence of the Gospel tells us we stand condemned if we reject the revealed name of the Savior by accepting a substitute name instead. Answer: Throughout the Hebrew and New Testament Scriptures, Christ our Savior is the LORD YAH (Isaiah 44:6-8, Christ is the Rock, 1 Corinthians 10:1-4). YAH means “I AM” (Exodus 3:13-15). YAH (I AM) is the name which is above every name (Philippians 2:9). Christ told the Jews that He is YAH, as in “I AM” (John 8:58). The apostle Paul encounters Christ on the Road to Damascus, and asks “Who are you Lord?” Christ replies in Hebrew His name (Acts 26). Paul identifies in the letter to the Philippians 2:9, “He has the name which is above every name.” An angel of the LORD comes to Joseph in a dream, and says, “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name YAHSHUA, for He will save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). YAHSHUA means “I AM Salvation.” The apostle Paul was very clear that in every language His name is to be the same, “and that every tongue should confess that YAHSHUA the Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:11). Hebrew names very often consist of two elements: a verb and the name of God, in this case, יה (YAH), which is short for יהוה; YHWH or YaHaWaH, the living God of Israel. This name given to Moses means YAH=I AM, hawah=to be, as in ever-present, and so God’s name means I AM Ever-present. Question: Where in the Hebrew Scripture does any of the prophets say, “He shall be called a Nazarean?” Answer: It could not be found anywhere in the Scriptures that a prophet said, “He shall be called a Nazarean (or Nazarene). Therefore, we must take a closer look at the name Nazareth, and we found the following: Nazareth, isolated, generally supposed to be the Greek form of the Hebrew netser, a "shoot" or "sprout,” or “branch.” Matthew is telling us that He, Christ, is “the Branch,” as the prophets foretold. When we take a closer look at the word Nazarean (Nazarene) we find a meaning, a Hebrew meaning. This is what Matthew was telling us, that YAHSHUA is the Branch as spoken by the prophets. Isaiah 4:2, “In that day the Branch of the Lord shall be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and appealing for those of Israel who have escaped.” Isaiah 11:1 “There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots. Jeremiah 23:5 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord {YAH}, “That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, and execute judgment and righteousness in the earth. 6 In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell safely; Now this is His name by which He will be called: ‘THE LORD {YAH} OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.’ 7 “Therefore, behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord {YAH}, “that they shall no longer say, ‘As the Lord {YAH} lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,’ 8 but, ‘As the Lord {YAH} lives who brought up and led the descendants of the house of Israel from the north country and from all the countries where I had driven them.’ And they shall dwell in their own land.” Jeremiah 33:14 ‘Behold, the days are coming,’ says the Lord, ‘that I will perform that good thing which I have promised to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah: 15 ‘In those days and at that time I will cause to grow up to David A Branch of righteousness; He shall execute judgment and righteousness in the earth. Zechariah 3:8 ‘Hear, O Yeshua, the high priest, you and your companions who sit before you, for they are a wondrous sign; for behold, I am bringing forth My Servant the BRANCH. Zechariah 6:12, Then speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, saying: “Behold, the Man whose name is the BRANCH! From His place, He shall branch out, and He shall build the temple of the Lord; 13 Yes, He shall build the temple of the Lord. He shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule on His throne; So He shall be a priest on His throne, and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.”’ Therefore, the apostle Matthew was correct, “And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, ‘He shall be called a Nazarean.’” He shall be called the Nazarean, which means He is the Branch, YAHSHUA the Nazarean!

Thank you for clearing this up. So many people argue about this and it’s crazy. In the end He knows when we are trying to speak to Him, regardless of our pronunciation or the name we use. His enemies no doubt understand. I do occasionally call Him Yeshua. ❤️

Yes there is no salvation by pronunciation. I simply like to call people by the name they have from the language they primarily speak. I dont call puertorican friend Jose as Joseph simply because i'm a dumb american and dont speak spanish. I call Jose, Jose. To that end i have been using Yeshua but accoring to this video it sounds like it would be more correct to pronounce it like Yeshul? That's my take away. Again, this isn't a salvational issue, i just want to address Him by how he would say His name. it's just the respectful thing to do.

@snoflahke6575 , if the Messiah was born of the tribe of Judah, he obviously had a "Jewish" name, right? If you go to a foreign land and your name is Pete, they will call you "Pete," unless it is not a sound they use. So if they use a "v" sound for a "p," they would call you "Vete,"--that's transliteration. Interesting FACT--compare a KJV with most any other translation and look at Acts 7:45 and Hebrews 4:8. That is actually what told me His Name is the same a "Joshua son of Nun," except there was no "J" sound then--it was a "Y" sound. Hope this helps.

Tsitsalagi (I am Tsalagi/ Cherokee) and we write Jesus as Tsisa or in the Cherokee syllabary as ᏥᏌ. How one pronounces Jesus/ Tsisa largely depends on if you are of the Eastern Band of Cherokee (Keetoowah) or the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, formerly Indian Territory. I pronouce Tsisa as CHEE-sah whereas my cousins out west would pronounce the same word as Jee-sa. Very slight difference, but both mean the same thing. Donadagohvi! (Until we meet again!)

The Christian's bibles are just very badly mistranslated and corrupted versions of the Torah/Tanach, the Real Word of G_d, with a whole lot changed including names, a whole lot added, and a whole lot taken out. Everything that G_d said not to do, Christianity did! Try actually reading the scriptures where G_d gave the Torah and the Commandments to Mosche and the Children/Nation of Israel on Mt. Sinai. The One True Creator G_d specifically said in no uncertain terms that neither they nor any of their descendents all through time are to Never veer to the right nor left of the Torah/Tanach! Never! G_d also told them in no uncertain terms that neither they nor any of their descendents all through time are to Never accept anybody else's religion! Never! Christianity adopted way too many idolatrous and pagan beliefs contrary to what The One True Creator G_d actually said. G_d warned us about Christianity thousands of years ago, long before Christianity invaded this land. Christianity has been deceiving so many people for thousands of years. They have created a society with amnesia. Christianity is not the group that they claim to be, Christianity is a Wolf in Sheep's clothing!

Even those who argue for this ˹crucifixion˺ are in doubt. They have no knowledge whatsoever-only making assumptions. They certainly did not kill him. Rather, God raised him up to Himself. And God is Almighty, All-Wise. Every one of the People of the Book will definitely believe in him before his death. And on the Day of Judgment Eesa(jesus) will be a witness against them.(Al-Quran An-Nisa'[4]153-159)✅ He Iesa(Jesus) was only a servant We showed favour to, and made as an example for the Children of Israel. Had We willed, We could have easily replaced you ˹all˺ with angels, succeeding one another on earth. And his ˹second˺ coming is truly a sign for the Hour. So have no doubt about it, and follow me. This is the Straight Path. And do not let Satan hinder you, ˹for˺ he is certainly your sworn enemy. When Iesa(Jesus) came with clear proofs, he declared, “I have come to you with wisdom, and to clarify to you some of what you differ about. So fear Allah(God), and obey me. Surely Allah(God) alone˺ is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him˹alone˺. This is the Straight Path.” Yet their ˹various˺ groups have differed among themselves ˹about him˺, so woe to the wrongdoers when they face the torment of a painful Day! Are they waiting for the Hour to take them by surprise when they least expect ˹it˺? Close friends will be enemies to one another on that Day, except the righteous, who will be told,˺ “O My servants! There is no fear for you Today, nor will you grieve- those˺ who believed in Our signs and ˹fully˺ submitted ˹to Us˺. [Al-Quran Az-Zukhruf(43)59-69] ✅ Say, "O People of the Scripture, come to a word that is equitable between us and you - that we will not worship except Allah and not associate anything with Him and not take one another as lords instead of Allah." But if they turn away, then say, "Bear witness that we are Muslims [submitting to Him]."O People of the Book! Why do you argue about Abraham, while the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until long after him? Do you not understand? Here you are - those who have argued about that of which you have [some] knowledge, but why do you argue about that of which you have no knowledge? And Allah knows, while you know not. Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to Allah]. And he was not of the polytheists. Indeed, the most worthy of Abraham among the people are those who followed him [in submission to Allah] and this prophet [i.e., Muhammad] and those who believe [in his message]. And Allah is the Ally of the believers. (Al-Quran Ali 'Imran [3]:64-68) Some of the People of the Book wish to mislead you ˹believers˺. They mislead none but themselves, yet they fail to perceive it. O People of the Book! Why do you reject the signs of Allah while you bear witness ˹to their truth˺? O People of the Book! Why do you mix the truth with falsehood and hide the truth knowingly? A group among the People of the Book said ˹to one another˺, “Believe in what has been revealed to the believers in the morning and reject it in the evening, so they may abandon their faith. But do not believe (for real) except in those who follow your faith.” Say[Muhammad], “(Real) guidance is the guidance of Allah.” (But all that you do is due to your envy) that someone is given what is similar to that which you have been given, or that they argue against you before your Lord.” Say, “The bounty is in the hands of Allah. He gives it to whom He wills. Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing. He chooses whoever He wills to receive His mercy. And Allah is the Lord of infinite bounty. Among the people of the Book there is one who, if you entrust him with a heap (of gold or silver), will give it back to you; and among them there is one who, if you entrust him with a coin of gold, he will not give it back to you, unless you keep standing over him. This is because they have said, “There is no way we can be blamed in the matter of the unlettered.”And they tell lies about Allah knowingly. Why (will they) not (be blamed)? Whoever fulfils his pledge and fears Allah, then, Allah loves the God-fearing. Surely, those who take a small price by (breaking) the covenant of Allah and their oaths, for them there is no share in the Hereafter, and Allah will neither speak to them, nor will He look towards them on the Day of Judgment, nor will He purify them. For them there is a painful punishment. (Al-Quran Ali 'Imran [3]:69-77)

They both ate food. See how We make the signs clear to them, yet see how they are deluded ˹from the truth˺! Say,˺ “How can you worship besides Allah those who can neither harm nor benefit you? And Allah ˹alone˺ is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.”Say, "O People of the Scripture, do not exceed limits in your religion beyond the truth and do not follow the inclinations of a people who had gone astray before and misled many and have strayed from the soundness of the way."On those who disbelieve from among the children of Isrā’īl , a curse was pronounced by David and ‘Īsā/Aeesa, Son of Maryam(Mary). All this because they disobeyed and used to cross the limits. They did not forbid one another from doing evil. Evil indeed was what they did! You see many of them taking the disbelievers[[ i.e., the pagans.]] as allies. Truly wicked are their misdeeds, which have earned them Allah’s wrath. And they will be in everlasting torment. Had they believed in Allah, the Prophet, and what has been revealed to him, they would have never taken those ˹pagans˺ as allies. But most of them are rebellious. (Quran Al-Ma'idah[5] 72-81)✅ [Be warned of] the Day when Allah will assemble the messengers and say, "What was the response you received?" They will say, "We have no knowledge. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen" - [The Day] when Allah will say, "O Iesa(Jesus) Son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Pure Spirit [i.e., the angel Gabriel] and you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and [remember] when I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you designed from clay [what was] like the form of a bird with My permission, then you breathed into it, and it became a bird with My permission; and you healed the blind [from birth] and the leper with My permission; and when you brought forth the dead with My permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from [killing] you when you came to them with clear proofs and those who disbelieved among them said, "This is not but obvious magic."When I enjoined upon the disciples, “Believe in Me and in My Messenger(Jesus),” they said, “We believed. Bear witness that we are the submitting ones.”Remember˺ when the disciples asked, “O Iesa(Jesus) son of Mary! Would your Lord be willing to send down to us a table spread with food from heaven?” Iesa(Jesus) answered, “Fear Allah if you are ˹truly˺ believers.”They said, “We wish that we eat from it, and our hearts be satisfied, and we may know for sure that you have told us the truth, and we may become witnesses to it.” Iesa (Jesus) son of Mary, prayed, “O Allah, our Lord! Send us from heaven a table spread with food as a feast for us-the first and last of us-and as a sign from You. Provide for us! If I had said such a thing, you would have certainly known it. You know what is ˹hidden˺ within me, but I do not know what is within You. Indeed, You ˹alone˺ are the Knower of all unseen. Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism are all nouns. ‘Islam’ is the only ‘religion’ (although I regard it as the truth & not a religion) that is a verb, meaning to submit (to the creator) - therefore all prophets are Muslim as they submit to the one true creator.

@chrisann2071 You are absolutely correct. That's also how it's pronounced in Aramic. Yeshu'a is the modern Hebrew name but Yeshu was the name of Jesus, as he lived in Aramaic times. You can find the genuine Hebrew script above the cross if you look up these keywords on Google: '"white crucifixion chagall". You can zoom into the painting. Bulgarian here, Eastern Europe. We pronounce Iisus with a longer "i", or sometimes more casually just Isus with the short "i" (not "ai", just i). It comes from the Byzantine times (around 1075 AD). A very educational and fun video, thank you!

And whoever associates others with Allah has indeed committed a grave sin.(Al-Quran An-Nisa'[4]:48)✅ Verily, those who believe, the Jews, the Christians and the Sabians, whoever (among them) believes in Allah[God] and the Last Day, and does good deeds, they will have their reward from their Lord. there is fear in them, and they do not grieve.(Quran Al-Baqarah[2] 62) O People of the Book! Do not go to extremes regarding your faith; say nothing about Allah(God) except the truth. The Messiah, Aeesa(Jesus), son of Mary, was no more than a messenger of Allah(God) and the fulfilment of His Word through Mary and a spirit ˹created by a command˺ from Him. So believe in Allah(God) and His messengers and do not say, “Trinity.” Stop!-for your own good. God is only One God. Glory be to Him! He is far above having a son! To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And God is sufficient as a Trustee of Affairs. The Messiah(Jesus) would never be too proud to be a servant of God, nor would the angels nearest to God. Those who are too proud and arrogant to worship Him will be brought before Him all together.(Quran An-Nisa[4]':171-172) ✅. And He (God) will teach him(the Messiah) writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel and ˹make him˺ a messenger to the Children of Israel ˹to proclaim,˺ “I have come to you with a sign from your Lord: I will make for you a bird from clay, breathe into it, and it will become a ˹real˺ bird-by Allah’s Will. I will heal the blind and the leper and raise the dead to life-by Allah’s Will. And I will prophesize what you eat and store in your houses. Surely in this is a sign for you if you ˹truly˺ believe. And I will confirm the Torah revealed before me and legalize some of what had been forbidden to you. I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so be mindful of Allah and obey me. Surely Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him ˹alone˺. This is the Straight Path.”(Quran Aal-E-Imran[3]:48- 51)✅ Those who say, “Allah(God) is the Messiah(jesus), son of Mary,” have certainly fallen into disbelief. The Messiah ˹himself˺ said, “O Children of Israel! Worship Allah(God)-my Lord and your Lord.” Whoever associates others with Allah(God) ˹in worship˺ will surely be forbidden Paradise by Allah(God). Their home will be the Fire. And the wrongdoers will have no helpers. Those who say, “Allah(God) is one in a Trinity,” have certainly fallen into disbelief. There is only One God. If they do not stop saying this, those who disbelieve among them will be afflicted with a painful punishment. Will they not turn to Allah(God) in repentance and seek His forgiveness? And Allah(God) is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful. The Messiah, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger. ˹Many˺ messengers had ˹come and˺ gone before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They both ate food. See how We make the signs clear to them, yet see how they are deluded ˹from the truth˺! Say,˺ “How can you worship besides Allah(God) those who can neither harm nor benefit you? And Allah(God) ˹alone˺ is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.” (Quran Al-Ma'idah[5] 72-76)✅ And ˹on Judgment Day˺ Allah will say, “O Aeesa(Jesus) son of Mary! Remember My favour upon you and your mother: how I supported you with the holy spirit[[ i.e., the angel Gabriel. ]] so you spoke to people in ˹your˺ infancy and adulthood. How I taught you writing, wisdom, the Torah, and the Gospel. How you moulded a bird from clay-by My Will-and breathed into it and it became a ˹real˺ bird-by My Will. How you healed the blind and the lepers-by My Will. How you brought the dead to life-by My Will. How I prevented the Children of Israel from harming you when you came to them with clear proofs and the disbelievers among them said, “This is nothing but pure magic.”And [remember] when I inspired to the disciples, "Believe in Me and in My messenger [i.e., Jesus]." They said, "We have believed, so bear witness that indeed we are Muslims [in submission to Allah]." [And remember] when the disciples said, "O Aeesa Son of Mary, can your Lord send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven?" [Jesus] said, "Fear Allah, if you should be believers."They said, "We wish to eat from it and let our hearts be reassured and know that you have been truthful to us and be among its witnesses." Said Aeesa(Jesus) the son of Mary, "O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven to be for us a festival for the first of us and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us, and You are the best of providers." Allah said, “I am going to send it down to you; but whoever among you disbelieves after that, I shall give him such a punishment as I shall not give to anyone else in all the worlds.” And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, "O Aeesa, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, 'Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah?'" He will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen. I have not said to them anything but what You have ordered me to say, that is, ‘Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord’ and I was a witness over them as long as I was with them. But when You recalled me, You were the One watching over them. You are a witness over everything. If You punish them, they belong to You after all.[[ i.e., as your creation, they cannot escape the punishment. ]] But if You forgive them, You are surely the Almighty, All-Wise.” Allah will say, "This is the Day when the truthful will benefit from their truthfulness." For them are gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allah being pleased with them, and they with Him. That is the great attainment. To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is within them. And He is over all things competent. (Al-Quran Al-Ma'idah [5]:110-120) the baby Aeesa [Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah (God). He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet. He has made me a blessing wherever I go, and bid me to establish prayer and give alms-tax as long as I live, And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant. And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive."That is Aeesa(Jesus) the son of Mary - the word of truth about which they are in dispute. It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, "Be," and it is. This is the Straight Path.” (Al-Quran Maryam [19]:30-36)✅ It is Allah (God)who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days; then He established Himself above the Throne. You have not besides Him any protector or any intercessor; so will you not be reminded? He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count. That is the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, Who perfected everything which He created and began the creation of man from clay. Then He made his posterity out of the extract of a liquid disdained. Then He proportioned him and breathed into him from His [created] soul and made for you hearing and vision and hearts [i.e., intellect]; little are you grateful. And they say, "When we are lost [i.e., disintegrated] within the earth, will we indeed be [recreated] in a new creation?" Rather, they are, in the meeting with their Lord, disbelievers. Say, "The angel of death who has been entrusted with you will take you. Then to your Lord you will be returned."(Al-Quran As-Sajdah [32] :4-11)✅ It is Allah (God) that there is no god but Him. He is the All-Knower of the Unseen and the seen. He is the Most-Beneficent, the Most Merciful. It is Allah that besides Whom there is no deity; He is the King, the Holy One, the Giver of Peace, the Granter of Security), the Guardian over all, the Mighty One, the Compeller, the Possessor of every Greatness. Glory be to Allah from what they associate as partners with Him. It is Allah that He is the Creator, the Originator, the Fashioner; His are the Most Beautiful Names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify Him. And He is the All-Mighty, All-Wise (the Owner of Judgment and Wisdom).(Quran 59:22-24)✅ salom

I don't think he pronounces the letter 'ain' (ע) that well. This us coming from a Neo-Aramaic speaker. He did get other things right though.

But most of them are rebellious. O people of faith! Fear God and believe in His Messenger. And˺ He will grant you a double share of His mercy, provide you with a light to walk in ˹on Judgment Day˺, and forgive you. For God is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful. This is so˺ that the People of the Book ˹who deny the Prophet(Muhammad)˺ may know that they do not have any control over God’s grace, and that all grace is in God’s Hands. Even those who argue for this ˹crucifixion˺ are in doubt. They have no knowledge whatsoever-only making assumptions. They certainly did not kill him. Rather, God raised him up to Himself. And God is Almighty, All-Wise. Every one of the People of the Book will definitely believe in him before his death. And on the Day of Judgment Eesa(jesus) will be a witness against them.(Al-Quran An-Nisa'[4]153-159)✅ He Iesa(Jesus) was only a servant We showed favour to, and made as an example for the Children of Israel. This is the Straight Path. And do not let Satan hinder you, ˹for˺ he is certainly your sworn enemy. When Iesa(Jesus) came with clear proofs, he declared, “I have come to you with wisdom, and to clarify to you some of what you differ about. So fear Allah(God), and obey me. Surely Allah(God) alone˺ is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him˹alone˺. This is the Straight Path.” Yet their ˹various˺ groups have differed among themselves ˹about him˺, so woe to the wrongdoers when they face the torment of a painful Day! Are they waiting for the Hour to take them by surprise when they least expect ˹it˺? Close friends will be enemies to one another on that Day, except the righteous, who will be told,˺ “O My servants! There is no fear for you Today, nor will you grieve- those˺ who believed in Our signs and ˹fully˺ submitted ˹to Us˺. [Al-Quran Az-Zukhruf(43)59-69] ✅ Say, "O People of the Scripture, come to a word that is equitable between us and you - that we will not worship except Allah and not associate anything with Him and not take one another as lords instead of Allah." But if they turn away, then say, "Bear witness that we are Muslims [submitting to Him]."O People of the Book! Why do you argue about Abraham, while the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until long after him? Do you not understand? Here you are - those who have argued about that of which you have [some] knowledge, but why do you argue about that of which you have no knowledge? And Allah knows, while you know not. Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to Allah]. And he was not of the polytheists. Indeed, the most worthy of Abraham among the people are those who followed him [in submission to Allah] and this prophet [i.e., Muhammad] and those who believe [in his message]. And Allah is the Ally of the believers. (Al-Quran Ali 'Imran [3]:64-68) Some of the People of the Book wish to mislead you ˹believers˺. They mislead none but themselves, yet they fail to perceive it. O People of the Book! Why do you reject the signs of Allah while you bear witness ˹to their truth˺? O People of the Book! Why do you mix the truth with falsehood and hide the truth knowingly? A group among the People of the Book said ˹to one another˺, “Believe in what has been revealed to the believers in the morning and reject it in the evening, so they may abandon their faith. But do not believe (for real) except in those who follow your faith.” Say[Muhammad], “(Real) guidance is the guidance of Allah.” (But all that you do is due to your envy) that someone is given what is similar to that which you have been given, or that they argue against you before your Lord.” Say, “The bounty is in the hands of Allah. He gives it to whom He wills. Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing. He chooses whoever He wills to receive His mercy. And Allah is the Lord of infinite bounty. Among the people of the Book there is one who, if you entrust him with a heap (of gold or silver), will give it back to you; and among them there is one who, if you entrust him with a coin of gold, he will not give it back to you, unless you keep standing over him. This is because they have said, “There is no way we can be blamed in the matter of the unlettered.”And they tell lies about Allah knowingly. Why (will they) not (be blamed)? Whoever fulfils his pledge and fears Allah, then, Allah loves the God-fearing. Surely, those who take a small price by (breaking) the covenant of Allah and their oaths, for them there is no share in the Hereafter, and Allah will neither speak to them, nor will He look towards them on the Day of Judgment, nor will He purify them. For them there is a painful punishment. (Al-Quran Ali 'Imran [3]:69-77) And indeed, there is among them a party who alter the Scripture with their tongues so you may think it is from the Scripture, but it is not from the Scripture. And they say, "This is from Allah," but it is not from Allah. And they speak untruth about Allah while they know. It is not appropriate for someone who Allah has blessed with the Scripture, wisdom, and prophethood to say to people, “Worship me instead of Allah.” Rather, he would say, “Be devoted to the worship of your Lord ˹alone˺”-in accordance with what these prophets read in the Scripture and what they taught. And he would never ask you to take angels and prophets as lords. Would he ask you to disbelieve after you have submitted? When Allah made the prophets enter into a covenant: (saying) “If I give you a book and wisdom, then comes to you a messenger verifying what is with you, you shall have to believe in him, and you shall have to support him.” He said, “Do you affirm and accept my covenant in this respect?” They said, “We affirm.” He said, “Then, bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses.”Whoever turns back after this, they will be the rebellious.(Al-Quran Ali 'Imran [3]:78-82)

Glory be to Allah from what they associate as partners with Him. It is Allah that He is the Creator, the Originator, the Fashioner; His are the Most Beautiful Names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify Him. And He is the All-Mighty, All-Wise (the Owner of Judgment and Wisdom).(Quran 59:22-24)✅ Verily, those who believe, the Jews, the Christians and the Sabians, whoever (among them) believes in Allah[God] and the Last Day, and does good deeds, they will have their reward from their Lord. there is fear in them, and they do not grieve.(Quran Al-Baqarah[2] 62)✅ Indeed, Allah(God) does not forgive associating others with Him ˹in worship˺, but forgives anything else of whoever He wills. Fourty years ago in Sudan I remember some Arabic speaking men were named (when their name was spelled in the Roman alphabet) Isa, or Issa. The pronunciation was almost the same as the Gaelic Íosa. I hope you will follow up with a video on the Hebrew pronunciation of Jokanaan (= Jonatan? = John?).

What a sweet and beautiful name Yeshua. In Mandarin Chinese, it pronounces yesu. In taiwanese, Yaso.

I use any, mostly being Jesus, Yesu, Isa, Yeshua. Explained so well. Thank you!

Nice video on the pronunciation of the name of Jesus in various regions. In Telugu language from Telangana, India we say Yesaiah Yesu + aiah, aiah with reverence for father. In Hindi language in India we say Yeshu massiha. In Tamil language too we say Yesu.

Good overview. One question -- effectively, there's a furtive patach there under the Ayin, right? I'd think the He and Aleph in later iterations also suggest this. Same end conclusion, just trying to piece together a prior iteration with just the Ayin ending the vocalization.

I am a national of the pre independent Indian princely state of Thiruvitancoore ( Travencore) which is one of the three princely states that make make up the post independent Indian state called Kerala ; the other two being Kochi and Malabar. All three princely states speak the same language called MALAYALAM. This is the state where the Apostle Thomas came after the ascension of Jesus and started Christian churches , with the consent of the kings and Hindu pundits. He taught the converts about the advent of Jesus . He called the Jesus as Yeshu. All over India Jesus is known by this name, a two thousand years old name of Jesus by one of His close disciples.

Awesome video, in Spanish it is written as in English with accent on the "u" and the "J" is pronounced as "Heh" Jesús. Now I would love some calligraphy video writing Jesus in all these languages including Aramaic and Arabic.

พระเยซู (Phra Yesu) is used here in Thailand. They add Phra to the most revered names of royalty and Buddhists monks. There’s no ‘sh’ sounds in Thai. I’ve heard that Bible names in Thai came through Catholic influence (I haven’t ever had this confirmed though), which would give the Thai name a similar background as the English name.

I saw a scholar suggest that Jesus of Nazareth would have been named like Isa. Pronounced like E-sah. I know the Irish (Gailge) name for Jesus is Iosa. Also pronounced E-sah.
