A name is a word. Word a part of languages. Words are pronounced according to the sounds available in the language. Words are written using the letters available within each language. Sounds came way before letters. Sounds are transcribed using the letters and rules of the language. "The" has many pronunciations. Some of which are unique to British English/American English and the English of non speakers of English. In fact, the sound of "the" is not available in Spanish. So their pronunciation would be different from a native English speaker! What about an object which in English we call "glass"? In Spanish, they refer to that same object as "vaso". In French, "verre". It would be senseless & unintelligent to say to an English speaker "You can drink water from a verre"! Language are languages. Each has its own lexicon. Each can refer to the same object, thought, idea, person, etc using different names. Among those who speak the same language, they are understood. Trying to force others to use words or names outside of their own language is absurd at best! Pretty, jolie & bonita refers to the same idea but in different languages. So is water, l'eau & agua! While "water" is a noun and a verb in English. In French and in Spanish, they use a one word for the noun form and another for the verb form. Each language is is differently unique! Jesus, Jesu, Jesús refer to the same person. It is pronounced differently though it may be written the same. It's the same with George, Jorge, George! Same with Mary, Marie, María! Kitchen, cuisine, cocina! Rain, pluie, lluvia! Etc. Please don't make an issue about the pronouciation and spelling of a name outside of your language.

We do not know how Eshoo's name was spelled, but most probably it was said in the Eastern Syriac that is Eastern Assyrian since the Jews who had left Ashur (Assyria) spoke the Eastern Assyrian dialect which is spoken till today by the Assyrians in the homeland Ashur and in diaspora. Eastern Assyrian referred to as "Syriac Aramaic" a misnomer. The Assyrians write the name as ܝܫܘܥ (written from right to left) spelled as Esho but in older books it is written with what we call a lost Allap (A) ܐܝܫܘܥ the last letter from left to write being (Ain) . Jesus was not from that part of the world. He was not from the bloodline that he has falsely been portrayed as being from. Jesus never changed his name. He never stated to call him by any other name, either. In fact he said not to! "There is no one else who has the power to save us, for there is only one name to whom God has given authority by which we must experience salvation: the name of Jesus.” There is no reason for any man to change his name! Were we not saved by Jesus? Were demons not cast out in Jesus name? Were we not healed in Jesus name? YES! Jesus I know! Yeshua, Yah, Yehoshusa, Yeshu? Lord of the Rings was written by a fellow named J.R.R Tolkin, the Bible was written by a bunch of anonymous authors in a timeframe of several hundred years. In modern Russian, the names of both Jesus and Prophet Joshua are pronounced exactly the same: Ee-ee-soos, with the accent on the last syllable. In the bible they are differenciated by adding of Na-veen (which may have originated from Bin Noon) to Prophet Joshua's name.

The Greek Alphabet doesn't have a 'sh' sound; the Hebrew Alefbet however does have the 'sh' sound in Shin שׁ and therefore Yehoshua or Yeshua became Yesous in the Greek Bibles. (See Deuteronomy 34:9 the Septuaginta reads Yesous and the Hebrew Torah D'varim 34:9 reads Yehoshua ben Nun. That's the old Hebrew pronunciation in the time of Mosheh/Moses. Later in Nehemiah 8:17 it reads Yeshua ben Nun, because that's the new Hebrew or Aramaic pronunciation from that time on and it's Yesous in Greek as well. (See Esdras B' 3:9 and Esdras II 18:17 in the Septuaginta) And therefore even later in the New Testament Paul the Apostle/Sha'ul haSh'li'ach knew how to write Yeshua haMashiach in Greek, e.g. Yesous. And the problem is that Bible translators might not know this fact and because of fear of God they kept the Greek Yesous in the translations as Jesus, even though the original Hebrew reads Yeshua (Salvation or Yah is Salvation). And therefore our translation shoud have read Yeshua the Anointed One for example. Because the Hebrew Mashiach/Messiah/Anointed One was translated directly into the Greek word for Anointed One and that's Christos/Christ. Amen, that's Yeshua HaMashiach!

It is an interesting program you made but I'm not sure how truth it may be the prophets names and they meanings in Albanian language like Moses mean teacher, Jesus name it is Emmanuel=keep the star if you see on paintings the star beam enter at the time of Jesus born, plus name Yeshua=charm which he made people to listen to him, or easter which come from pascha = seen before he left. And many more. I'm not sure is it a quicidence or what !! Plus I know for sure that all religious stopped Albanian language to be tought up to the point that greek church dammed anyone who will teach or talk Albanian. An one more interesting fact that in bible is written that st Paul spead Christianity up to Illyrian land which are Albanians ancestors, and the question what makes me think alot it is what language they spoke coz st Paul I don't think he had a tasnleter whith him !! Jesus is not the name. He had an Egyptian name, that is where his family came from. It is also possible that he did not know Hebrew. Isa is his Egyptian name, similar to Musa, Moses.

Thanks, very interesting. In Russian we say Eesoos, very similar to greek. However, the other character, Moses' friend Joshua is also Eesoos (Navin), while in English they are differently spelled. In Hebrew, as far as I understood, they are also spelled a bit differently.

In modern Russian, the names of both Jesus and Prophet Joshua are pronounced exactly the same: Ee-ee-soos, with the accent on the last syllable. In the bible they are differenciated by adding of Na-veen (which may have originated from Bin Noon) to Prophet Joshua's name.
The Greek Alphabet doesn't have a 'sh' sound; the Hebrew Alefbet however does have the 'sh' sound in Shin שׁ and therefore Yehoshua or Yeshua became Yesous in the Greek Bibles. (See Deuteronomy 34:9 the Septuaginta reads Yesous and the Hebrew Torah D'varim 34:9 reads Yehoshua ben Nun. That's the old Hebrew pronunciation in the time of Mosheh/Moses. Later in Nehemiah 8:17 it reads Yeshua ben Nun, because that's the new Hebrew or Aramaic pronunciation from that time on and it's Yesous in Greek as well. (See Esdras B' 3:9 and Esdras II 18:17 in the Septuaginta) And therefore even later in the New Testament Paul the Apostle/Sha'ul haSh'li'ach knew how to write Yeshua haMashiach in Greek, e.g. Yesous. And the problem is that Bible translators might not know this fact and because of fear of God they kept the Greek Yesous in the translations as Jesus, even though the original Hebrew reads Yeshua (Salvation or Yah is Salvation). And therefore our translation shoud have read Yeshua the Anointed One for example. Because the Hebrew Mashiach/Messiah/Anointed One was translated directly into the Greek word for Anointed One and that's Christos/Christ. Amen, that's Yeshua HaMashiach!

It is an interesting program you made but I'm not sure how truth it may be the prophets names and they meanings in Albanian language like Moses mean teacher, Jesus name it is Emmanuel=keep the star if you see on paintings the star beam enter at the time of Jesus born, plus name Yeshua=charm which he made people to listen to him, or easter which come from pascha = seen before he left. And many more. I'm not sure is it a quicidence or what !! Plus I know for sure that all religious stopped Albanian language to be tought up to the point that greek church dammed anyone who will teach or talk Albanian. An one more interesting fact that in bible is written that st Paul spead Christianity up to Illyrian land which are Albanians ancestors, and the question what makes me think alot it is what language they spoke coz st Paul I don't think he had a tasnleter whith him !! So they most have speak Albanian language, it may sound funny for many people but statistics show that Albanian language it is over 8000 years old and it is continuing speaking today at Albanian lands.
So why don’t we let the name appear as the Apostles like Peter and Paul wrote it in the letters they sent to the Athenians, Thessalonians, and Corinthians, and as it was later adopted in the Gospel as Ιησούς (Jesus)?

Jesus is not the name. He had an Egyptian name, that is where his family came from. It is also possible that he did not know Hebrew. Isa is his Egyptian name, similar to Musa, Moses.

Thanks, very interesting. In Russian we say Eesoos, very similar to greek. However, the other character, Moses' friend Joshua is also Eesoos (Navin), while in English they are differently spelled. In Hebrew, as far as I understood, they are also spelled a bit differently.
In Arabic we spell it also like עישׂה or עישׂא
