    I love it. Very patient and positional play, reminds me of a boa constrictor slowly squeezing and every time he fights back he gets shutdown and falls further behind. Another interesting note is that Serral tweeted he thought he was ahead coming out of the opening in game 3. I mean he defended the drops pretty well and never really made any large mistakes, but somehow still lost decisively. if Cure bamboozled Serral and stomped Reynor, he must be onto something.

    Just plays more.. Micro it self requires ur hand and brain coordination so build your muscle memory with play a lot of games using those units to master it. Pro gamers doing micro flawlessly just because they play the game 10x times more than casual player not because they found a tips and suddenly they really good at it

    @@sibalseki5491 there is a difference between getting more experienced with micro and learning it in the first place. It is helpful what approach even pros have figured out to be an optimal way instead of trying to reinvent the wheel and figuring it all out yourself (at a lower skill level). That's partly why most of us copy build orders instead of just making our own ones

    Ali Bitler yes knowing the basic would eliminate some mistakes but if its apply to the real match by micro-ing all together still needs experience to do it properly. Not the case for low tier player since both do mistakes a lot and micro isnt really exist or executed well most likely its only about who got more units and tricks.

    Hey Marc! Great guide! I think one critical thing to both Maru and Cure’s lategame style is waiting (either via defense or harassment) until a stage in the game where the critical Zerg bases are close to a Terran Planetary Fortress. You can see this in Cure’s mech game on Lightshade where he only starts attacking once the bases in the bottom left are taken, Maru’s game in Pillars of Gold where he attacks the bottom right bases from the base to the right of his 3rd, and this game where he attacks the 8 o’clock base from his rich gas base, and the Zerg rich gas base from his 4th. It seems that the rally distance and how far you need to be when attacking are the critical parts. It allows them to avoid base trades, reinforce quickly and keep creep in check leading to those bases by constantly pushing / harassing there. Be sure to check out some of the other fast Claws builds from TY in GSL!

    I appreciate how precise and effective Cure is in controlling groups and positioning units to make all the trades are incredibly good. Cure mined less but was ahead in economies and armies most of the time. By splitting armies into several places, he could prevent/limit run-by, counter Zerg expansions, which normally winTerran games these days. However, it is easier said than done. Without such constant good trades and incredible patience, only two to three mistakes may cost Terran a game, epsecially vs Serral and Reynor. In fact, I am not entirely sure that Innovation and TY could pull it off like this. I feel a great mental endurance there. Perhaps Maru could pull it off like this because Maru is also a patient and precise player. OOPS: Thanks for your analysis. WardiTV and your ThermyUniversity are becoming my dinner routines :D.

    Talking about how figured out buildorders are: Why do we make the orbital before the natural command center? We delay the natural orbital by the same ammount than you get the main orbital faster, so its the same orbital uptime after like three minutes. I tested getting the command center first a bit and i didn´t find any mineral/gas awkwardness either ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Could this be a real thing against protosses that you know like to block the natural?

    I think Harstem explained it best in one of his casts, basically: "You want easy to control armies so you are able to make complex and precise movements, instead of having complex armies that will force you make slow and limited movements" I think the case was a Disruptor heavy army, instead of relying on Blink-stalker Zealot. Like, you have to be so precise with the Disruptors that it kind of hinders your versatility through the map, you can't really do multi-pronged maneuvers because the Disruptors require all your attention. MMMM is perfect for this kind of pressure, small skirmishes through a big map.

  • @TheMuffinman191

    @TheMuffinman191

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@ivanmarquez2218 The point is splitting the army to attack more than one place. If the opponent doesnt do the same then they're losings a base. The issue with disruptors is that they are slow, so doing quick hit and run pressures they cant keep up. The upside being that if the disruptor gets into position then you dont need to hit and run very far to be covered.

    To be fair thats not too uncommon nowadays is it? Ultra's with speed just zoom through the lib zones barely recieving damage while the corruptors just pick off the sieged libs easily. And ghosts are nice when you camp. But on offense they clump up too much and trade poorly against lings/banes meaning they need to be micro'd a lot. Feel like he standard comp Cure is using is also the easier one.
