Just wanna say thermy, this playstyle genuinely works wonders in the low ranks of diamond 2 NA. No Zerg at that level expects 2 ghost armies so it always steam rolls every Zerg with this ghost widow mine playstyle. Even my sub 225 APM hands makes this damn good playstyle so great.

Ever since I saw this game live I've been trying this style vs a friend who is notorious with his lurkers, I'm like 0-91 at this point. I feel making ghosts is the easy part, getting any value out of them is the hard part.

@@uThermal You definitively can! First of all you show the marine split training maps, and there are some things that are soo basic to you but really help lower players (like dragging selecting half the army, then halving againm which making so to move units in opposite directions, etc.).

Yep! Most terrans have R as a rapid fire key so they can just hold it down and brrrrrrr

If it was slayers boxer playing in his prime he would just split his marines and dodge the lurker spines at 3 different locations at the same time and attack all the lurkers head on.

I insta gg and quit the game the moment I see my zerg opponent makes lurkers. Lurkers are bustedly OP!

When Maru is Sniping whilst 'not being aggressive' he's actually being hella aggressive. He's dropping in 2 places while also forcing the Zerg to attack into his main army ball. But hey.. not entertaining enough apparently 🤷🏽‍♂️ LOL

There's a huge difference between Clem's aggressive playstyle and Maru's defensive playstyle, boot up another VOD of Maru and pay close attention if you dont remember the difference :)

@@uThermal I'm not saying there's not a difference.. I'm just inferring it's definitely action packed, clever, and actually aggressive.. like a dance in the sport of fencing. And hey it clearly works.. Maru can beat Rogue and Serral and Dark 80% of the time with it.

@@real_MacrocosM Yep he's fantastic! In this case 'aggressive' is about the general playstyle, even if Maru obviously attacks sometimes, his lategame playstyle is VERY defensive. Against zerg you always need to do some counter attacks here and there but overall Maru's gameplan is to sit back and make a ton of planetaries and get to the lategame with super efficiency, whereas Clem's playstyle is just full on the gas gogogogo until either him or the opponent dies

So in other words to deal with Lurkers you need to play like Clem xD Not helping xD I saw Milkicow using more human approach: he made enough Vikings to be killing all of the overseers and than his Ghosts could snipe the Lurkers... for the most part. He still lost that game though

@@uThermal TBH your 2-2 tank-marine push is enough for mу to win nearly every TvZ (in Diamond) as long as opening harass/push went okay. Once upon a time we used to kill Zerg before Ultra or die trying, than it was BL-Infestor, and now its Lurker...

Unfortunately, this is just something we can't copy... Most of it was not because of better strategy or understanding of the game, it's just pure mechanical capabilities at play.

Yeah agree, top terrans (in particular clem and maru) are super hard to copy but its still a piece of art to enjoy
