How Crankshaft Casting Process Are Done || Complete Casting Process of Crankshafts Inside Foundry

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I have been watching several of these type of videos over the past couple of days and I can’t get over the fact that these guys don’t have any personal protection equipment. The only have t-shirts and sandals. I use to be a refractory tech, I can’t imagine this in any steel shop or casting factory in Europe. OMG. Respect for these people and their craft is the least we can do.

@@gigalo86 it doesn't matter if the crankshaft is forged or casted as long as the metal has been ingenieered the right way and has been treated the right way. It depends on if you got good metallurgist at your company who can ingenieer the metal them selves or if you order it in bulk from the foundry. I think that they couldn't aford to buy it from a foundry and can't aford to hire good metallurgist so they are doing it the best they can with the means they have. It is kind of impressive what they are capable of but their product would be "a last choice" product or a "disposable use once" product (but a crankshaft is not ment to be such a product)

When they cast iron in these places, how do they check the quality of the iron? Carbon content? Silisium content? Sulphur content? Is it left to the arbitrary when putting old machine parts, pots and pans and other metal junk in the oven? I wouldn't want a critical part on my car to be made of brittle cast iron with 4% carbon content when a high tensile strength steel is needed.

Our factory in China has the exact same quality control standards as the factories in the EU or the USA. You have to be careful to specify whether you are talking about a company that makes things in China versus a Chinese company. A Chinese company can be very poor quality.

The sandal brigade. Surely working in that environment, that hazardous surrounding, that polluted shop. No safety measures at all, not a beginning of health awareness. Barefoot even. Someone, sometimes must stand still and rethink what he’s doing in that company of … what are they? Made slave to the circumstances? Nota begin of respect for themselves. There is no romance in this type of work, there is ‘how lovely, that’s how we did it in bygone days’. Those days are past us and voorgood reason. The only thing we see is poverty. Not only poverty as in lack of wealth but also povertyas in lack of common sense. These people don’t need to be cheered, they should be pitied. And damn those who get rich over these peoples backs!
