It used to be called B stock but it's amazing what an apprentice and spray gun can do to the value of a guitar..

Is sloppy paint work acceptable on these mod guitars? Look at the pink flamingo jobby at 6':30''. That edge looks terrible. I get that it's been repainted, but do people really not expect a neat job? These people are supposed to know what they're doing. I've seen quite a lot of sloppy work on the modded Gibson guitars shown over the past year, as well as messed-up binding.

Have you looked at the Godess series? They usually incorporate at least one model in pink.

@@clarkbabin9799 Goddess series aren't that great, they are smaller bodied and lighter and don't have the same features as a Standard or a custom and don't even have normal pickups.

So many of the MODs would never sell (even at a lower price) if a private seller did them - especially pickup or knob choices. The cheap trick looked good though.

Love the axcess with out the Floyd Rose. I like them on strat styles but single cuts just looks so good with a traditional bridge and tailpiece.

The caramel copper burst is a take on budget 50's guitars like Dano who did a faux sunburst using paint as there was nothing under it but 'Masonite' hardboard. It is a full circle with Dano now putting stain wood veneers on a new model and a Les Paul looking like an entry level budget brand guitar, lol.

That caramel burst on rhat es335 reminds me of a 1990's PRS finish, I just don't remember the models that had that finish.

The sparkle brown metallic is basically a light Texas tea, and I love it

Actually the flamingo guitar is interesting but not worth it's price tag, for that price I would want: A better applied finish (6:31) -A Translucent pink (with more orange hue like a real flamingo) so you can see the texture of some wood grain. - All black out hardware everywhere - Black translucent finish on the neck so you can see the wood grain - Get rid of the sideways flamingo cartoon which would look silly when you are playing it and use Gibson font to write "Flamingo" instead

I think that might be copper hardware on the copperburst! Brass is much more yellow. I wonder if it's copper plated, cause if it's solid you could probably make back some of the cost by selling it as scrap with prices are they as now!

Hi Trogly, The Caramel Copperbust of course had copper coloured hardwear not brass. :P

I don't have a problem with them spraying over the Les Paul sticker but I think they should have aligned another one right on top of it after painting over it.

Trogly's is an addiction I can live with. Looking forward to a Bloody Bench.

I'm a player of double neck, I use to gig with them all the time, very convenient than changing guitars out between each song. I can't afford the Gibson brand, but My Epiphone double neck is great.

I really liked the blonde 335 and here in Baton Rouge we have a Mardi Gras Parade (Spanish Town Mardi Gras) with the theme colors of Pink & Black and the mascot is a Flamingo. Because we're tacky and non-pc and a little risque. Sadly Gibson's price was more than I cared for them.

A checkerboard guitar is good for kindling.

I would like that white double neck better if it had Custom style headstocks

I love black guitars, but looking at a picture of one is hard because whomever usually takes the pictures doesn't use enough lighting so it's nearly impossible to see details, like that Les Paul with the carved access neck joint and belly cut. I mean yea I bet it's awesome, but the picture is horrible. I bet it's super comfortable. I have yet to demo one, but it's on my bucket list. I have a feeling I would love it, as I tend to avoid the Les Paul shaped guitars because they are usually too square for me.

Wow, that R9 came in my absolute favorite finish "Dirty Lemon Burst". And I have no problem admitting, I think the guys at Heritage do that finish much better than Gibson does.

gibson hollows out the guitars except a few custom shops, everything else is a studio model weight relieved ''solid body'' except the ''Lite'' which is nearly an acoustic

That horrendous paint chipping at the binding on a $5200 pink flamingo....yeesh. Looks like they just took an off the rack black custom, sloppy taped the binding and sprayed a super thick coat of base/pink then never bothered to match the level of the clear from the pre-molested black custom after they ripped the binding tape off and chunked up the edge.

Gibson has been lacking on QC lately. Thought new management would have made them better, and for a short window they seemed to be, but its just still going down the path of carelessness, while jacking prices and suing small businesses. $6000 guitars shouldnt have heel cracks brand new at the store.

QC lately? The wood is usually good less they lay on more paint to cover a defect. Seriously their paint has a lot issues for years at least on off the rack models. Sorry, I’m done! LOL
