Every one of my siblings and I were unable to form meaningful relationships due to watching the godly, toxic marriage of our parents who only stayed together because "god said so". Took years of therapy for us to learn what basic respect was in a relationship. Turned out we werent the only family in this situation. It was the common experience of the majority of kids we grew up with in our fundamentalist christian community that was unsurprisingly riddled with domestic violence and child abuse.

To the people who think that being gay is a choice, does that mean when you were young you could have chosen to be gay if you wanted to? If you answer no to that question, why would you think that someone else could choose to be gay? I honestly don't know why I am gay, but I do know that it had nothing to do with how my parents raised me. I was nowhere near a "momma's boy". I was actually much closer to my dad and spent more time with him than I did with my mom, and he treated me just like any "normaI" dad would treat his son. I was raised exactly the same way and in the same house as my older brother, who turned out to be straight. And I was never sexually abused when I was a kid. I never even knew anyone who was gay until I was 17. Nothing about my childhood was abnormal or out of the ordinary. If it were as easy as just being a choice, I would have chosen to be straight a long time ago, because the discrimination and hatred that many gay people face has tormented me for most of my life. Because of that, I still haven't accepted myself for being gay, unfortunately, from the time I knew that I was different when I was 8-9 years old, all the way up until today. I thank God that there are caring people out there who support and understand the LGBTQ community.

Everything you're prattling on about, you've already lost numerous times over, and you just keep repeating it. Why are you so obsessed with the attention of gay men, troll? Hmmm? • @djhutcherson6761

    @djhutcherson6761

@Viktor Petrov so are you saying that if you wanted to, you could choose to turn gay and be sexually attracted to other men? Do you think you could ever be tempted and enjoy having sex with men, and have the desire for that kind of relationship? If you think that you could never have the desire to be with a man and enjoy having sex with men, that means that your sexual orientation probably isn't something you could ever change, no matter how badly you wanted to be gay. What do you think causes homosexuality? Like I said before in my comment above, I don't know what the cause was in my case. I have never really believed the argument that gay people are "born that way", but I am sure that your sexual orientation isn't fluid, and that it will never be possible for me to find women sexually attractive, even though I would give my right arm to be straight.

Whut? "Children have always been brought forth in monogamous marriage"? You should try reading the Bible. Abraham had one wife (his half-sister, by the way) and at least one concubine. We don't _know_ if Isaac had any concubines, but there's nothing to indicate that he would have thought it was wrong. Jacob had _two_ wives and _two_ concubines. Mosaic Law - God's Perfect Law - allows for marrying more than one woman. Gideon, a champion of Israel, had two wives. King David, who was "a man after the God's own heart" had _eight_ wives. Polygamy and concubinates are _everywhere_ in the Old Testament.

@@shidfard *"Hmsxlity is a net negative to society as it perverses natural gender roles"* First, this is an Argument from Nature logical fallacy. What is deemed "natural", is not the arbiter of what is right or wrong, good or bad. Cancer is natural, but that classification does not make cancer right or good. Glasses are unnatural, but that classification does not make glasses bad or wrong. Secondly, just because YOU proclaim it's against nature, does not mean it actually is. When did nature arise with a sentient consciousness, then impart its intent to you? Meanwhile, what can be observed in nature, is natural. And same-sex attraction and gender fluidity can be observed all throughout nature. Some species are asexual, some can change gender at will, and then there are intersex humans (google it). So your notions of nature, are directly contradicted by examples in nature. in short, not a rational argument. *"and lead to further degeneracy"* Your opinion, and not a rational argument. *"and break down of nuclear family roles in society."* Your opinion, and not a rational argument. *"All great socities that have accepted and normalized said behavior have collapsed. Polygamy runs rampant in said hmsxual cultures."* Nice claim. Now list the specified "all great societies", then demonstrate evidence they "accepted and normalized said behavior", and that historians agree this was THE causal agent to those societies collapse. Meanwhile, the Netherlands legalized gay marriage in 2001, and shows no sign of this "break down of nuclear family", nor societal collapse. Nor has any other nation that has legalized it. Modern examples, directly contradict your opinion regarding this. So this argument is not only errant, but it's also a variation on a Slippery Slope Logical Fallacy. So not a rational argument. *"A lot of evidence points to it being a paraphilia due to is deviation from the species. ;)"* This is just a word salad of nonsense. And it's an attempt to employ an Argument from Normality fallacy. So again, not a rational argument.

Why is it wrong to quote Leviticus 18:22? First and foremost, because we don’t use any other verse from this entire book, not one, to set standards of conduct for modern living. Not one! Who cannot see the hypocrisy in such misappropriation of Scripture? People who love to quote this one verse cannot quote any other verse from this book... at all. If you are going to quote one verse in Leviticus, and if you are going to stand on that one verse, believing that it is valid today, then you have to follow ALL of Leviticus. Quoting Leviticus 18:22 as an argument against homosexuality is, first of all, taking scripture out of context, and any theologian will tell you that this is a cardinal sin of translation. Why is this? Because Leviticus 18:22 has to be understood in its relevance to the rest of the entire eighteenth chapter, as well as the entire book of Leviticus. A person cannot understand the meaning of one verse completely by reading only that one verse. One has to understand what the writer meant by understanding the situation in which the verse was written. What led to that verse being written? What led to that chapter being written? What led to that entire book being written? Until you can answer those questions, you do not fully understand what you read. If you are going to read the Bible and tell anyone what any portion of it means, then to properly do that, you have to do four things: 1.) Historical Research - Go back to the time in which it was written and ask, “What was happening in that time that made the writer put these words to print?” 2.) Cultural Research - Study the culture of the people who wrote this portion of the Bible to see how their culture was different from our culture today. 3.) Linguistic Research - Go back to the original language in which that portion of scripture was written and see what the words meant when they were written. 4.) Anthropological Research - Study the origins, the development, the beliefs and customs of the people who wrote these passages. A point I should interject here, if the version of the Bible that you use has the word “homosexual” anywhere in it, use it with caution! The word homosexual was not invented until 1869, when the Hungarian physician, Karoly Maria Benkert, created terms for the many variations in sexual orientation. Leviticus 18:22 , in the original Paleo-Hebrew, says: “V’et zachar lo tishkav mishkveh ishah toevah he.” The first two words “v’et” means, “and with.” The next word is “zachar,” and a zachar is themale phallic symbol used in the sexual rituals of the temple of Molech. The entire 18th chapter of Leviticus is a prohibition against any further worship in the temple of Molech for the Israelites, and it lists all of the sexual rituals that were used in that temple worship. The 22nd verse even mentions the tool that was used with the temple prostitutes, the zachar, and if you want further mention of this tool, look no further than Ezekiel 16:17 “You took your beautiful things, made of the gold and silver that I had given you, and you made yourself images of men and fornicated with them.” Here the words are “tsalmey zachar” meaning “phallic images.” I would also mention that doing so did not make someone an outcast. It rendered them “toevah,” ritually impure, not “zimah,” a wrong that is a “violation of justice.” When someone was rendered “toevah,” that person had to bathe in the mikvah, the temple ritual baths before entering the temple. It’s that simple. For all the proofs, here is a link: www.amazon.com/Homosexuality-Bible-Truth-Does-Condemn/dp/1698285825/ref=pd_ybh_a_9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=4X3D8MA7CBES8QNG9FJ8

@@christianapologetics9130 First of all, nowhere in the Bible is homosexuality condemned. You can trot out every passage that you think does so, and I will be more than happy to educate you as to what the original Hebrew and Greek actually says. But to your claim that homosexuality is not in the created order, you don't even need to know Hebrew or Greek to know that your statement is incorrect. Go to Genesis, and read the order of creation. First, God created "ha-adam," which is the Hebrew for "mankind," "males." The word "adam" means "man," and "ha" is the word for "the," so every time that you see the word Adam in the English, it is not the name of an individual, it is the Hebrew word "ha adam," for "mankind." And God only created the male race to live on the planet Earth. No women, just men, and they lived with each other in a completely male race for quite some time. No women, just men, the male race, ha adam. After some time, God decided that the males needed some entertainment, so God created the animals. Now, you had men living with each other, enjoying each other, doing whatever with each other, and God introduces animals to the mix. Still no women. And this relationship went on for quite some time. Finally, God decides that man needs "a helpmeet." somebody to do his cleaning and cooking, so he finally makes "yitzah," "females, "the female race." So, if you read your Bible even in English, you will see that men were created first, men lived with each other and had relationships with each other, all without women being present. And the Bible, written by male chauvinists, put women at the bottom of creation, lower than cattle, which is how women were treated all during the writing of the books of the Bible. And, by the way, there were not simply two people named Adam and Eve who were placed in some garden. The word "adam," as I stated, simply means mankind, and the word "yitzah" simply means womankind. The name Eve never appears in the Hebrew. Men first, then animals, then women. Get your order of creation correct.

So near the beginning of the video let's say starting at 2:30 . It is private it's not harming anybody it is a civil rights issue and it won't harm the church because you are to separate church and state. His argument for this is that you don't separate church and state and it will start harming the church. And in no popular opinion is it OK for an older gentleman to be with an underaged person. He's trying to use sensationalized examples to exaggerate a point. Even if it was a popular opinion we have a standard for age of consent. Also for him to say later on in the video that's how the the world is a ridiculous statement is a bit of a hypocritical statement. . back in biblical times it was OK for a much older gentleman to be with somebody 12 or 13. It was OK to start your family at that age in back then if you didn't start your family at that age you risked not starting a family at all. times were different back then but according to him you can't use the phrase that's how the world is. Because that is "ridiculous"

IF ANY GAYBABY WATCHED THIS FOR INTELLECTUAL REASON, I DO COMMEND YOU AND HOPE YOU STAY LOVING TOWARDS YOURSELF AND YOUR NATURE, WHICH IS NOT A SIN! Thankfully there is in the US Constitution a division of state and church. There are many loving and healthy lifelong monogomous lgbtq relationships. We raise loving and caring families, and we're citizens who have the right to have marriages recognized by the state. To have the same inheritance, tax, and other social rights that any married person deserves. You can believe your little book, but morality, and monogmous homosexual relationships long predate the bible. And it is not a sin, nor is it a choice, nor is it nothing comparble to lieing or divorcing. Nor is it a human odity. Penguins are a classic case of animals that have life long monogmous homosexual partnerships, adopting eggs and contruibuting to the life and love of the colony. Giraffes, lions and so many more, homosexuality is so prevalent in the animal kingdom, it is not unnatural. Certainly not a sin. It is love. It is caring and healthy relationships. And should be respect and honored as all love should be.

You did not answer the question about what is harmful in homosexuality. You present it as a commandmend, not to engage in it. OK. That is true. Its in the bible. What is confusing is, that with f.e. murder or theft, it is obvious why this is wrong and how it harms people. But what harm does it, if a tiny percentage of gays marry each other or have sex in the first place? As long as christians cannot come up with arguments parallel to the bible, they will not convince people. And it is possible, that the anti-gay rules are outdated. Maybe they made sense in ancient times, bc back then it was a means to distinguish from heathen cults and societies. Just like animal sacrifieces and weird rules about how to corporal punish your slaves and that you should stone your kids, if they dont obey. Is there any conclusive argument, why this rule should still apply in the 21st Century?

Here’s some arguments I can think of, some are devil’s advocate: -Some ancient philosophers like Plato condemned it because he considered it to be an act of pure lust since it could not result in procreation. -Gay subcultures tend to be highly promiscuous. The average number of partners a straight man will have in his lifetime is 7, for a gay man it’s 50. This is also a high contributing factor to the STD epidemic in the gay subculture as well. -Gay subcultures tend to encourage hedonistic lifestyles with not a lot of moderation. Drug use is rampant as is unbridled kink practices. -Many ancient philosophers (and some modern ones) believe engaging in same sex attraction long term makes men effeminate or keeps them from becoming fully masculine. An understandable anxiety if you lived in an ancient tribe because in those days if your men weren’t manly you got conquered by your neighbors.

@@petervonbergen5364 A decent question. One more argument against it I can think of is that for submissive men in gay relationships, they will inevitably receive anatomical damage since the male body isn’t designed to be penetrated. As they age, this often makes them incontinent. I’d say that the idea that sexuality can never be changed is a pretty modern idea. The very term “straight” comes from “the straight and narrow.” This term originated from the phenomenon of gay men stopping their behavior and “going straight”, which apparently happened a lot in the past before our culture pushed this idea that it never happens. Amusingly, the term “straight” used to refer to a gay individual who had chosen to stop engaging in that behavior. Tastes change. I used to love peas as a kid, now I hate them. I used to hate carrots, now I love them. Anything is possible.

@@TheNightWatcher1385 I am no expert on this. But all I read about studies and research points in the direction, that it is a given if you are gay and that it cant be changed. Some christians claim that, but its very likely that they just live in denial, because many victims of "conversion therapy" have admitted that they pretended to be straight now bc of the social pressure. That cant be good, if it leads to forced bigotry. The argument, that in former times it was seen that way is not very strong. In former times, people knew literally nothing about psychology and science. They believed the earth is flat. I have seen the testimony of many gay men, who claimed to have been always that way, as long as they can remember. I admit this is not a comfortable view for christians. But should we not be honest more than apologetic? Imagine christians - who ought to love their next like themselves - terrorize and invalidate people, who literally have no choice. They can either live as shamed outsiders or deny who they are. Isnt that horrible? Sadly we have no direct word from the lord about it. And Paul admitted that he offered his personal opinions concerning these things and always pointed out, if it is somehting directly from God that he speaks about. Is it possible, that Paul was a child of his time and just judged it as bad, bc everybody did? On the other hand, the anal health issues are really disgusting. That cant be the way either. I am still confused about the issue.

@@petervonbergen5364 I don’t personally buy the idea that behavior can never change, and even if certain desires don’t change, every one of us deals with our own temptations and inclinations. This doesn’t give us free reign to engage in all our temptations. Some are prone to alcohol abuse and so take steps to avoid it. Some are more prone to violence and so try to keep themselves calm with various methods. Some of us suffer with depression and so go to therapy. Even if it were true that our base desires don’t change, our chosen behavior certainly can. For example, I’ve had same sex encounters before, but I don’t consider myself gay and I haven’t had an encounter in years now, because I simply chose not to pursue them, combined with prayers for the strength to do so. Am I permanently changed? The temptation sometimes appears, but my behavior has definitely changed on that front and if it happens again I will repent and seek forgiveness as we should all do whenever we fall short. If we don’t believe that anything is possible with God then we’re saying he’s not all powerful, and if he isn’t, why would he be worthy of worship?

I think that when we talk about same sex marriage nobody seems to mention that this question originally arose not necessarily for the sake of marriage as a contract but that in certain countries being married grants you certain perks such as reduced prices on certain services or tax brakes etc. Taking this into consideration there is no reason why gay people should be denied this option which everyone else has access to. I also understand the opposite view on the matter as well as the arguments behind it and while I disagree with it and can discuss it I will also accept it as one of several views on the matter.

@Gary Richardson People often attempt to discredit that verse because it’s in the Law of Moses. However, it is also written: “Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.” ~‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:26-27‬ and also: “Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” ~‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:9-11‬ Plus, marriage is taught as between a man and a woman, with no connection to the Law of Moses mind you but how God created the established order from the very beginning, even since the days of Adam and Eve

@@MusicalRaichu God's Word is the beginning & end of every debate. Any train of thought that doesn't align itself with God's teachings are false opinions. When we start accepting lies, we stop recognizing the truth. God said, "Neither Adulterers, Fornicators, Homosexuals, liars, thieves, gossipers, murderers, blasphemers, revilers, or idol worshipers will enter the Kingdom of Heaven". God set down laws, teachings & judgments depicting what was allowed & forbidden. Man was told to 'choose' whom he would serve between good or evil. Sin is not OF God, but sin is OF evil; evil will not be allowed in Heaven. God put his laws into every man's heart, therefore, everyone born 'knows' good from evil. Christ's entire purpose was to remove man's sin nature by teaching him how to stop thinking, speaking & acting AS it is in Hell, & start living AS it is in Heaven by changing his thoughts, words & actions according to the laws of Heaven. When man rejects God & his teachings, he's 'choosing' to embrace the forbidden evils of the world. It's impossible for God to create a man AS an abomination, attach an unforgiveable sin, then not allow him into Heaven. "Impossible"! Man is not "born hated by God". Man "chooses" to think, speak, & act as sins that are hated & forbidden by God. This is God's world with God's rules. The laws of Heaven will never accept sin, nor give "equality" to sinners that has been ordained only for the righteous. The purpose of a life is to know, love & serve God, not Satan. Sinners will never, ever achieve self-acceptance or self-worth; disobedience will prove to be their lifetime adversary.

If that were the case, there would be no nicene creed, no doctrines of the trinity or incarnation or atonement, no catechisms or hymn books or liturgies, ... What you quote wasn't God saying it, it was Paul saying it, and you misquoted him. He never mentioned homoxesuals. That would have been impossible since there was no such concept at the time. You seem to be propounding legalism, an unbiblical approach to morality (e.g. Gal 5.1). Everything God said is based on two principles, to give him our allegiance and to do good and not harm other people. While I don't doubt these speakers' allegiance to God, I believe they are harming people and need to repent. For straight men to pontificate about people not represented is discriminatory, hurtful and harmful. If you're suggesting that gay people can change their orientation, then you are incorrect. Medical, psychological and religious interventions have been tried and all failed with disastrous results. People died. To persist in pushing deadly ideas is, putting it bluntly, murder. What's your point, ZZTOP, as we are all sinners? About "abominations:" Even by translation, no such term appears in the original documents of the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) and New Testament. The biblical anti-homosexuality scriptures appear for good reasons: Heterosexual males were having sexual relations with their gender, for any number of reasons. And those verses have been traditionally interpreted to be an indictment of homosexuals and their behavior -- a form misinformation and/or mischief coming from heterosexuals and their sensibilities. With the exception of the love affair between Jonathan & David, homosexual adult males in loving relationships are absent from the Bible. There is NO EVIDENCE, none, demonstrating God / Jesus had enmity for such people. God and the prophets understood that heterosexual men having sexual relations with their gender put in jeopardy the human race itself. Also some of the men responsible for interpreting, writing, translating and transcribing (scribes) the "men sleeping with men (MSWM) and related verses, had agendas having little to do with inspiration from God. For lack of context and misunderstanding there can be a "distinction with a difference" between homosexuality and homosexula, and, heterosexuality and heterosexual, each one, one will interpret scripture to be against homosexuals and what they do in their bedrooms. Without context we "tell lies while telling the truth" (my quote). Some of Bibles published today omit terms/phrases like "abomination," "women sleeping with women," and "homosexual," not for being politically correct, but for not being in the original texts -- and it's Biblically profane to put words in God's mouth, which puts one in mortal danger at eternity. Going forward the record will be set straight (no pun intended). (Folks, if responding, don't quote scripture, as I know them. I've used a historical-critical method for trying to understand them, which has enabled me to recognize there's a difference between the "God of Faith" and "The Historical Jesus. I come to my conclusions after studying something about: The histories, cultures and traditions of the the ancient Near East, The Roman World and Greece; the history, and science, of sexuality; the problems of translation and transcription; and most importantly, human nature. That stated, who am I to tell you what to believe? I sleep well at night, have a relationship with my God, and He's always been there for me and mine. One can't touch that. With all due respect. Peace!)

Not a toy. But can still be love between two married men and two married women. The Bible says "Do not lay with man as you would with woman." That means if you are a man who loves a man, this man will fulfill you in that he is a man. He will not fulfill those parts of you like a woman. He will fulfill those parts of you like a man. *Is having a same-sex lover a terrible or evil decision?* It is not. *Is having a same-sex lover a VERY BIG decision?* Yes, it is a choice one must make maturely with careful thought. They will not fulfill you the same exact way as an opposite gender individual will. But in alternate ways, yes, they will still fulfill you. Many men and woman who are "straight", even struggle with lust and desire to commit adultery all the time. It's a fight each and every day. If possible, we should rather struggle with living a celibate life. It is unfortunately a struggle man has. Do not do what God says we should fight against. It is a different matter if someone does not care about God and His commandments. It says adulterous, haters of truth, homosexuality etc, shall not inherit the kingdom of heaven.

@@SirFriess What you say about being born this way is very strong and believable to those who struggle with same sex attraction. We all have pasts and struggles, but as we mature in life we come to realizesee that not all that we are taught and used to is right in life. I know that most of us have past life stories to tell about ourselves, but not all are prepared, or have the lengthy time in order to do so. Well, Sabian and all who wish to listen/read, here is my life history so far. Believe it or not that's up to you. In short, at 6 I was molested sexually by 2 men in their early 20's. These 2 men dealt so gently with me that I enjoyed it and I knew nothing else, and this went on for years (family of course). I wanted nothing else but males, as this is all I knew and I became obsessed with it. At age 13 I was tricked by a 34 year old married woman to have sex, and guess what, after a few times I also enjoyed that. At this young age of 13, I was so confused and lost, still at school. Where do I fit in, and does this now mean that I am bisexual ⚤ ? I still had a stronger pull to my 1st experience however. To end short I found God Jehovah (and believed and believe in Him still), and my whole perspective changed towards how my life was living as a bisexual and being content with that. I even thought of joining porn before I met God, but thankfully never ended up there like Joshua Broome ex gay pornstar, now living for Christ. Knowing what God's Word says and because I believe in Him, I started fighting to live by His expectations. I got married and we plan to have children. Guess what guys? I still live with this continuous lust battle for men and women, but I know where my reality and true love is and that is with and in my wife. I choose to do what God wants because I believe in Him. If you don't believe in Him it does not matter then as to how you live your life. I still struggle but I now know what the truth is, and that is Jesus Christ.

@@benvelthuysen6545 Hey thank you for sharing your story. I’m so sorry that happened to you. I believe my point still stands however. A little bit about me: I came out as gay last year and have been in a relationship with a guy for almost 7 months. I’ve known basically my whole life that I’m gay but I deeply suppressed those thoughts about the same sex because I knew it was a sin according to god. That was up until I deconverted from Christianity. Now, I didn’t deconvert because I was gay but I just became unconvinced of the Bible. So touching on one the points you made, you are absolutely correct that being gay is meaningless to people like me that aren’t trying to “honor” god. Addressing one of your other points, about being molested, I hope you weren’t insinuating that gay kids are gay because they’ve been sexually abused by someone. I myself have never been molested/raped and I’m still gay. Again, I’m sorry you had to go through what you’ve experienced in life but I just can’t agree with your views nor the views of the Bible. They’re immoral in my eyes.

My favourite verse from the bible that I like to quote to bigots. Penalty for Violating the Sabbath 32 Now while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day. 33 And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation. 34 They put him under guard, because it had not been explained what should be done to him. 35 Then the Lord said to Moses, “The man must surely be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.” 36 So, as the Lord commanded Moses, all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, and he died. I'm wondering if any of you bigots ever picked up a stick on the Holy day? If so then should you not be executed? Your book says so.

This literally only applied to the Israelites in the old testament as part of their own covenant with god. In the new testament AKA modern day most, covenants made with god were remade less legalistically but through the faith of and teachings of jesus, therefore our book does not say we should still be killed for picking up sticks on a Saturday. Im also not a bigot, I simply believe that true love is what god defines it as because he is literally perfection. Love as he defines it is a monogenous relationship between man and woman with any sexual activity taking place in that relationship having to be open to the creation of life. As you can see lgbtq relations aren't any of that. I also do not go out of my way to spread hate to these groups or treat them differently because of their orientation, jesus himself when he saw sinners did not ostracize them from everything but instead educated them on the true way of doing things. Lastly This isnt cherry picking what I choose to follow in my religion because the old and new testament are two different rulesets in the bible with only the new testament applying today. The old testament is simply just the documentation of how Christianity originated and made the building blocks for what it is today. Not everything in the old testament applies to actual Christianity as it is now. TLDR: Study some basic theology dumbass 💀

@Κύκλωπας There are a number of things presented that I wouldn't accept without question. One that stands out particularly is the "slippery slope" argument that is suggested in the video. This is made on the assumption that a "love is all you need" principle is being established through the acceptance of same sex relationships. I see no good reason to imagine this is the case and none is offered. Restrictions on the age at which someone can consent to a sexual relationship would be less appropriate. They would seem to have nothing at all to do with sexual orientation - why should/would they? I suspect the argument is made in the video merely to paint a broad-brush view of same sex relationships as equivalent to abusive ones. But it isn't substantiated ... hence the interest in challenging it to see if there is any merit in it at all or if it is just invention.

‘You shouldn’t be gay’ doesn’t really help somebody who is already confused and feels different. Arrogance and ignorance to the highest degree.
