I'm torn on the stub cannon. 18 inch range is awesome. Really, the only tough part is making sure you get a successful hit. With the strength 5 for wounds, you have a fantastic chance of being able to roll injury dice.

Indeed! People trash the Stub Cannon, but its good for what its designed for. Close to Medium range with the BS 4 is not bad, and it hits like a freight train when it lands!

@@CommanderCheapSkate I agree. Who doesn't like a weapon with an 18" range that wounds on Strength 5!! Boltguns are awesome, but you have to equip a stub gun if it runs out of ammo.

I run three in my starting gang…the main kicker is knock back. Either double chance to knock someone from on-high and/or TWO damage. Which is absurdly powerful, especially early game.

very good videos on the various gangs. I like how you explain your rationale. Great stuff.

I m curious now that GW has released weapons expansion packs for each of the six houses are the ones from forgeworld obsolete? If so will you redo some list? I like your work.

I think GW is parting ways with the Weapons Packs for Necromunda. They've already done most of the core gangs; so I might to rework some of the lists to fit modern times :D

Have your opinion of Stub Cannons changed since this video? Want to use them for my gang instead of a Boltgun.

Hmm. Personally I'd never recommend using the stub cannon. They have a nice strength but no buffs to hit and a mediocre range. Sure you might pass more ammo rolls but your basic Goliath Bruiser isn't going to hit anyone to actually cause the knock-back and there is almost no way to improve them. I actually prefer the regular shotgun to the stub cannon as even though it's a little more expensive it can upgrade better with new ammo from the trade post as the campaign goes on. Plus you get a bonus to hit.

I agree, the Stub Cannon is always a weapon of last resort. The only reason why a player might take it is because of the price :D

@@CommanderCheapSkate True. I suppose they could also make an okay backup weapon for a champion with a heavy weapon. Bit more reach than a pistol and a reliable ammo roll and the Champ should hopefully have the stats (maybe the skills if you use the gene-smithing for access to shooting for example) to hit with one. Not really something anyone should be doing in a starting gang though. No point getting back-up weapons until you're far enough into a campaign for everyone to have good primary weapons!

I've run two in each list to save myself some creds. They are mediocre but str 5 with knockback has made them pretty good especially early campaign.

Why I didn´t see this video before I start my campaign? :p One question: How in the first rooster the Forge Tyrant get +1T, 1W? Thank you so much

Any thoughts about vehicles? I just bought a gang box and a box of maulers. Really like the look of the Ironcrawler too.

I'm actually making.a video about that topic for house Goliath. It will drop soon! I'd say take one mauler for assaults and a large vehicle to carry most of your crew. The Ironcrawler look cool, not sure about the price though.

@@75kurai My friends and I are just using the same rules for the Cargo-8 Ridge Hauler +50 Credits. The +50 Credits are for the Track and Transport Cage on the back. It also loses -1 to Movement for the track. We think its the closest we would get to some rules for it. So in that case, it would be worth it, rules wise.

hey nice guide I'm brand new to Nexromunda and I just bought a Goliath box and I cam only find 2 grenade launchers but the cheapskate build says I need 3

Oof. Sorry about that! You can convert one of the stub cannons to look like one if you want to! Just clip off the top ridge of the barrel and it looks like a six shot grade launcher! I hope that helps!

Isn't there only 2 stub guns in the box set? In your lists there are 3 or 4. am i missing something?

That part I'm not sure of. But you can always say that their stub guns are holstered :)

use the stub pistol/[plasmas as stubs maybe mess up the plasma glowy thing to make it look broken.

Yes, only 2 grenade launchers as well so the 1st roster cant be made straight out the box.
