Nice Escher Strat video. I didn't realize the specialist could bring the chem thrower... just didn't occur to me. Definitely swapping her and my shot gunner around. That template doesn't need BS3+

Indeed. I didn't realize it later until I was doing my review. I believe they made the rule change with the House of Blades release.

@@CommanderCheapSkate Yea, I only just started going over the Eschers again and was delighted to find the chem thrower in the special weapons. I was thinking it was a heavy, but it only takes 1 action to use, so she doesn't need any special skills to make using it viable.

@@dirtybirdsf I thought it'd always been basically a weird flamethrower (it isn't tagged as heavy in the oldest physical book I have anyway! And that particular book still lists the Goliath Rivet cannon as unweildy). It's just it was never all that good before the House of Blades chem rules so people only took them for rule of cool.

Thanks for the breakdown. Looking at your 💰💰💰 list, am I right in thinking that Escher can't access the Grenade Launcher for a starting build as it's not on their house weaponry list? I would love to be wrong... Cheers.

It is available on their starting list, I just didn't want players to have to purchase the upgrade kit if they didn't want to is all :D. but feel free to change it up!

Am I missing a rule somewhere? I thought you could only have as many or less non gangers as ganger. So in the money bags build there is a leader, 2 champs and 2 juves but only 3 gangers

In the rules for the house books you have the fight x rule. So juves, gangers, and prospects have the fighter x label, and your gang must be made up of at least half of those fighters

when im making the first list, my matriarch #1 is only 185 credits but i have the three items you said to put on her. where are the extra 20 credits coming from?

They're really good too! The only problem is that you're probably not going to recruit them when you first start off because of the credit cost.

I like those to go arround, taking out the seriously injured enemys. Like a mobile unit, doing some coups the gra 9" away from the shooter!

In the first team build, why does the gang matriarch #2 have two pistols? Why wouldn't you rather have a melee weapon instead of an additional pistol? With two pistols don't you get 1 shot with each pistol and then one unarmed melee hit, whereas with a melee weapon you would get 2 melee weapon hits and 1 pistol hit? I'm a noob at the game and was just wondering why this was built this way, and if the way that I have calculated the hits is correct.

The sidearm trait on pistols allows you to use them as melee weapons in close combat. So assuming you charge into close combat, you get 2 attacks base, +1 for charging, and +1 for having an additional hand weapon (laspistol), giving you four attacks in total. 3 Attacks from the Plasma Pistol and 1 from the laspistol. The Plasma Pistol has the higher strength, so this is the one that's going to do the damage. You can also shoot both weapons as well, with a -1 to hit granted, but if you're close range, you get bonuses to hit so this negates it. Besides, you can always get a better melee weapon as you level up your gan.

@@CommanderCheapSkate Note that the rule for shooting sidearms in close combat specifies that you can only make one attack with the weapon with the sidearm trait. This means that in your example, you would get 1 plasma pistol attack, 1 laspistol attack, and the rest would be unarmed.
