Also the earlier settlers brought horse here to help explore , and if times got bad or worse, pull out the charcoal and lite the fire.

@@TREmendousQue Wouldnt keep it on my list of go to steaks lol. They didn't season it at all, I'm assuming because they made like a sweet red sauce on it. Also, it was obviously a bit more touch but a horse is muscular.

I eat horse steak or sausage every week ..and is delicious .... better than Château Briand . There are even horse steakhouses in my country . In the States beef meat is polluted by hormons ' That's why the EU has forbidden meat from US It's up to you Horsemeat or Hormon meat

Gave 👍 bc I wanted to see the difference between beef rib eye and horse steak. I swear the store sold horse. Not a national store. It was very dense and huge for the price. I actually didn't do the purchase and only ate four small bites. Now, I feel like your children. Freaked out.

I've eaten horse in Belgium and Germany, no big issue. Guessing you are in/were in Canada? given that it is illegal to sell horse meat in the US, though not illegal to eat (except for 4 states).

@@TREmendousQue I would have never guessed lol. Anyway i can see why its ban in the usa but because of that ban its not even a option to raise horse clean for butchering human human consumption. And that is sad because it is good and very healthy.

Apparently it’s good for you, it’s just the idea sounds bizarre cause we were always taught horses we’re our “friends”😂

Here in Sweden where I live eating horse is quite normal actually, and when we buy a cut like this its safe if not even safer to cook it like you'd do any grassfed cow. Horse can be a bit tough rare, so I'd recommend medium-rare or medium

I agree with Jack. Medium rare pet medium is probably best.

I have tried Horse meat before and I absolutely loved it. Its also very healthful but I am NEVER gonna eat it again. Something about it just feels wrong.

I know if my parent failed to truely tell what I was eating I would never trust them again
