IN THIS EPISODE OF SHELTER HEROES "WE GOT A ROOSTER!" I laughed so hard.

Whew, Keith has a new look with the beard. I really admire his multiple talents. He's a gem, and so is his good wife. Those pups are adorable and I am so glad you were able to rescue them and their poor moms.

Fiesta is healing up so well. She's so cooperative about it too.

What? John and Kimberly are married? I just love it! John does such amazing work, and Kimberly is my very favorite person to watch on Horse Plus. I'd love to hear more about this secret romance! May God bless this multi-talented couple that complement each aspect of each other absolutely perfectly!

Bless the woman who wanted nothing but the best for the rooster. So many people wouldn't even go through the trouble of even surrendering them when they arent easy to deal with. She realized how precious that one life was.

Every couple of episodes, Tawnee does something that reminds us that she is one hard-working, capable horsewoman. Moving the old ramp with her Jeep winch, then pulling fence posts up with her bare hands! Amazing!! 💪🏼

@@Terry-lh8cn it depends on the panels too, I worked on a horse ranch for a while and we had some that were old school and very heavy and some that look the same but they were nice and light! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thank goodness the police stepped up took action and seized those poor dogs. Thankyou HPHS for taking great care of them while they recover.

IMO, it would also be appropriate that a share of the sales price goes to Horse Plus. Because as we all know, Glimmer is not the only Big Lick horse they rescue on a pretty regular basis.

Perfect ending, mamma dog reunited with her pups, nursing them, and giving them kisses. Big shout out to the person who called and for your quick response and rescue! Thank you for all you are doing ❤

God bless you for rescuing those dogs and I'm glad that Fiesta is healing as well as she is I just hope she doesn't try and jump the fence again. 💕🐎🐾

I also live here in Tennessee. I’m originally from New Jersey and I see it every day. The animals being treated the same way as these precious where I live. I got neighbors that just don’t care they let the dogs run free feed them they don’t even go to a vet. None of them got shots. It’s heartbreaking. I do my best to try to help feed them I even took in one of the strays that’s been here for four years she was skinny And I never seen anything like this before me and my husband even rescued straight little kitten that nobody here wanted to help it’s I don’t know what to say on that but you guys being there for the animals and I wish that we had something over here like to help these animals that need thank you horse plus being there for the animals and I hope the day comes the laws of change around here. Love you all let’s keep fighting.

Tennessee kills me with their cruelty laws. 9/10 animals that are finally taken there’s been issues there before. Make me so angry. I’ve been telling everyone about the new bill. ❤ Craigslist is another site that needs to be shut down! Can’t wait for my birthday so we can donate. Almost every horse our family has is a rescue. Our most recent came from Auction

Thanks for bringing us along on your activities. Picking up the neglected dogs was not pleasant. There was literal danger. Thanks also to the police willing to work to make it safe.

People who live in grinding poverty---who have been raised in poverty, surrounded by drug addicts, (and worse) etc., and have themselves been abused and limited all their lives, have very little capacity to make healthy choices for themselves and their children, let alone their animals. Tawnee is extremely aware of her new home in Middle Tennessee, and some of these problems. She is diplomatic as well as kind, and I applaud her handling of the sad situation of the back yard breeder dog situation. I can't say the same for the majority of the audience who watches these videos. Many (if not most) seemingly Love to Hate and pass judgement upon people whose situation you are entirely ignorant about. Your lack of compassion for the level of desperation as well as negative conditioning so many of these people grew up with is appalling. The older I get, the more I give Thanks for my family and all the opportunities and teachers I've had along the way. Money never guarantees growing up in a loving home, Love is Love, no matter what social strata you're born into. I don't like animal abuse either. But, can we at least agree that it is a complicated issue?

I liked this episode. So exciting to have the vet's starting Monday. Black beauty could be ambassador for HP. I had no idea that john and Kimberley were a couple, how wonderful, they are precious, so glad they adopted the rooster. Thank you Tawney for getting those dogs and puppies, they seemed so sweet❤.

The black Akel Teke (I’m sure I spelled that wrong) is not a common breed in the world and certainly not in the US. I’ve watched documentaries on rare horse breeds and that’s one of them. Supposed to be excellent endurance horses. How that one ended up in the auction is astonishing! Glad you have it!

I first heard about the breed when I was doing Competitive Trail Riding back in the late 90's early 2000's, One of the competitors was planning on breeding her mare to one. So there was at least one here in the US at that time. Edit was for a spelling error.

That’s a saddlebred. The breed test they used is inaccurate due to the genetic crossover in most horse breeds. You can look up the test they used and read the information on it yourself

not gonna lie this episode remained me of how my sister and her boyfriend got their dog Dirk. Super skinny but super friendly and wanted to give everyone lovings. Story is her boyfriend was dropping off a doordash order, costumer opened the door and Dirk came out, boyfriend commented on the dog, costumer asked if Dirk belonged to him, he said no, costumer told him he had called animal control and they should be there soon to get him and to make sure he didn't get hit by a car. Waited animal control never showed him so he loaded Dirk up and went to surprise my sister at work. They took him and the rest is history. They still have Dirk to this day, he's back to a healthy weight, he loves my sister and her boyfriend, basically left his past behind him.

Glad to see Fiesta doing so well. That was a bit scary at first. You can't blame a young horse for trying. They don't know where their limits are until they do, so you just try to keep them safe and pray they don't hurt themselves.

I never gave my horse a watering trough that big. Because she would have climbed in and laid down. Even with her 100 gallon trough, she'd get all four legs in and stand in it or get both front legs in and splash all the water out. Now I regret that I never gave her a swimming pool like those...

Feed room could use labeling unless it's flexible, which allows for disorganization. Neatness never lasts very long.

So many great amazing people at HPHS but Kimberly has always been a delight to watch and listen to. I've known she was married and had wondered if her husband knew how lucky he was. If it's true what everyone is guessing, what a wonderful surprise as John is another of my favorites with his sense of humor and skill/talents that he puts to use for HPHS. By the way, that rooster is pretty outstanding looking !!!! Bless you for taking in those poor puppies and their moms.
