Unfortunately the people spreading rumors and working to exclude rescues are the ones directly profiting from the mistreatment, inhumane conditions and slaughter of these horses, ponies and donkeys. They are protecting their bottom line and preventing legislation that would hold them and their friends accountable for inhumane treatment and illegal activities.

I can't believe residents there are so shallow, especially horse people. I understand not wanting to expose your horse to a disease, but transferring them from one trailer to another in a parking area gets their panties in a bunch? One might assume they'd be supportive of a horse rescue, but if all horse people actually loved their horses we wouldn't need rescues and there's clearly a huge need for you all there. Our society is getting so narcissistic and nasty. Absolutely heartbroken over the cremello mare and foal. I cried with Dr. Lydia. That was a rough one. That donkey is so adorable! Happy to see Seaweed find a home and what a happy ending for little Boone. I'll never understand how anyone can just dump an animal. There's just no excuse.

I'm so grateful y'all are there to help these horses. It's heartbreaking how some humans treat animals. Watching them suffering, I'm just gutted. Thank you all for being so kind to these beautiful souls.

Dr. Lydia and Cory are so funny! "I´m just trying to pull my pants up..." That´s important, too!" Troy is such a sweetheart with the animals, you can see, how he feels with them! Great job , all of the stuff! So nice to see a lot of them staying for long and new people seems to fit in greatly!

Tawnee, you are growing in leaps and bounds (so proud of you!) Your management plan is awesome! Delegating power at this stage is a must and it's the only way to grow: Timely, and well orchestrated. You should also draw more input during your meetings together, as well. You have prospered despite assaults and roadblocks. You are an overcomer in the Lord, and your destiny is increase and victory. You go, girl, and He'll do what you cannot.🙂

If they are all so worried that Horse Plus is getting horses sick at the fairgrounds. They should be even worried about the auction, because there are a lot more horses... Doesn't really make sense at all. Mind boggling really...

Perhaps what HSH should try, is a TV ad/campaign in your local area, just a short clip telling about what you do and what your fighting with the Auction... to educate everyone vs all the bull shit the auction is propiganding.

Something else I noticed is that they are so concerned about Equine Infectious Anaemia (what the Coggins is for) coming from the animals rescued, but can't seem to give the correct Coggins results yo the right animals. I have seen it over and over (in previous episodes) that the supposed Coggins for that animal doesn't match. And yet here they are chucking a fit. The true reason of course is that they lose out on the money they would get for selling the animal on their property and so get peeved off for that. You can see that to some greed is more important then animal welfare

Here in the UK its against the law for anyone but a licensed vet to cut live tissue on any animal. Even hoof trimmers cant remove live tissue. This is to make sure appropriate pain control is in place and to prevent things like what happened to that poor horse from happening.

Of course I watched this, and the team that you have for intake is just absolutely wonderful! And I just want to say that, even though I cannot remember his name - the new trainer - The love that he shows the horses that need the last act of kindness can almost be felt through your videos! Am eager to hear how the mare with the tracheotomy is doing. At 19, my little red Arabian/Welsh mare was diagnosed with a softball size polyp in her sinus cavity. A temporary tracheal clamp was left on her for 12 days after the polyp was removed causing her trachea to try to heal around it. This resulted in her trachea collapsing. My spicy girl then got a permanent tracheotomy that lasted her til she'd had enough of this lifetime at 32. i kept the area clipped and clean and Sham never had a problem with it. i'll never forget how she had to learn to winney all over with it by arching her neck and tightening those muscles. Before she mastered that, all she could do was squeak, bless her! And she loved sucking on peppermints or root beer barrels and breathing the scent out her neck, making me laugh! i hope that mare gets to have as good and long of a life as Shammi had. And i hope that like Sham, she can be somebody's best friend soon. Thanks for all you do! 🩵☘️🥀
