👥🎙 ABOUT THE PODCAST
They say age is just a number and yet growing older for this generation of millennials feels particularly daunting. For some reasons, navigating especially our 20s to 30s comes with expectations that we should have it all figured out, to the at times, scary realisation that we don't!
In this podcast, Jemma meets guests from different backgrounds, professional and personal experiences in the quest of learning something new and perhaps seek to revalidate that no person's journey is the same. By sharing those conversations, she hopes to impart one or two things.

I couldn’t sleep for two nights , couldn’t concentrate on my daily activities, my stomach hurts like I have eaten something very acidic, I can’t explain my feelings, I am just thankful to god been a sikh Indian to born a blessed family , specially my husband who was begging to God for a baby girl one I was pregnant . I’m totally shocked with those people who involved to hurt this beautiful soul . I have never pray to god to do something bad to people , but honestly after hearing this I’m praying with my every single breath to see those people punished 🙏

I wonder if she did something considered "bad" in their culture - like look at a boy or something such as this - before the gang rape happened? Maybe it was her dad's sick way of saying "I'll teach you to keep your eyes to the ground".

I notice from watching several of Nina’s testimonies on YT, she mentions her parents didn’t know any better, she kind of makes a sort of excuse for them. These disgusting humans tortured her in every way possible, this is not religion it’s a sickness. The fact they are still out there, never prosecuted for their crimes including the wilful murder of her sister is beyond belief. Ninas beautiful soul shines. They must hate that. They are the shame they tried to push on her.

A lot worst must have happened to other girls/ women that were not reported because maybe out of fear or maybe have been killed. God for this lady she has the courage to speak out about her horrendous life journey from a young age. She must also have good people who supported her where she is now and who valued &trusted her.She is an inspiration to a lot of people especially to oppressed women out there anywhere. The world has to know that there is this inhumane practice in other cultures in which male family members themselves perform this barbaric culture of treating their women and even young girls.

Wow this was a great episode of strong and independent women that’s able to find the strength in themselves and not fall into “molds” of culture. I have a university diploma and I have traveled around the whole globe all alone and I did it a second time, because I loved it!! I am also a paragliding pilot and I have two beautiful daughters that I would do ANYTHING for!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Maybe I have some things to be grateful for? Unfortunately I have also experienced mental and physical abuse during my childhood and that has made me skeptical of being loved…. 😢 the last 16 years I have had severe pain in my whole body and the doctors here in Sweden 🇸🇪 can’t help me very much … I still hope that I will one day be able to get back to my normal active lifestyle- I am hoping that very much and I am still going to other doctors and clinics to be helped! I have doubted the reason for me to continue living in this painful state, it’s not humane to have this much pain, if I was a dog my owner would have put me down long ago but in Sweden there’s no doctor assisted euthanasia available 😢 for humans!!

@@twovirginiacats3753 It is culture and culture is linking with religion esp in islamic societies. Muslims don't allow non islamic culture for sure. They're very strict about their religion. Well indian muslims' ancesters were hindus hundred years ago and so their ancesters ate pork and celebrated devali festival and they practise caste. But nowaday muslim indians don't eat pork. They don't practise caste. They already gave up their old culture which was heavily linking with hinduism. I mean religion plays a major role in cultures esp in islam.

Is this how Indian cultural behave. The fathers treat their daughter badly because the fathers only want a son? And how bad is the mother to sit back & do nothing about it. !!!

People are not Doctors outside of their surgeries. Just call her by her name, she's not at work, i understand the proudness and hard work to be a doctor. But people are not their professions

Appreciate your view; it’s however not just ‘profession’ bound. Many people have Dr in their name for having completed a doctoral degree or PhD irrespective of profession. In this particular case, Dr Celeste is in fact a dentist and celebrating other people at any time of the day, doesn’t harm anyone😉 🙌🏼

Culture is linking with religion and its stronger in islamic societies Human moral is evolving all the time and so most people already abolished tons of backward culture and rituals. But sadly, some people are still sticking medieval backward craps and result is victims like Nina.
