Most the plot hinges on a covert agent and two technological geniuses/experts not seeing the flaw in their plan to spend most the movie using high-tec equipment when facing an AI enemy that they were told from the get go can infiltrate and manipulate any digital technology. Apparently the movies two technological geniuses are only geniuses when convenient for the plot.

While this franchise has seemingly gone on longer than anticipated and can seem a bit repetitive between entries, I don't care what anyone says! Every entry from MI:3 to now has been excellent! (Fallout is still my personal favorite) It has seriously been one of the most well-rounded, exciting, engaging, and entertaining movie franchises in recent memory! Cannot wait for Dead Reckoning Part 2 (or whatever it might be called now?)

@@lawrencefrost9063 I'd honestly have to agree. Literally the selling point of these movies are the action set-pieces. John Wick wipes the floor with them in terms of actual action, choreography, camera work, stunts and overall artistic/directorial vision. Coming from a place of love, the one and only thing these movies need to nail are the set pieces. What mission impossible movies have brought, and what makes them special, are the creative scenarios. Like the opera scene, rearranging the hotel rooms, the free dive and the plane jump in fallout (to name a few). This movie however... imo it was just unimaginative and boring. Also the writing was worse than usual so that didn't help lmfao. I sincerely hope the second one is better.

“You’re going to miss him” I hate to admit it, but you are probably right. I saw Edge of Tomorrow. He was pretty good in it. Probably going to be one of those we didn’t appreciate him while he was here actors. Or maybe he’s just the friend who helped us on our way.

When he eventually does retire (or gets killed juggling chainsaws while base-jumping from the ISS or something) there're going to be a lot of folks wishing he was still working and crying about how none of the current action stars match up.

I do like that they used the camera angle on Kittridge that Brian de Palmer used in the 1st Mission Impossible.

The most impossible thing about this movie is believing Hayley Atwell could put a Vaneesa Kirby mask on, and no one would notice she has now got an incredibly voluptuous body!

The Shelly Miscavige quip was a particularly savage bodyblow. Well played, Honest Trailers. Well played.

This....was a good damn movie. I do have to say this. The action was great throughout, the characters were interesting....and now I have to wait nearly 2 years for the next one. MAN Im sad.

Lol, "Gerard Slay," was fantastic, I never realized how much her costume resembled GW's Black Parade coat. 😆

Too bad this movie didn't do well at the box office. It was spectacular. And like the trailer pointed out, one day we are going to miss these movies Tom crafts.

Just saw this on Growing up in scientology, found it so funny had to come over and let you know it was great, thank you.

One of the best yet oddly not that succesful films of the year!

I'm actually shocked you didn't do a riff on this being the third movie this summer where the McGuffin was split into two halves that must be reunited...! (Transwarp key in Transformers and the clock thingy in Dial of Destiny) Great job tho!

One of the best movies i ever saw in theaters

This is 1 of my absolute favorite channel's & I actually stumbled across it back back in 18 so it's the 1st out of the short list of the bestest in the Comedy categories I live my life watching & actually saved my life more than once & in more ways than 1 so for that I say THANK YOU for this is Sheer Perfection @ it's finest. 😂😂❤❤

The big death in the movie was way too predictable but otherwise it was fantastic, it's a shame Hollywood is so stupid that it ended up not making money

Sure, coming out a week before barbie/Oppenheimer didn't help but how could the studio know that the internet would meme those movies into being the event of the summer when they picked the release date? Also, outside of like 5 movies, literally everything crashed and burned this summer. It was a bloodbath.

Wasn't on my Top 3 MI movies but hell, it was a look better than many others this year. Tom Cruise knows you have to entertain your audience.

Honestly, seeing they brought back Kittridge and knowing that it was subtitled "Dead Reckoning" I also was kinda expecting Emilio Estevez to be brought back but with a lot of scars and probably with an artificial arm or something.

Give me the chills with the line "Welcome to PlayPaintChill. You just gained honor +2 for following us ! ".

They didn't need the key. The needed The Lockpicking Lawyer.

Seen it in theaters, great movie. Great action, characters, stunts and a compelling story

Tom wasn't the one mad. Marvel was. They didn't want to spoil he wouldn't be in Infinity War and thus, he was left out of Fallout, ultimately missing both movies

And with Ilsa, Paris and Luther apparently not gonna be appear full time on the part two (for obvious reason), i hope they can write Brandt back into the story, but idk if Renner is ready for full on action sequence alongside Cruise due to his injury

I don't think story wise the writers or producers want him back. It's like having 2 James Bonds in a movie, just doesn't make sense for basically 2 Ethans. That's what the current director said during Ghost Protocol when he was brought in to finish writing that script. He was even gonna have Renner come back to kill him off.

This was pointed out in the MI Fallout Honest Trailers. Characters just disappear from this franchise. Paula Patton, Thandiwe Newton, Laurence Fishburne, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Anthony Hopkins, and Jeremy Renner. All gone.

You know you do your job well when everyone's reaction to it is to flood your inbox with "Oh, oh, do this one next! Do this one!"

it made like 560 mil and the reason i cost 270 mil is because cruise and mcq decided that they will the whole crew through the 9 months of quarantine.

Why is no one talking about the fact that 2008's Eagle Eye starring Shia LaBeouf and Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning is the same movie.

They said "Key" so many times, was half-expecting a Kingdom Hearts reference

1:35 Barbenheimer often gets blamed for this movie flopping in North America, but even Sound of Freedom consistently outperformed the latter domestically starting that same week.

I really liked MI: Dead Reckoning Part 1 but I loved everything about this Honest Trailer, except for seeing it over Fast X. I really enjoyed Fast X too. But the comparison was funny
