Just a reminder that PETA got caught stealing people's pets from their homes, even trespassing to do it, and killing them because they think death is better than captivity, including domesticated animals being beloved family pets. I've been desensitized and I feel nothing for death in movies usually, but the otter got me because obviously I love otters and animals in general! James Gunn is GREAT at balancing humor with real emotion. And with the High Evolutionary and White Dragon in Peacemaker, he makes villains that are so bad BECAUSE they could actually be real which makes it worse. James Gunn is fantastic and this is the only movie to almost make me tear up.😢

I do wonder how they're going to feed all the animals that Rocket freed. The main bad guy made a comment about how few calories the children needed. However, it didn't seem like he had altered the animals yet.

I almost cried (I'm a man, so obviously I can't actually cry) at the part Rocket Raccoon was near death and was crying over letting his friends down. Because I thought that was the most relatable thing ever done in a Marvel movie. Every dream I have is about me trying to either apologize to my loved ones since I failed them and live in daily guilt knowing they died because I didn't do enough or just trying to see them one last time. Literally every night since I was 16. Crazy to think the number of dead family members has only gone up since. This is exactly why I no longer feel I deserve family. Didn't mean to truma dump, my point is it was a great movie.
