I love castor oil. Since using it, I’ve given up the expensive latisse. I slather the castor oil all over my face, neck and hands just before going to bed. Yes, I do look like a grease stick. In morning I add just a couple of drops to my moisturizer and eye cream. Honestly, it’s a miracle product. Even the deep lines on my forehead have decreased by at least 50%. I also use it on my hair before washing. I leave it on for 6-8 hours before shampooing. I’m 65 btw

Speaking of pets, my dog gets cysts on different parts of her body. I started putting castor oil on them nightly and they all drained and went away. My vet was shocked. My old heeler had a cyst on her upper eyelid - got so big is started to affect her eye. I kid you not - I got some cold pressed, organic castor oil and put it on the lump maybe 4-5 times over the span of a few weeks. Had two vets look at it and both weren’t crazy about putting het under anesthesia bc of her age. Both said it was just a tumor type issue - not to worry on it. She had it for maybe 8 months. After the castle oil it ruptured and is almost completely gone now.

I have had intermittent eyelid dermatitis for as long as I can remember. For the last 2 years, it has been constant. I was given prescription steroid ointment, which helped somewhat but it never goes away. It makes my lids look so dry and crusty especially when wearing eyeshadow. I started using castor oil twice a day and in 3 days…GONE!! I use it on my entire face and neck at night. In the am I just use a tiny tiny amount where the dermatitis really likes to act up on my lids. I gently rub it in, give it a couple of min and it has soaked in and I can easily apply eye makeup. I am a complete convert! I am in the medical field as well as natural born skeptic. It took me about a year try castor oil but man oh man does it work!!

I add two large drops of castor oil to a little bit of cream in the morning and evening and I must honestly say - I didn’t had such soft, smooth skin on my face since my twenties- 20 years ago. My skin is extremely dry and dehydrated. First, I apply toners and essences and seal them with cream and castor oil. Without applying the oil, my skin was dry and rough to the touch about 3 hours after applying all other cosmetics. I also use it with my whole family after a shower - on wet skin, it sits on my skin while I clean the shower and after a minute I dry myself with a towel. I don't need any creams or lotions after shower anymore and again - my skin is very dry all over my body. I recommend castor oil to everyone :)

I use castor oil every night on my face, around my eyes, on my veins, and my scar! I've never had a problem with staining on my bed sheets and some nights I lay it on thick (you'll be surprised how quickly it absorbs)! I've noticed a huge improvement with my hormonal acne, my spots don't scar as much as they used to and the old pigmentation has lightened dramatically! My eyelashes and eyebrows have grown, and my hypertrophic scar is starting to break down! I've only ever applied CO topically, I use organic, cold-pressed, and hexane free. The one I purchase is in a plastic bottle but the company I purchase from have good standards of practice so I can't imagine they'll be using bad plastics especially as the plastic is recyclable! I've recently started using castor oil in my hair and soaking a cotton pad to place on my painful heammoroids overnight (after 3 nights I'm feeling relief). Just last night I placed some inside my belly button before I went to sleep. If it's your first time do go easy it definitely opens your bowels 😂

On the subject of dogs: U can also give ur dogs locally harvested honey for skin allergies and other allergies, but it needs to be locally harvested to give the most relief from allergies bc the bees will be pollinating the local flowers where u and ur pets live. It’s a fantastic anti-viral and anti-microbial as well. Our vet has us give our three dogs a tsp of honey in their breakfast every day (they’re all big dogs so I would only give small dogs 1/8-1/4 tsp per day), and we also feed them raw. They rarely if ever have to go to the vet bc their teeth and body health r amazing! Our vet also recommended we stop vaccinating after the age of three bc they have all the antibody levels they will need for life by then. Our rottie, Thor, always had reactions to vaccines, and we always had to give him an injection of Benadryl before his vaccinations so we titer tested him at age two. His titer levels came back well within range so we stopped vaccinating him then since he always had reactions. We also give coconut oil (1 tsp each for big dogs, 1/8-1/4 tsp for small dogs) every day in their dinner bc it seems to do more good internally. If applied topically, they tend to lick it off. Just thought I would pass on our personal experiences with using natural remedies for our dogs. As for myself, I use castor oil daily and swear by it! It completely got rid of my psoriasis.

@jessicaflores2616 Yw! Make sure the coconut oil is organic and cold pressed if ur going to give it to eat in her food for her skin. The honey will help her allergies tremendously as long as it's locally harvested. I get ours from a local health food store that carries a locally harvested honey. The biggest recommendation I can give to get her liver back to health is feeding her raw. Our rottie, Thor, tore his right back knee ligament when he was 9 months old. Our vet didn't want to do surgery as our first option since he was still a puppy so we crate rested him for 6 weeks (hard to do with a puppy lol), and fed him a raw diet with a joint supplement from Wholistic Pet Organics which we still give daily to all our dogs. His knee completely healed w/o surgerical intervention, and our vet tells that story to all her clients. Raw feeding definitely helps our pets SO MUCH to heal what's bothering them! We get ours from Texas Tripe, but Farmer's Dog and Stella and Chewy's r also good brands. U can also cook their food. I cook one of our dog's food bc she has acid reflux, and a cooked diet triggers her acid reflux less than fully raw. I feed her the recipe from Dr. Jones' channel, Veterinary Secrets. His cooked food recipes r great for both cats and dogs. My brother follows his recipe for his cat bc his cat has lymphoma. Hope this helps! If u have any further questions, pls feel free to ask. ❤️

I saw a comment on another channel about a women who experienced full face breakouts after applying it. She kept using it anyway (bless her for such patience), and all of it cleared up and her skin is better than ever. Her hypothesis is that because caster oil is such a strong detoxer, that it pulled impurities to the surface of her skin, but then healed the breakouts. I just started using it and noticed that every morning, I will have a new zit coming in, but the next day, the previous one is gone or nearly so. I'm starting to think there's something to her hypothesis. I've started using it all over my body to hopefully more evenly distribute any detoxing symptoms. This is all purely theory, but I think it's worth consideration and experimentation. Good luck!

Coconut oil base, castor oil, lavender (5) and tea tree (3) essential oil drops make a cream that reduces itch and minimizes damage to the skin. That said, everyone's skin is different, and always do a skin patch before using new products on your skin.

gosh I hope you see this Jentri! I have owned a pet salon for 30 years and practice holistic pet medicine for the last 20. When you make your balm include some black seed oil in the balm mix. You can do some research on what it does and how long it's been used. In my salon I'll mention it to clients who have dogs who have yeast infections and ear infections in general so bad that the vet's only option is to sew the ear shut. black seed oil in the ear canal neat has cleared the ears of some pretty nasty and chronic ear problems. I have some at my grooming station and I just rub it on the ear leather on all my dogs. Works for feet, hot spots, dry skin...etc. It's a broad spectrum so it hits everything. Added into your balm it's like a natural triple antibiotic. God Bless! ~Ali

@@JentriQuinn Oh gosh, I don't mind sharing. I was born and raised in West Seattle and I apprenticed there. Moved to the LC Valley 17 years ago. I'm right on the Snake River that divides Wa from Idaho. I'm on the Clarkston, Wa side. Lewiston, Idaho is across the river. Both places are considered one small town to the Locals so it's just the LC Valley to us. My salon is Central Bark Pet Salon. My husband and I make all of our products that we use on the dogs at our home. All animals are bathed in a handmade organic castile shampoo and an aloe vera based face shampoo. We started making all of the products because at some point my skin had a massive reaction to grooming shampoo.. As in....my dermatologist told me I'd literally needed to retire to get my skin to heal. We found a way around that by making all of our products ourselves. We don't advertise the organic thing but to my knowledge (and I've looked high and low) we are the only pet salon in the United States that produce our own products in house. I absolutely LOVE what I do and added bonus is that I have complete control over what I put on my kids ....a'hem...dogs. I do have dogs that I tailor products specifically for their needs...anything from colloidal oatmeal and chamomile to nascent oxygen. Skin is the largest organ and I'll tell you what....it's AMAZING how long dogs live when you focus on just that part of the body. Sometimes it's not what is in the product....but what is NOT. I personally feel, would it be better, to start with anyway. Is to mix with a carrier oil, such as jojoba, grapeseed, or maybe apricot. I use mostly retinol based products, so would guess, if i go that route, I'd need to purchase a natural night cream. I of course WANT to use in my hair. Hi Jas, thank you for joining us here and for subscribing to my channel! I’m sorry to hear about your hair loss. I agree, castor oil is probably the easiest and most afford thing to try first. You can use a carrier oil with it if you find that helpful. Coconut oil may help with the glide-ability on your scalp but jojoba is best when using it on your face. And if you can get a hold of Rosemary oil, combining a few drops with your castor oil can also be effective. As with most things, you have to do them consistently for you to see results so I recommend doing this at least a few times a week. You may also want to talk to your healthcare professional about vitamin supplements or changes in lifestyle / hormones that can also impact hair loss. I wish you the very best of luck on your journey. Please keep me updated on your results. ❤

@@bf9436 Hi, great question. In my opinion It’s a trusted brand that’s been around for a very long time and yes it will take off eye makeup (I use it as my 2nd eyelid cleanse). I’ve used it for years and I have sensitive eyes. As a beauty creator that works with chemists, I understand the comfort of understanding the names of ingredients you read, (I personally like that too!) but that sadly won’t make ingredients safer. I have clients that are allergic to ‘natural’ ingredients like lavender. I’m more concerned as to the health of my eyes if I don’t use a proper eyelid/ eye area cleanser. 😊 As with anything new you’re using, I recommend doing a patch test first. I hope this is helpful. ♥️

Three foot long flannel folded pour generous amount of castor oil apply directly to ailing organ area, layer plastic over flannel then place heating pad or hot water bottle. It said on the listing that it was hexane free and cold pressed but I was having burning sensation if any of it got in my eye and now have developed severe dry eyes where I didn’t have before. My eyelashes did get longer though but not worth it for the burning. Could it be that the formula I bought is not actually organic and clean? I can’t find anywhere else where someone experienced similar effect so might just be me 😕

But if you’re experiencing adverse reactions I’d recommend discontinuing it and talking to your health care provider to find an alternative to help you because one product/ingredient isn’t always right for everyone. ❤ FYI - if you’re wanting something for lashes specifically, you may also look at formulas with peptides, instead.

I'm just starting to use Castor Oil after seeing the videos on Utube. Here's my problem, all these videos are young girls, by young I mean 30-50. I am 77 years old and have wrinkles but other than that I have a decent figure, thick hair I am complimented on all the time, and no visible veins in my legs. I have wrinkles because I spent too much time in the sun and sun beds. Can a woman around my age do a video on the benefits of using castor oil and proof of reducing wrinkles? I mean a woman who just started using it a year or so ago, 40 years of use won't help me as I don't think I'll be around that long!! How long does it take results to start showing? I never had black circles under my eyes but at 70 I started to age and the worst part, even worse than wrinkles are black circles. To me that ages you much more than wrinkles. Thank you for considering my request!

  • @JentriQuinn

    @JentriQuinn

Hi Nancy, thanks for your thoughts/questions. I’m in my late 40’s so I can only speak to my experience but I don’t think it matters what age you are to receive the benefits of castor oil if you’re being reasonable as to what it can and can’t do. The problem is most people will not likely not do it consecutively for as long as I have to actually show you results unless they’re desperate (like me!). Having said that, I don’t use it for anti-aging purposes, either. If you’re mostly concerned about dark circles, I would try something with caffeine because it helps constrict the blood vessels. You may have better luck! In addition, using a really solid moisturizer will do you just as well on your face as using castor oil because the more hydrated your skin is the brighter it is and less likely you’ll be to see wrinkles, exacerbated by dryness. 😊 And it shouldn’t take too long to see results from castor oil with dryness and caffeine for dark circles, especially if they’re vascular-related. In addition, there aren’t many things proven more effective than Retinol to help with wrinkles. But if you want a natural remedy, incorporate facial massage. I have lots of videos on this. By doing it every day, it changes the way the skin lays over the muscle for a smoother appearance. I hope this is helpful ❤

Castor Oil does have a lot of benefits, however when using it to shrink fibroids it might be too effective. I used it for a few weeks as a pack at night it did seem to help but ultimately I ended up having a full hysterectomy with removal of 23 fibroids from walnut to softball size. My surgery should have taken about an hour but ended being almost 5 hours due to the toughness of the fibroids, caused by the shrinking from the Castor Oil. Use it wisely, and if you end up having fibroid surgery, advise your surgeon that you have been using Castor Oil.

I have lost a lot of hair and my hair is SUPER dry. How do you recommend that i apply to hair? And do i only put it on my scalp? How often? Thanks!!!!

  • @JentriQuinn

Hi Jules, great question. It depends on if you’re wanting to nourish your scalp, dry ends/hair or both. 😊 Applying it on your scalp can help nourish your hair follicles which can help prevent breakage for fuller looking hair. I think a squirt bottle is the easiest applicator to use for your hair. I recommend dividing your hair into at least 3-4 parts when applying it on the scalp, and using a little bit on the lower half of your hair or ends when using it as a conditioning agent. How often really depends on your goals, but once a week is likely a healthy practice since castor oil is so thick. I hope this helps! 🤩

@@julesgilman4918 my pleasure! If you apply it on your scalp you can work it through the roots of your hair and brush it out toward the ends. After 20 minutes, shampoo it out. You can wet your hair beforehand and/or mix it with other carrier oils, like coconut oil, if you find that helpful. 😊

I just started using this on my eyes , been not even a complete week yet , I have chronic dry eye , I am on a treatment ,that is extremely slow , I have heard amazing things bout this oil, but I have been dealing with this condition for 3 months now and I am feeling emotionally and physically tired of the symptoms , my social life has completely stopped , I can only go out for a certain amount of time and I can not wear any make up . I am wondering if I will ever be able to wear makeup again and resume a normal lifestyle . I have my sisters wedding coming up in the summer and I am worried that I wont be able to attend and be apart of it cuz of my eyes. I have never Ever had any issues with my eyes , I do not wear contacts either. This has really taken a tole on my life !

Hi. I’m so sorry to hear this. I know how chronic dry eyes can be challenging. Have you tried using a heated eyelid mask? Because the heat improves blood flow & circulation.

@@JentriQuinn - any type of masks makes my condition worse - they end up getting more swollen , I went for a facial this week and I put on an eye mask , and within the hour in a half , they were inflamed :( . I have ordered an eye mask that has castor oil in it , I will try to avoid putting the band on , maybe that is what is causing the swelling .

Add healthy oils and fat to your diet. When I was diagnosed with dry eye, the doctor wanted to schedule me to have my tear duct removed! I said, no thank you, and started researching. I found out that I needed more oil/ fat. So, I stayed eating salmon three times a week. That was 5 years ago. My dry eyes are so much better now. One eye still tears occasionally but they are no longer super sensitive and itchy and don't get horrible at nighttime. Castor oil does help with dry eye slather or over your eyelids before bed and rub it in, keeping your eyes closed. A tiny bit will seep in at the lash line, but that's a good thing. Do that for three consecutive nights and see if you don't improve considerably!
