In my country in eastern Europe we use castor oil as a medicine for cough. We put layer of oil on the chest and back. Then we put cabbage leafs and then wrap with a food film or a towel. Next morning we wake up healthy

Jury is still out on any benefits to the face for almost 60 skin, but I do have two uses that have surprised me. One is putting a light layer on my eyelids makes my eyes far less dry in the morning when I wake up. The other is using it on a sebaceous cyst I’ve had in the middle of my chest about the size of a large pea. It was large enough that I could see the bump when wearing a lower v neck top. Derm said not harmful and the only way to treat is with surgery to remove the surrounding sac and scarring on the chest is worse than other areas. I have had this thing for going on 15 years. Saw a video on castor oil being able to shrink cysts and figured it was worth a try. 2 days after Christmas I began putting a mini castor oil pack on it on once a day. Not even a month later I can no longer see it. I can still feel the remnants of it when I push on that spot but I’m hoping another month will dissolve it completely. I had very low hopes it would work but it definitely surprised me.

I literally just took off a mole with castor oil. Took about 2 months of consistency. Small mole that I was worried about shaving over. It has also significantly lightened the sunspots on my face. Not sure it will remove them but they are a lot lighter. Whatever you use castor oil for it takes consistency and don’t expect immediate results.

Funny story with castor oil. I’ve used it for years with putting it in a empty mascara tube that I bought on Amazon and brushing it on my lashes at night. It’s worked a miracle for my lashes…. I’ve had two skin cancer surgeries on my face the first one on my temple. I had done about six years ago, and after the surgery healed and the scar remained, I used castor oil on it, and it faded slightly. Recently I had MOHS surgery to remove skin cancer on the tip of my nose. 2 slices were required and I needed plastic surgery to fix the serious hole there.. skin from the bridge of my nose was removed and transferred.. it was a big deal. Well, after recovery all is good, so I started adding castor oil to the scar which was especially bad under the tip of my nose near the nostril. Well (you can see this coming, right?) I now have a lovely dusting of hair all over the tip and under my nose. It looks ridiculous..and makes me laugh. I stopped the oil! 😅 Yes it grows hair…

Great tips, as usual! I am an RN planning to take laser cert courses this summer and as I get closer to 50, I am way more invested in anti-aging as I see changes coming on way too soon for my liking haha.. anyhoo, I started using caster oil on some areas of my brows that I’ve noticed sparseness, and in the short duration, I have seen some pretty shocking results. A little filling in, after only a few weeks of sporadic use, and I’m needing to pluck when that hasn’t been a problem in years. Great use and so economical.

I find that thinning out the castor oil with jojoba oil and all vera gel (shake vigorously before use) helps quite dramatically with rinsing it out. It doesn't seem to weaken the positive impact (cuticles and nail bed health still improved, cracked heels gone, crepey eyelids smoother, etc.)

I use castor oil all over & daily. I’m doing a castor oil pack over a fatty tumor above my left knee that roughly measured 1&3/4”s long by 1/4” thick. It’s been 4 months of doing it nightly & it’s almost gone. Didn’t need to have it surgically removed. My hair has much less hair fall and has gotten fuller & shinier. I apply the oil fully all over my hair (sleep with it covered) twice a week. I use it on my lips & love it. Great product for me! I pray it stays inexpensive!!

I moved on to oil cleansers and oil based balms, probably because we have to buy PRODUCTS or die, right? It’s so interesting how trends are cyclical - I remember when Caster oil was being touted everywhere for facial massage/first cleaning to eliminate acne, scars, etc. in the early 2000’s. it was everywhere until people reported having major reactions including fungal reactions, clogged pores, etc. I appreciate your reminder to have reasonable expectations - I suspect much of what people are seeing in terms of miracle results are confirmation bias.

Castor oil is amazing for skin. I mixt it with 100 times washed ghee ( shata dhauta ghrita ) in proportion of 70% ghee and 30% castor oil plus 10-15 drops of frankincense essential oil and use to spread all over my body. Is amazing how smooth and hydrated your skin becomes. And for my surprise the spider veins on my legs started to fade away. I don’t know if they will disappear entirely but I will see. The inconvenient is that not having any preservatives in you should keep it in the fridge but melts quickly on the skin.

100 times washed ghee is easy to make. Take a certain amount of ghee, warm it up to melt and with a hand mixer stir after adding every time purified water and discard it after every 1 minute of mixing. To be honest I never mixt and discard the water 100 times. The most I mixed was 25 times. First additions of water will mix with the melted ghee and there will not be left water in the ghee to be thrown away. But after 2-3 times the ghee will start to curdle and water will separate. After that you can deposit the washed ghee in the fridge . You don’t need to prepare the whole quantity at once. Usually I prepare 100 grams that meaning is 70 g washed ghee plus 30 g castor oil and essential oil.. Try it. You will not regret.@@luv2travel2000

You can actually use castor oil drops in the eyes. It will get rid of soft cataracts, if they’re newer. I dissolved the ones in my dogs eye. Took about 6 months. I use it for severe dry eye and works better than anything else made for eyes on the market! It’s safe. My medicine cabinet will never be without. Sometimes, natural, been around forever products, really are a better choice!

@Faith Certain brands cause the eyes to burn, so you have to be very cautious about that. Not every brand of Castor Oil I would use for the eyes. But if you have USDA organic, hexane free, coldpressed, and in dark glass...that would be a good start. I do use it in my eyes (and in a separate glass dropper bottle for each family member) but I am also very careful to use a sterile technique. Glad it is helping you! All the best. ❤

I don't use castor oil on my eyebrows but I have been using Rosemary oil on my brows and I can attest that this DOES work. I have dry acne prone skin and recently damaged my skin barrier. Everything hurt my face so bad and I kept trying different soothing hydrating ingredients and nothing worked and because I have acne prone skin I started getting the abnormal breakouts from using such thick creams. At the point I thought what could hurt and slapped castor oil all over my face after my moisturizer. It soothed my skin. I woke up next morning and my redness finally went away. I used it 3 nights in a row and it worked better than anything I tried. I now use it anytime my skin feels irritated and it never breaks me out.

Started using it on my sparse greying eyebrows then started to do my eyelashes and the results have been fantastic for darkening/thickening my eyebrows🥳 Eyelashes have grown and darkened a bit too and they are so soft🙌🏻 However, I am totally stunned that it has practically cleared my DRY EYE🥳🥳 My eyes started constantly running 7yrs ago with PeriMenopause but this oil has basically stopped it🤷🏼‍♀️ I also have an Astigmatism with floaters and this has improved so much that I honestly cannot believe it🤷🏼‍♀️ Also helps massively with scarring and cuts! Just love Castor Oil tbh🙌🏻🤣 Anyways thank you for another fabby vid💞💞 xx

I mix about 1/2 t aloe vera gel with about 1/4 t castor oil in the palm of my hand, add a few drops of salycilic acid, one drop each of rosemary and lavendar essential oils and massage it well into my scalp - this amount does half of my head, so I repeat for the other half. I do it a couple of hours before washing my hair. I started it mostly to combat itchiness but also to help stimulate growth. I never have a problem with getting it to wash out or leaving a greasy feeling, but it has really helped the itchy scalp. I do have quite a lot of hair, so it is most likely helping there as well. At 67 years old, thinning hair can become a problem, so I want to keep ahead of that however possible!

I used to have lashes falling now and then, I started using it (almost) regularly - I try to use nightly but there were nights I was too lazy - and ever since I've been using it my lashes never fall at all. BUT nope, it does not grow my lashes longer or thicker. Also recently I saw a video claiming it gets rid of dark undereyes and that doesn't happen to me. I was never using it with the intention of lightening my undereyes but with applying it on the lashes it always gets onto my undereyes every night and nope, my undereyes are still dark after more than a year of using castor oil.

My issue is we know how oils work and it sits on the skin or on the hair it doesn’t actually penetrate it sits on the top dead layers of skin and castor oil is so thick and it make the hair look thicker or as if it grew but I’m not convinced because of how oils work in the first place. As for hair growth people can’t just say it grew their hair back there are many many forms of hair loss so what type of hair loss is this helping? Is this going to help hair loss that is contributed to wearing your hair up in a very tight bun? I’ll never be convinced.

I live most cold pressed organic oils and use them in many herbal infused mixtures, hair and body/face care. I make a hair growth oil with herbs and castor oil in the mixture with Neem oil, argan oil, etc. I will note that castor oil is very thick so any product you use containing castor oil probably should t be kept on for more than 24 hours. It can clog pores so be careful on scalp. Other than that it’s a wonderful very long time used oil. Love it in anything.

I also dab it onto some dark spots on my face and around my body. So far, I can say that my super dry and irritated eyes are NOT dry and irritated all day long. My eyes are very sensitive and I’ve had no issues with the castor oil. Also, my lashes are looking healthier. And no styes!!! But I’ve also added an eye warmer massager to the mix to help keep styes away. I’m happy with the results for now and will continue using it. Let’s see what happens after a few more months. Can’t expect miracles overnight.

I had been seeing so much on the 'net re castor oil (not a new ingredient for skin care considering Cleopatra purportedly used it!) I decided to try it for 2 ganglion - one is in the middle of my palm and the other is on the bottom of my feet in the arch). The last one I had was on my wrist and the doctor removed it with a long needle that didn't put a smile on my face. I've been putting it on a cotton pad taped to the area overnight and with a bit also applying some to a bump that appeared a while ago on my lip. Within 2 weeks both the bump on my lip and the ganglion have softened and shrunk! I think it's not as fast as a trip to the doc but certainly not as traumatizing. I'll keep it up for at least 3 months and my point is that if it can do THAT, what else can this amazing stuff do?! I think everyone needs to try it with something that's bothering them (a mole, discolouration, etc) and see what happens! Thank you Penny for another great video. I've tried the Avene for lips and I found actually the Uriage one much better - it has Cicalfate also but goes on much nicer and is slightly less expensive.
