Nice review, nice bike, nice countryside, nice weather! (Certainly beats drizzly Britain at the moment 🌧) I see that British Superbikes are running a new race category this year - the "Sportbike" class. The Hornet is listed as eligible although, unsurprisingly for a naked bike, no-one is running them against the RS660s and R7s that make up the bulk of the grid. It does suggest though that perhaps Honda is planning a fully-faired version for 2025...

You could ride anything, and have fun !!!
