Thank you for sharing a little bit of your wonderful life with us the great flood really did a lot of damage I like that you see the silver lining in the devastation in that it cleared out all the debris from the creek. I noticed you limited the commercial content thank you is there a way to make a contribution to your channel I have never felt a worthy cause on KZread to contribute to so the process might have to be spelled out for me. Love you guys so happy to see your good.

I just stumbled on your videos and man!! this instantly brought back memories of my younger life in the 60's and 70's. Same woods, same fire and cooking and same cold dips in the streams. Thanks for the memories!!! Even the washed out driveway, The cabin I used to go to in upstate Pa on almost a weekly basis had a driveway that went through a wash and it looked just like that after bad storms. Good memories, all of them.

since your were in St.Augustine Florida if it was after 1989 that is when I move to Florida our path might of cross specially if you were around construction I am easy to recognize I used to hang drywall by myself they use to call me either Frenchy or the crasy Canadian that hangs drywall by himself as far as relationship i know we are not i am originally from province of Quebec Canada have a wonderful day guys and enjoy life as you best

I was in the construction industry the entire time I was in Saint Augustine. I moved there in 1995 and moved away in 2008. I think I may have run into you before. In the late 90s i framed a few Habitat for Humanity houses down in the Tip of Lincolnville by Saint Augustine marine it was all volunteer work. I think you may have hung the drywall in those houses. I used to do a lot of work for Carolyn Mathis and PJ McDonald. I am not sure if you remember those particular habitat for humanity houses. But I definitely remember the crazy Canadian drywall hanger that was a pretty big guy and always wore suspenders I’m pretty sure. Anyways let us know if you remember any of that thanks again

Yes the racks bring us a lot of value. We found that you could easily put the chainsaw and the axe inside of the racks but then every time you needed them they were buried underneath something else so they were difficult to get out and even more difficult to put back in. So I grabbed up some 1” + 1/8 flat and welded up a rack for the axe and then grabbed up a scrap piece of 2 x 6 and Put it in the vase and sunk my chainsaw into it and then lashed it on with some nylon lashing It took probably three minutes. But is incredibly useful. We also have a chainsaw scabbard lashed on to the front of our tractors brush guard

Those four wheelers are everywhere in rural Australia. I'm used to seeing the dog travel on the rack and only get off when it's time to round up the sheep. Your dog just keeps soldiering on with his tongue hanging out!

Admire your ability to look at the bright side! Not all can do this. Maybe ponder the benefits of the occasional, regular floods, and put things in place to direct the water, or put it to work(an overshot wheel for electricity?)

Isn't anything quite like a fire started with split up Red Cedar in the evening at a remote campsite along a creek or river. Not many places left you can actually get that particular Ozarks wilderness smell. I don't know how you do all that walking, working, cutting etc in those crocks though. I would have busted my ankle a million times over without good side support on my feet and lower shins.

Mother nature has a way to take care of her self....she doesn't need man's help... floods are part of nature along with wind ...wind keeps.the dead wood from acumulating and floods clear the dead wood out of our creeks.
