You'll know it was a good day sailing when your muscles are sore, your hands are raw and your knees bleeding! ♥

I'm surprised the jellyfish didn't cause you any problem while cleaning the hull. Thanks for sharing the short trip and bit of maintenance. That cargo ship was really moving!

Until your previous video I thought that something bad happened and you have had to leave the homestead permanently. (I don't know why I thought that) I'm glad this is just a little break and everything is alright. Pretty good to see how versatile are you, what an interesting (and more or less free) life you live. It is always fun to watch your videos. Thanks for the good content! Take care

With the thunder I was always told it is a good idea to keep an anchor chain from the base of the mast and overboard so lightning have an easier electrical path than through the bottom of the hull.

reading some of the comments make me laugh and as usual you do take care of most of the things that needs to be done except if it will hold a little longer lol even when you were waiting for the wind to pick up you did a few things that needed to be taking care of but the main part is you definitely made look peaceful and enjoyable have a great day

Ok enough of this relaxation. Just kidding, enjoy your vacation time. I would like to ask a question though. I have a large clock that I want to ship. I built a standard 3/8 plywood box 4 feet long. I have a pendulum with a 20" long rod, (3" round disc) and a large weight 5"x5"x3". I would like to incorporate the "holders" of these items into my large box.. Any ideas you could share.... when you get back to work of course!! Thanks D...

That’s the thing that always baffled me about sailing; how you get somewhere if the wind is directly from where you want to go.

By tacking... Think of it like hiking, instead of hiking straight up a steep hill you zig zag back and forth working your way up in incriminates

-tacking yes, and the power to go towards the wind (at angles) is possible because of the curvature of the sails, draws the boat, like the curvature of an airplane wing draws it upwards.
