When our days are done, the only thing that matters, endures and has meaning is who we leave behind and how well we prepared them. Looks like you’ve done a great job.
Very nice. My wife and I walked a similar path. We sold our Catalina 34 and bought 20 acres with a log home. Raised sheep and chickens (still have chickens, a dog and six cats). No regrets of renting and sailing through a series of sailboats over 25 years when we were young, footloose and "flexible". Now I'm 64 (43 years married) and we're enjoying a cozy fireplace in our log home (heat & domestic water can be wood or fuel oil). Lots of great memories (Chesapeake Bay/Cambridge especially). And still making them.
Thank you again for sharing. Enjoy life while you can, you never know when your time will be up. I am 60 and I enjoy things that don't cost much money at all. I worked a lot when I was younger in steel bridges and if I could go back I would have lived a much simpler life.
Spend ten years in Hawaii where it’s always springtime, never drops below 75, always green puffy little clouds and rainbows are so maddening you appreciate the seasons and even the cold. ❄️☃️😍
As long as you and those you care about have the ability and desire to continue, no reason to stop adventuring.
Wow you are making such wonderful memories on that boat! Congratulations
Love that beard! Mine never grows long. Have to say that I can really appreciate what you do and these video's that you share with all of us! Thank you ! Keep Carving that Path!
Family can be the toughest thing and the best thing all at once. Glad to see you home and busy.
Hey Old Friend! Sooooo glad I found ya! Think about ya from time to time and visualized you being in the Caribbean somewhere teaching sailing. It is so funny, because I was thinking about carving some spoons or a bowl and was just lookin on KZread. Opened up a video and said to my self he sure looks like someone I knew a few years back. Ha! So Good to see ya! Still live in the same house and still got same number. Would love to chat. Finally bought a Norwood 29. Currently boat less. Anyway. So glad to see you still kicking! Great videos man!! Love to visit and catch up sometime! God's Blessings to you and yours. Jim

What a fun and great video to watch and listen to. I got a Ford 8N tractor (1952) and love it. I does need a brake job and I put it off all the time. I know how to do drum brake installationns from my older cars, so shouldn't be too much trouble. THUMBS UP THUMBS UP THUMBS UP!!!
Hey guys. Thank you for taking us back in time. Hope to see you on the water soon with new adventures.

Makes to cold even colder when you think of those nice warm days lol. Warmer days aren’t far away my friends. It’s good to dream as well so good luck with your thoughts of the hike.
At -24C this morning.....this was a great viewing. Thanks for posting. ❤️ from Eastern Canada.
Always look forward to your videos, I get concerned when it's been awhile, glad all's well. Your videos are the best on utube-You gize rock! BTW, here on West Coast USA it's been spring nearly all "winter".
Hello brother, I love your simple life. You are a good person. I wish you happiness with all my heart
Great music. Spring is coming, somewhat slowly but the sun was up not much after me this morning, so that is a good sign. Thanks for sharing.
I live just north of the trail on the Georgia, North Carolina line. I've bumed around on several streaches of the trail in my younger days. Good Times!
Wonderful! Thanks for sharing and looking forward to your future adventures... see you out there friends.
Thank you for this moment of peace. French Kiss.
Thanks for the video. We have been really cold up here in Manitoba too. -34 C yesterday. I’m still using the tools I got from you to carve bowls. Still learning too. I love the tools I got from you and the advice! Have fun with your walk in the woods!
Thank you for the very fun and loving video. Stay warm.
Great stuff, awesome content, good feel. I’m in Wyoming, similar homestead, mine off grid, forge also outdoors, love to roll those first billowing clouds of smoke off that green coal firing it up. More power to you and much love
Hold those girls close and they will never be far away. Great video 👍😊
Thanks for sharing your thoughts
Hey there friends, came across your channel a few backs back - really been enjoying and appreciating the wisdom, insight (and the sailing footage!!). God bless and keep well - if you are ever in the Long Island area, feel free to take my Capri 18 for a whirl and a journey
The AT thru hike has been a dream of mine for a long time as well. And I keep trying to remind myself that time doesn't wait on nobody.
What a beautifull film.
enjoyed your video as always, balm for the soul.
Thank you for sharing this incredible beautiful life.. ☯️
Your imagery is spectacular. Start your film making business today. If you can could list the music you use . It’s always wonderful and added to my collection.

Just bought a P18 will be named sv (Walden) and your video came up. She’ll be sailed on Lake Erie. “All good things are wild and free” HDT Looks like you figured out how to break chains of the modern world Well done!
This was just like a music video, nice. It's been cold up here in ME to.........
I get it. I spent half my life on the ocean out west. We are enjoying the snow as a well on Beaver lake. Take care.
That was great man! Hey do you ever come to Tulsa/Oklahoma for shows? If not when is the next show you are setting up at? Probably spring but I’d like to come see ya. Thanks!
Oh yes I used to live on the ocean and work on the ocean I do miss it but as you can see from my little picture I'm a little too old to try to do that anymore I can't hardly get around and that's pretty sad for me because and I'll actually I walked across the United States in my younger years with a 75 lb pack yes I was in great shape I don't know if that had anything to do with my downfall because I always carried a heavy pack. But you guys look like you have the excellent place where you are and believe me I know how it is when you have to leave your babies. I got such a lump in my throat watching and writing because when you leave them you never know if you're going to get to see them again that is the hardest part for me. Okay off of this subject y'all looked like you had a wonderful time and you are absolutely right you must have a dream and I still have my dreams I fulfilled almost all of my bucket list for lack of another word but it's okay if I don't completely feel it because well I'm happy. Thanks for the video y'all. Stay vigilant
As a northern hillbilly I slightly disagree with the weather assessment lol. Down right pleasant compared to 15 and 30 inches which is what I have now. Besides, I'm happy to have a day when I can be outside. Being indoors drives me nuts. Beautiful video 👍
Beautiful 🙏
I Love You Guys
as I was digging out of 12+ inches of snow today i was thinking summer can't come fast enough

Two questions. What song is the duet? And is that beanie home made or from a crafter? Love the videos.

Love your videos, keep up the great work. I’m a new carver and learning a lot from you. Thank you. Do you sell your spoons? If so where? Also what hatchet do you recommend to get for spoon carving? Thanks again, avid fan , Bob

I just found your channel and I love the content. I'm curious about your ages. That beard makes me think you are older, but I'm probably wrong. You seem to have too much knowledge for a "young" person.
I can't figure out why they changed there name from Mandolin Orange.
finally the beard makes sense, but the comfort blanket might be gone come the spring ???
