This part will finally see some real progress and I will find out what it is causing that is causing the problems with the both the carbs and the iginition.
This video was shot over a 3-month period with lots of trails and errors. So making the video was just as hard as fixing the problems with the Honda CX500 not starting or running properly.

The grease in the switches should be there to stop corosion i think. I see it on conectors aswell. Awesome that you share these things. Keep it up.

Yeah, i thought so too. Just kinda cleaned so i could have a good look at it. There was a lot more in there then you saw in the video. Glad you enjoy the video's. Plenty more to come. But this carb/ingnition video series has been a pain in the shed aswell as to edit the hours and hours of footage. Soon episode 5 and then the fun starts again!
I use a little tooth paste on a Q-tip (cotton swab) to spin in the needle valve seat to shine it up. Just be sure to clean any of the tooth paste out that may be hiding in there. I didn't notice if you'd checked for 12V at the coils. Could it be that there's corrosion in the ignition switch causing the sporadic no spark problem?? I've had 45 year old ignition switches fail in the past.

The switch was giving me problems later on, but in the end the main problem i had here were bad connecters near the sparkunits. This video is well over a year old and the bike, in the end, is running perfectly. So bad connecters were the cause of all the problems. The carbs was oke but the iginition was only firing 1 side every now and then. After fixing the connecter everything was fine. Thanks for commenting and the advice’

Als ik jou was had ik 'm naar een goede monteur gebracht om de fout op te sporen en dan zelf thuis het opgespoorde probleem opgelost.

Gelukkig was dat uiteindelijk niet nodig en heb ik het zelf uitgevogelt, er veel van geleerd en weet ik voor een volgende keer wat het kan zijn. En ik heb mezelf een hoop geld bespaart 😉. Bedankt voor het kijken.

@@DutchedShedBuilds Ik dacht dat je uiteindelijk de brui eraan gegeven had. Ik doelde eigenlijk op het elektrische probleem, had al eerder de afleveringen gezien. Petje af voor je vasthoudendheid trouwens.
Hondas do not fail try changing the rectifier those are the only things that seem to fail I will now look at the whole vid as I am just a few minutes in and had to make a comment because thats what I am like
