Hey Frank love your very informative videos. I want to get an AT XRV 750. I’m torn between the RD04 and RD07. I prefer the looks of the RD04 but is there anything I should consider in terms of the mechanics / reliability/ availability of parts between the two different models? Thanks!

Hi,thanks for the comments,the RD03,04 and 07 are all good bikes,i do love the RD03 650 more,as the roots started there.The worst thing that happens to these bikes is when they ran a crank without oil...if you find any AT that runs goid,buy it...they are un breakable 🙃

I am agree, too many typical issues, which could be predicted. I am owner of AT 12 years already, almost 170.000 km mileage...

@@FranksWay they seem to be very solid. There’s 2 close by, a 2001 with 78000km for 45k and a 2002 with 32000km for 55k They both look in decent condition. They look heavy but when I look at videos they seem to handle very light.

Frank, If you are still answering questions on this video can you recall the facet fuel pump model and mfg. that you used? I have a Honda NT650 GT Hawk with a very similar motor and I like the idea of using a facet fuel pump.

Hi, great videos. I just bought a 2001 AT rd07 and im learning a lot here. Luckly they already fit the facet fuel pump on it. Why doesn't it woork if the fain fail if the carbs have bouls and the fuel tank lever is higher than the carbs ?? thanks a lot for the videos from Wales UK . Gus

Hi there,thanks for your comments...the normal pump has continous flow flooding the bowls eventually,the facet switches off on pressure

Hi, and why doesn't the engine runs if the pump fail if the carbs have bouls and the fuel tank level is higher than the carbs ?? thanks. Gus

I have tested this...if you have a three quarter full tank and even half...bypass the petrol pump if faulty and your bike WILL run...

Tx for sharing ,, I'm not sure as to which stof donkie to get eg 660 Tenere , 650 Klr , etc. Limited budget , reliability , ease of DIY basics , spares availability. Tx Dove

@@FranksWay well that would be great but it's up to you. I love the AT's so anything would be awesome mine is a 1998 model and I find parts hard to get. Did oil and oil filter change in lockdown last year but wanna know what else I should be doing

@@eugenevockerodt8752 Hi, I will make a video concentrating on key aspects that may cause you hassles in the short term, they are lovely bikes and if you keep an eye on the oil level, they run forever.

Would love a video on what tools you take on adventures to keep the bike going

Please see new videos uploaded, one on the bike prep and the other on the tools i take with.The better bike prep you do,the less tools needed for breakdowns,some times tools are a necessity for a friends assistance possibly.Either way, always be prepared.
