Very nice video showing this repair. I couldn't tell in the transcript is that donut gasket the OEM one? Oh and the other thing when the bolts on top of the donut get messed up in the rust belt you cut them out and use nuts

Thanks for this excellent video RB! My 2007 Accord Cat converter was stolen 2 days ago. Cut from the flex pipe steel shroud connector which means I will need to replace the whole flex pipe, part 700-017. Exhaust pipe where the other cut was made should still be in great condition, I believe it can be welded. My shop's quote to replace is between $2500 to $3500. Question: shouldn't you put a cat shield or lock to deter theft? I don't see this type of theft slowing down.

yo, RB. i have a 2004 accord 4 cyl. i know you're the man to ask about these cars. I'm like 90% sure i have a pretty bad exhaust leak comin from the exhaust manifold gasket. I can't find a tutorial video on exactly what needs to be removed in order to just replace the exhaust manifold gasket. Am i able to do the gasket by just taking off the bolts on the TOP of the exhaust manifold? Or do I have to unbolt it at the bottom side, too?

I have not done one of those but I would get mini torch and heat ever bolt u can buy the small torch from homedepot $45 and each bolt will be rusted so it prolly not the size it suppose to be so u have to mix and match the sockets But do ur best and avoid any bolt from snapping

The flex pipe to manifold connection feels like it has space even though I tigthened as much as possible, is that normal or should the bolts and flange tip be flush sealed? Also the exhaust flange to cata, the holes didnt align perfectly but I managed to tighten the bolts all the way when they angled, is that fine? Didnt add black stuff to gaskets, bad? Thanks for video.
