Thanks for the advice and all the information brother! My car was shaking horribly and I changed all six mounts. Took 3 days and the back one was terrible... This is super helpful, we have a 2011 2.4L is it’s doing the same thing. We replaced the front mount, but it didn’t fix the issue. Guess we we have to buy the front OEM and replace the rest.

Yes, front engine mount should be only OEM. I first installed aftermarket and bought an OEM within a week.

If you smell fuel, 1 or more of your spark plugs might be too loose. When I changed mine I did it without a torque wrench and 1 was a bit loose and I smelled fuel, tightened it up properly & no more problem.

I was wondering, when you looked under the hood. Was there noticable movement of the engine?

Can you add the link to the particular mounts you got? Amazon seem to have plenty on their site.

Does the front engine mount already has some crack or maybe even torn when you were changing it?

I had a 05 accord no problem with the vibration only when hitting the brakes new rotors everything that’s just what Honda do

does this also apply to the 2003 honda accord k24a3 cl9 6 speed manual transmission

Does that same process apply to the 05 accord I noticed everything in that 04 u working on is exactly like mine my 05 accord with 135k miles after doing a quick revv to 4k rpms to test out something I ended up feeling slight vibrations all of sudden when in park or stopped in drive at a light never had any type of vibration at all it drives smooth feels new actually still since I do all preventive maintence ahead of time on my own but I can't explain the sudden vibe just for revving it to 4k rpms for about 5 seconds. Any ideas? If maybe a mount went with that kinda Rev? I never revved my engine since I've owned the car any higher then 2,500 in park or even while driving highest I hit is 3k n it drops below.

I installed them and they vibrated almost as bad as the worn-out OEM mounts. So I bought all Honda OEM mounts. The rear OEM mount 'pops' only in reverse on the first acceleration. It's obviously made from a different kind of rubber. But all the other OEM mounts are true OEm mounts. They all work now and the vibration is almost zero all the time. So I definitely would NOT buy these aftermarket mounts. I even tried 2 other aftermarket mounts and they didn't work. Too much vibration. Anchor is a definite NO b/c they are non-hydraulic and transmit the vibrations totally! My tip on replacing the rear mount: remove it out the driver side. Detach the brackets that hold the hoses and do the usual disconnect of the 2 driver side mounts (upper and lower tranny mounts) as well as losen up the passenger and front mounts. Jack the engine up a couple inches for clearance of the rear mount, and it should 'slip' right out. I did it both ways (out the passenger side) and this is by far the easiest way. Takes about 1/2 an hour to remove using a jack in your driveway.

Gonna have to do this soon, never have that humming sound but when the a/c fan kicks on and I’m at a stop it feel like it wants to pull the car forward. Hopefully the mounts will fix the issue my car is having. Thank you!!

I recently replaced the front and passenger side motor mount and I still vibrates not as much but it still does it’s on a Honda accord 2005 LX 2.4

So can you tell me how the aftermarket engine mounts you installed held up over time? Just wondering if I should get the El cheapos or go with OEM Honda mounts, thanks so much for your time.

Always go OEM with this kind of stuff. Those Amazon ones will probably last a year or two.

I just bought a 2019 q50 and I feel a tiny amount of vibration in the seat and steering wheel I can’t tell if it’s normal or not…

Is it the same with Manual transmission on neutral

My mechanic changed all of the mounts on the engine and trans, but the car still runs rough and vibrates at idle. I'm just at a loss. It was $1800 to change a lot of the worn out suspension bushings and engine and transmission mounts, and the thing still runs rough.

Was the front engine mount OEM? The aftermarket front engine mounts are really bad. Try cleaning the throttle body and check for vacuum leaks and a dirty air filter first before doing anything else.

Can be a lot. Bad timming, dirty intake, iac, egr, vacuum leaks, even dirty ground wires can mess with the computer and it won't get the right signal and make it idle rough.

I have the same problem with my 2011 honda accord ex with 90k..I wouldn't mind spending the money if I knew it would fix it for sure..but if it doesn't it would suck.

Is buying motor mounts from Amazon a good idea? Heard they don't really last..

I can tell you what the issue is and how I "fixed" it. New mounts, all of them and make sure they are oem not aftermarket. Do a tune up, New oem plugs, New pvc valve, new ignition coils, new serpentine belt, valve adjustment, new air filters. Finally have the ac compressor checked and make sure all the pulleys are goos. Check for any vacuum leaks. Reset the ecu and do the idle sequence. Finally drive with the lights on.

There is no motor mount in the front. The motor mounts are bad. It’s a valve adjustment do to tight exhaust valve lash. Adjusting these valves. your good to go. Not quite sure where all of this comes in a play but I love to understand more. I definitely will check into this, but this would fix my vehicle. No problem it was a pain but got done pretty easily. Also did I hope there is a paper towel in the intake lol.

The 7th gen accords have a motor mount in the front, it has a little vacuum hose and is not difficult to get to. I've replaced a few of those (on other cars). On my 07 I replaced all mounts and did a good tune up, found out two of my pullies were worn, so I replaced the part (water pump and serpentine tensioner assenbly) the car runs like new, no more vibration.

I think it must’ve been about 2-3 weeks ago started to notice that it started to vibrate slightly when switched into drive but not while driving only at idle, I started to feel it in the steering wheel I can feel the ac vents vibrate a bit. I thought at first it might’ve with the sudden temperature drop since it’s starting to get cold where I live

@@brianbarrientoz it ended up being the motor mounts for me. Just fyi if you change them it’ll still be kinda vibrating if you use aftermarket motor mounts instead of ORM. I also changed out the transmission mounts too. Not 100% if that was also a factor in it vibrating but mine were cracked which is why I changed them

I still have the vibration only when the vv is on and I bought a original motor mount In front of

I changed the transmission and passenger side motor mounts, also I changed the tensioner and belt. All original from Honda dealer and still having the same vibration, don’t know what else to do. Mine is a Honda Accord 2010, 4 cylinders. Any advise? Front and back motor mounts looks great.

@yuriyuri1715 nope never did. Totaled my car a few months back. Bought (paying) a new camry now. I check the car fax looks like they fixed the car in April. Cause i see an emissions passed report. It has 160k miles on it. I took well care of the car, but it had oil leaks from the engine oil pan, Burns no oil. Just wonder what it looks like now. Also something weird was happening with the engine after i crashed so when i had the chance to keep it, i said no because i didnt want to fix all its problems. And i had put in a lot of money to replace the rear brakes, drive axles, engine mounts to try to fix that vibration. Im just glad i dont have to deal with it anymore. No i didnt crash it just to buy a new car either.

Should I ask my mechanic to try this? He fixed something a few days ago but it only made the vibrating worse and added noise.

Same thing happened to me he said he replaced the motor mounts but vibration got worse and added noise . My rpm also moves while idle did you ever fix the issue ?

Now I know why our Accord 2004 vibrates so bad. So bad that the parking attendant in our office gives my car a strange look whenever I stop by and pay for my parking. The car vibration is that bad!

I had vibrations and the car would shut off at idle. What I found was I had a cracked intake

Status Report: Got just the OEM front mount and got rid of my problem. Can see physical differences between the aftermarket one I got vs the OEM. The rest of my mounts are still the aftermarket pieces I used before.

Motor and or trans mounts are only ONE OF MANY potential issues causing vibrations. Parts changing to find vibration issues will get expensive really fast, and often times get you no where. Proper diagnostic work is the only way to go !

My car does that, shakey thing, De guy at jiffy lube says it's fine it's okay that it's bc my car doesn't have de ac & it squeaks. I got air in De ac but i guess it's not cold? I prefer De windows i don't really do that. What you said about de weights makes sense cause it does that tug thing. I don't really tug things so i use regular gas. But i can feel it. It wants to race with De other tooters & tug & then me i drive slow like an old lady 😂 it's old over 2k5 hundred miles but my baby feels good. They say if it feels good it's good. You get a feel you can kind of tell.

Anyone elses 8th gen accord gas pedal vibrating? It just suddenly started vibrating one day and i dont know why. I never cared about vibration of the vehicle but when the gas pedal starts doing it then it becomes a big problem

I just changed all 5 original honda mounts for my accord (it really cost me a bomb!) , however the car still vibrate a little when idle.. not sure if anyone has any idea how to solve this? The mechanic blames that one of the mount is some aftermarket mount hence causing the vibrations and he ask me to drive for a week to observe.. the funny part is if I turn off my air conditioning and the RPM drop the car was quiet, but the car starts vibrate once the air conditioning is on.. please help :(

Belt tensioner can be problem on ac. It was that on my cl9 k24.

Same when I shut off heat or ac it doesn't rattle nearly as loud though I will say it sounds more like something coming from underneath the engine bay like an exhaust heat sheild of some sort

Just some updates on the vibration issue and I have manage to fix it! :) Would suggest to send the car to have the throttle body and the mass air flow (MAF) sensor checked and clean it if is dirty. I cleaned this two components of my car and the vibration went off. Hope this method can solve your problem too.

I need help , i spent 1900 bucks to solve why my car vibrates in idle. I went to two mechanics got my spark plugs repaired, right upper mount, body throttle cleaning , replaced battery and serptine belt replace. It still vibrates i am getting very depressed because I feel like no one actually helping me fix the problem and I keep shalling out money.
