That recoil 😂😂😂. Could the main spring be weakened/ slackened off slightly to help with " pre recoil kick", without risking weak primer strikes?

It could, and I actually plan on addressing this issue. Even from the shoulder, the jump makes aiming very difficult.

@@Fairfax_kit Normal slamfires (bolt travel forward) have the same problem. Maybe lessen the distance of barrel travel?

I was thinking exactly that. I have enough room in the receiver to reduce the barrel travel almost in half.

@@Fairfax_kit Yes cut it down and you'll see a world of difference.

almost a cobray terminator, but with an absurd recoil. Decrease the spring tension or replace the entire kk system.

Do you think you can shoulder it and hit a target your aiming at? Looks like it barrel rises alot from recoil. You still must be very happy it works. Any sights going on it in the future? I found a spring that i think is very close to yours for when i build mine. I got it at tractor supply lol. Thanks for sharing hope you make some more vids of you shooting it from your shoulder when its safe to :)

Hi Shawn, yes I did shoulder fire it many times, I just haven't uploaded the clips yet. There is a bit of a learning curve to aiming, though. Seeing the barrel come back at you is hard to get over, lol. You want to flinch, even after years of shooting experience. The muzzle climb is not bad if you're shoulder firing it, either. It's a lot better than hip firing, like in this video. It's hard to see but I have a bead sight on the receiver installed. Keep me updated on yours, I'd love to see it. :)

@@Fairfax_kit yah i can imagine the barrel coming back with a shell in it at high speed must be very different lol. Thanks for responding and i cant wait to see some more uploads in the future. I bet with practice it will be easier and maybe the spring will brake in alittle more :) hope when i build mine it will be as nice as yours but i dont have much experiance welding hopefully it will be ok. I own a cheap stick welder. Need to get some time to practice more.

Practice makes perfect. I'm not an incredibly good welder either, but you can make do, I'm sure.

Juuust a little...

The original Terminator had a spring loaded gizmo which locked the barrel back when it was fired. Does yours? Is it really necessary in this design? Having seen AK customs build and shoot a gun with no lock up whatsoever, I'm thinking not.

I discussed this in my last video on it, It has no locking mechanism. I built it to see if the unlocked breech Idea would even work in this application. It seems to work fine.
