    I just made this fish cake. I followed exactly as the recipes and procedures and fried a small portion of the fish cake texture. Boy, after tasting one and it was so tasty and I just kept on eating the cooked batch one after another. I finished in no time because it texture was so just right and tasty. I would do it again and make it for my daughter in law. I am sure those who tried the recipe would say the same . Thank you Maangchi !😃

    Yea... I would just say the same thing... In my country, we have pempek made from fish and flour too... But the price is expensive... I am curious of how fish cake become one of cheap street food in Korean...

    @@gameisfun9391 Waste not, want not. There's so much bycatch fish that we just waste, killing fish for no reason and dumping them depleting the oceans. Might as well use them and not waste.

    Commercial fish cakes use scrap from other fish products like fillets and such, like chicken nuggets are really just scraps too.

    I made this for dinner today. It's easy to make and taste soooooo good! It's bouncy and adding onion enhanced the fragrance of the fish cakes. Love, love them. Will make bigger quantity in future.

    When I went to Seoul, I ate at high end food court that served freshly made gourmet fish cake that had many variety of fish and vegetables. It was extraordinarily delicious. Gonna tried to make it using this recipe but also put some vegetables chopped hot pepper, sesame seed leaves etc. Thanks Maangchi! Luv ya

    I hadn't cod & squid fish,so I made eomuk with salmon & shrimp.I also used green chili as you've told.The eomuk really turned out so nice.Thanks to @Maangchi

    I just made this recipe today. Knowing that I would not be disappointed with your recipe, I made a double batch of it! It is delicious!!! I am gluten intolerant so I cannot eat the fish cakes that are sold in the stores but by making your recipe and substituting the flour with gluten free flour I am able to eat and enjoy fish cake again! I am excited because now I can make 😮tteokbokki with fish cake again! Thank you for this delicious recipe.

    Using my other halves tablet. I love watching your videos! I have been making your kimchee for 6 years. He has not tried the kimchee but loves the kimchee pancakes. I have made your fish cake. I make your awesome side dish he loves it!! I made it tonight a long with KFC hack chicken and rice. When I made fish cake side dish I used your recipe for honey ginger I used this because I could not find rice syrup. I also added green bean and small diced potato. He will never fire me!     Great recipe! Tastiest fish sticks I've ever had! I also used an 18" piping bag and 789 (wilton or ateco) tip, and made wide, flat strips. Actually worked pretty well! I'm going to use them for tteokbokki and eomuk bokkeum.

    In the Philippines, we have these as fishballs ( because they're shaped like balls ) . I always ate these stuff after dismissal, they always wait for us outside the school. This is just in a different shape but when I watched the vid I slowly realized 'oh, these are fishballs' . Anyway, thank you maangchi! ^^

I try ur homemade fishcake.... seriously delicious.... me n my kids really enjoy them.... in fact most of ur korean dishes i already try them.... in spore mostly korean stuff not halal for muslims..so i have to adjust some of the ingredients.. but it still turn out delicious....     in the video you use any purpose flour and potato flour. can i use tapioca flour (many people usually call it sago) and corn flour? is it much better when we use any flour than sago in it?
