This dude is an incredible actor. He’s so easy to hate and he’s absolutely disgusting in the way he kills people doctor Manhattan style like it means nothing. Incredible acting.

I’m not a superheroes genre fan, but The Boys is fantastic and Homelander is part of its brilliance. You know he’s he’s evil but the acting and scripts so good that no one is completely one dimensional. This series really messes with the established tropes with such excellenece. I, for one, cannot wait for season 2,

If you think he's unpredictable than you don't get the character. His triggers are pretty easy to spot. Don't screw with him, and don't lie to him, and you are fine. He would kill a lot more people if he was unpredictable.

3:32 a detail I love how the directors thought about the laser eyes is that he firsts focuses them on something isn't explosive or anywhere dangerous, and then moves his eyes towards the direction of the person he tries to kill, showing that's he's lazy with his accuracy and he'd rather just slice them then use pin point accuracy and focusing on his kills.

They couldnt have found a better actor for this role

Finally actual representation of lasers. It always bogged me how laser would pass through huge metals like knife in butter but never decapitate people( X-Men).

Well if you’re referring to cyclops there is an actual reason, he hasn’t got typical laser eyes they’re called concussive blasts. Basically his eyes are like really strong wind or a constant stream of punches. His lasers would heat something by pure force, not from the heat of the beam itself like home lander and superman. Thats why his laser pushes doors away opposed to just cutting through them

Thanos didn't "retire" because he didn't have a job. He stopped running around killing people for like a month because everyone loyal to him died.

One of the best character in any show in years! He's so unnerving and captivating in every scene because you know he could do whatever he wanted and there's nobody who can stop him. Instantly creates tension and makes you take notice for every scene he's in.

Every scene with Homelander is a scary scene.

It crazy to think how much influence that homelander has like in the plane scene he's so good at just flipping the script. This actor is incredible as are all the other actors but he just knows how to play this narcissist of a character perfectly man.

I mean really whoever cast this guy to play Homelander GIVE HIM/HER AN F-ING RAISE, BONUS, EXTRA PTO AND WHILE WERE AT IT A SHARE IN THE COMPANY

The best part is as horrifying and vile as he is there's part of me that feels sympathetic towards him and that's the magic of this show: depth.

Textbook sociopath, not from birth but from trauma during upbringing due to social neglect and lack of a loving family. Also hugely narcissistic, can't really say 'delusions of grandeur' though as he is basically a god.

Homelander is one of the best parts of this show. The actor is knocking it out of the park.

What a villain they made. I'm not the one to be impressed by a fictional character, but this one has been written so great. Can't wait for season 2.

One of the most convincing villains in recent memory, creepily sadistic with real mommy issues who clearly enjoys his work :)

"Is he a good guy or a bad guy? Homelander keeps us guessing ..." - No, not really.

That scene with the Doctor who raised him was my favorite of the series so far. It shows that Homelander is so lonely and warped from how he was raised. He’s a victim of circumstance.
