Don't worry about their relationship going too fast. The thing is that they time skipped a lot in the first episode so they basically got closer in that time. The show gets straight to the point and I love it

I actually felt the fast pace was refreshing ❤ But still went to read the manga afterwards for a bit extra 😂

This is absolutely an "adult" anime; in that, it has none of the misunderstanding and childish stuff. It gets straight to the point and characters don't beat around the bush when they speak to each other. It's one of the greatest things about this show. 11/10 great show, I know you both are going to love it.

Is there an anime where they don't show the sub leads perspective immediately and hold the misunderstanding until the next episode? like episode A is only perspective of the MC but episode B is the perspective of the potential significant other? then comes episode C where they slow try to understand the other's perspective?

@@rhiel1728 "Gamers" technically should count "kind a spoiler", but not really it basically MC 1 and MC 2 do something, MC 3 and / or MC 4 see them, sometimes they having 2 "problem" at the same time, etc

What I loved about this show is how grounded on reality it is. No over the top and exaggerated stereotypes, it just feels so real

About this being a new show, that's not the case. This show ended a couple of years ago, but that version didn't cover all the manga. So, after a really long time, they decided to make an extra season just with the content missed

in the manga yuki actiualy fances him and catches miya at her place but lies and says its her cousin she has no idea its miya but its a funny bit of the manga that sadly didnt make it to the anime, small note this was uploaded like 5 days ago but episodes 1 - 4 take place over the corse off 1 year and a half condensed into a small amount of time for the anime

This is my top favorite anime of all time. This anime so wholesome and simple. This anime is so realistic, from the relationship and the progression.

I don't know if this is still a relevant info but every questions hori ask miyamura like "are an otaku?" actually happened on different days. So those scenes alone shows that the two's friendship has been going on for weeks by that time. Phase wise, it is kinda fast but context wise it's actually normal.

can't wait for Hori's father coming home. he's sooooooo funny

soooo excited to you y'all reacting to this show! Hori and Miyamora are one of my top couples and as you get later down and learn the backstories their relationship just becomes even more wonderful.

I feel like you can't fully appreciate this anime if you haven't watched many other romance animes. This is such a breath of fresh air having characters that actually talk about their feelings.

I forget what episode it is, but there's such a cute moment between the little brother and Miyamura, it's definitely my favorite part of the show

Just like My Dress-Up Darling, Horimiya is an absolute favorite romance anime for me. Even as much as I adore Dress-Up, this, I probably love more. The sincerity, the humour, the actualizing, the emotions, the characters! It is just so damn good. So happy to see another Horimiya reaction.

Dangers was apparently last in their poll (somehow despite it imo it being better than the other shows in the poll), so they will not watch it any time soon if ever. Angel was not even in the poll from what I saw.

you both should 100% watch 100 girlfriends, its a BOMB romance anime, you'd be surprised at the amount of humor and actual thought put into it. it's a harem anime but its one of the ONLY ones who did it right, you'd 100% get what i mean if u check it out, its incredibly wholesome and wild lol

This series is amazing, you guys will definitely love the rest of it. It got me into romance/romcom and slice-of-life animes and is now my 2nd favorite behind Kaguya-sama. On a side note, are you guys planning to watch the 2nd season of Oshi no ko after it airs next month?

Horimiya is not new in terms of anime because it was already been adapted to an anime in 2012 with the tittle "Hori san to Miyamura kun" but it was adapted straight from the original web novel while the 2023 is adopted from the manga the only difference is the art style, 2023 adopted the art style of the manga while the 2012 is much simpler more like it was a fan art. Story wise both stays true to the source material and it doesn't matter which one you pick first also we don't forget about the second season The Missing Pieces 🧩 which covers the story that doesn't adapted from the first season.

horimiya is one of the best romance shows out there so u gonna love it definitely , personally this is my number 1 romance show tbh , for various reasons one of them is that i kinda associate with miyamura , i am almost like him characterbased and pastbased also the other reason is that the music / cut scenes (u know when they kinda a freeze slowdown the tempo of the show with that piano ost) this kinda brings me some nostalgiaa feeling idk of what tho or why but it makes me feels somehow and yeah all this makes this my number 1 romance , also this is quite realistic too for an anime romance so yeah in most of its aspects

Horimiya was on the year before Dress Up Darling (Dress up Darling was describe as the next show to watch if you like HoriMiya) ( and the following years was The Angel Next Door Spoil Me Rotten, but I have more reserve for that one, even if I liked it, closer to regular romcom than the gold level Horimiya/Dress Up Darling)

Horimiya is certainty a nice show, and a bit unorthodox for a romance too thats for sure. oh and i love the chemistry between all of the characters, in this regard its more like Kaguya-sama with its focus on more than just two main characters like in My Dress-up Darling

"It's like 2 days..." no, it's been several weeks. There is just a ton of manga material cut out to make the anime more faster and more enjoyable. There is 9 month between start ep.1 and end ep.2, the 11 following episode are around a year (ok, 6 month+4or5month cut) long.

Guys, you should watch the after credits cuz the have extra scenes
