yeah from what I remember it is mentioned in the manga that Kyoko father is often absent from home due to work. He send all the money to the family 😁

It's referred to in the manga, but not in the anime.

Kyoko's dad is honestly the best and most funny character in the show.

Remi really got done dirty with the way they introduced her to the series. She really is a sweet and kind person. She's just mischievous and like to work people up a bit.

Yeah, every time, I end up thinking of her as two different characters- the dummy who got Hori in trouble, which got Prez headbutted, and the cutie who adores her friends and likes everyone.

Actually, to me, this mangata seems to like introducing characters in uncomfortable settings or negative ways, but then somehow gets you to see them differently (usually more positive) later. I think the mangata wants us to reflect on how we treat people when we first meet them versus getting to know them.

As an anime only viewer, the way I interpreted her was she just pushes some buttons to get people out of stagnant loops. Sometimes people poke the bear just because it breaks a cycle that needed breaking

Kyosuke is legitimately my favorite character he's got so much personality

Kyosuke is honestly a great dad, Hori calls him by his first name as he was absent due to work but he would,always send money and pay for their educations fully, but genuinely he’s a great dad

i LOVE how her dad just ask Hori if he was her boyfriend and she just say yes even if both of them never actually acknoledge yet the fact... it's seem so normal and natural!

fun fact, the dad is voiced by the same guy as Jotaro in JoJo. the same way as Shiroganes dad was voiced by the voice actor of DIO lmao

I recommend 2 anime guys. 1) Blue Period, the theme is self discovery and about talent/hardwork-- its like an anime about an expansion of the Gojo on episode 4 where he stayed all night making Marin's first costume when he said 'just because you love something doesn't mean you're good at it". 2) Dangers in my Heart S1-S2, I just believe the best romance of 2023, and in fact most probably for 2024 as well. In some site polls, it even did a clean sweep of anime of the season, couple of the season, main character/main heroine of the season for 13 consecutive weeks, and that's the same time as Solo Leveling, Frieren Cour 2 and Apothecary Diaries were airing... so that's saying something.

I’m not sure if you two would like to, But I have an anime to recommend especially if you like HoriMiya, It’s called “ORESUKI Are you the only one who loves me?” It’s basically a romantic comedy, but It has a really interesting and beautiful way of expressing emotions and moral decisions in my opinion, I think it’s a genuinely beautiful and interesting anime. The only thing would be careful with the few panty shots and such it has😭. It’s a very interesting anime tho so I hope it at least peaks your interest to check it out in public or private. 🤍
