The last one has a deep instantly engaging tone; a big sound certainly, but delicate pianissimos are readily evoked as well.Another feature is its response in all registers and that makes playing more enjoyable.On lesser violins the D string can be a bit tame but not so here- there is n't a dull note.I ought to know, it's my violin !

@Fiddlershop were all violins equiped with the same strings?

Do you still have that last Maggini violin (with the special purfling on the backside)?
