Just found out Maggini made no violins with an extra turn in the scroll yet there are thousands of copies that have that extra turn. Was wondering why? To show that it's not a forgery by the other makers? Those both sound great though. I love Maggini style fiddles.

Yes sir most old ones you will come across are German or French copies.
