She was a huge celebrity for a few years there and made a boatload of money for them. Disney horribly underpaid her.

Lmfao, when you bring up the sex scene you show a picture of Hilary Duff with her on screen brother, Jake Thomas. So I thought they cancelled it cause of incest 💀

$55 million gross with 17 million in production costs leaves the net profit of, 38 million dollars. I can see why they didn’t want to give up an additional $3 million. Who wants to make 35 million when you can make 38 million?… or nothing at all.

It's a big challenge to get anyone to pay attention to a new show. If people would sample it for nostalgia's sake and it had quality, that would be a good start for a show.

I honestly think that at some point we, as a society, need to seriously take a look at Disney and their actions over the past 10-15 and maybe 20 years. I don't mean the theme park. Though I'm aware some people are boycotting them. I mean the studio. Look at the number of child/teen actresses that have had issues over the years. Issues meaning eating disorders or weight issues, etc. Raven Symone saying she had 2 breast reduction surgeries while she was still a teen. Demi Lovato having an eating disorder and drug addiction. There are so many others. Sometimes it just feels like Disney is problematic. I don't believe that Selena Gomez came out of her teens unscathed. I also wonder if there were issues with Ariana Grande that went unaddressed as well. Maybe things that the general public isn't aware of? Even Scarlett Johanson suing Disney. And how Marvel spent years building a really good MCU franchise. Only for the streaming service to drastically decrease the value of the storylines and disappoint countless fans. Then the way they dropped and turned their backs on Johnny Depp and Jonathan Majors. But for some reason Ezra Miller and his numerous strange and conceening behavior gets a pass from Warner Bros. And I'm using the word "strange" in the most loose possible way. I hope Ezra gets the help that is needed. There are so many people who have left this world unnecessarily over the years. And I don't want Ezra to be one of them. I'm aware that if there are drug, alcohol or other issues that a person has to want to get the help that is needed. But in the case where there are on and offset disturbing, concerning and strange behavior I think a studio executive, producer, director or someone with common sense and genuine concern for the persons general well-being should step in and at least attempt to have an intervention. Or not work with that particular person until they at least prove that they have made some positive changes. If there were these kind of guidelines in place them maybe Demi Lovato's drug overdose, which resulted in her have numerous mini strokes and no longer being allowed to drive, could have been prevented. I'm not saying that Disney is responsible for all the issues that actors and actresses that have worked with them have had. But if you look back Lindsey Lohan, Miley Cyrus and other Disney actresses had a period where they seemed to struggle. So did Britney Spears who was on the Mickey Mouse Club. And I'm aware that child and teen actors have their own individual challenges in life. I'm just suggesting that guidelines in favor of the persons well-being more than the studios turning a profit should or could be put into place. And if you look at it the people who seemed to struggle the most are all female. I just find that odd. It could be a coincidence. But it'd be an odd reoccurring coincidence.

I’m still salty there was never a sequel because her mother was being greedy. And also sad that the reboot didn’t work out. Really wish Disney would’ve worked with Hilary, what a loss.

I get confused when you talk about movie budgets. It seems sometimes include the cost of advertising and promotions and sometimes you don't. If the production cost $17M i imagine the cost of Ads and Promos would be about the same or more. So was it a success or not?
