Hiking Cannon Mountain | NH48

Спорт

Cannon Mountain was the second hike of the 48 New Hampshire White Mountains 4000-footers Ashley, Willow, the girls and I did (Mt. Tecumseh being #1, but I didn't bring my GoPro/Gimbal). We loved this hike! I would highly recommend Cannon as an early mountain to tackle if you are thinking about taking on all 48. It's steep and rugged, but amazing views throughout and not a particularly long hike. Also -- it's a shorter drive from the Boston area compared to many others, plus bathrooms (depending on season), and giant brownies (depending on season)!

That was a great video. I have hiked the same trail 2 times. But no, brownies at the top or end of every class 3 hike ? No way. Pack in, pack out. A lot of the people at the top took the Tram, so they don't deserve a 4lb brownie like your family.👍👍Btw, enjoy the Nor'easter tonight. And also, the Ammonoosic Ravine Trail is a must do. Sometimes there is beef stew at the top, at least 25 years ago there was and no tram, so everyone deserves a bite. 👍👍🤣

You should do ammonosuc ravine trail with them. Washington has lots of food at the top and ammo has some of the best views I’ve ever seen. They would love Mount Washington.

I did this trail earlier this year. I hate Cannon. The only redeeming quality of Cannon is the cafeteria at the top. Here's my hike up Cannon. kzread.info/dash/bejne/fIxhxaWyZJbcpLA.html I suppose if I was doing 12-15 4,000 footers a year like was doing 5 or 6 years ago, Cannon wouldn't be so bad but I am not peak bagging like I once was. The Old Man IS NEW HAMPSHIRE. I grew up north of Cannon mountain, I learned to ski on Cannon mtn. Every time we drove through "The Notch" you would look up to see The Old Man. It was a sad day the day he fell from the mountain.
