Gosh that's a super pace you set Zeb. I got tired just watching you and trying to keep up with the vid. You're really fit to be able to do that and film and retrieve all the while whilst giving us a look at the incredible landscape and waterways. Thanks for all your efforts on each and every adventure you take us on. Bushyboy Oz.

Im glad you like them mate. I appreciate the support. It was a super awesome trip. Cheers
Oh Man - cool vid many memories Passed through the Lewis yesterday. Ran it 2008-2011 including one overnight with the horses, best of a 7.35. Boy child now on the PCT did it a couple of months ago. Would love to go back for a 2-3 days. Great capture of the colours and trail. Kudos edit: saw the horses in the same place, we ran with them for 15 minutes at about 1am. Never forgetting that

Those wild horses were a nice surprise. Cool that you ran into someone that recognised you, too. Very impressive, Zeb -- you really smashed that trek!

Thanks Geof!
Thank you for this video. I have done this trip many times, it is one of my gauging tramps to see for fit I am. Normally, I do it in 2 or 3 days, depends how I feel, social trips about 4 days with wine and good food. A friend ran it in 9 hours 30 years ago! I always wanted to do that, but nowhere as fit as he was!

9 hours! That's impressive. It's a fun tramp, lots of nice variation to it. Thanks for watching.
What a fast trip! Great views through the valleys, nice sprinkle of snow. So cool to be recognised!Loved seeing the horses again - cheers!

Great personal achievement, thanks for adding variety to your videos, what are you training for “Adventure Games”?

Thanks Dave. Not really training for anything specific. I do have a few goals in mind but I am mostly just trying to keep fit and push/challenge myself. Cheers.
Chur mate. You're a bloody machine alright. Awesome pace mate. Given me the inspiration I need to hit it tomorrow, although not at that speed, lol. Another banger brutha. Keep em coming. 👍🤙

Thanks Cheralee! Yeah, it was a great trip
been lovign the mixture of bushcraft and fastpacking, felt like i was the only one out there enjoying both. I've always felt the bushcraft skills provide such a safety backing to travelling with minimal gear in risky situations. Only found your channel last night but binged a heap and it was really nice watching your confidence progress over time. Is that the evernew burner? Im thinking about getting one for shorter trips. What windscreen have you got?
@BackcountryKiwi
Жыл бұрын
Thanks Dave. Yeah it's a fun mix that I enjoy. I agree with you, I definitely feel more comfortable knowing I have some skills/knowledge to back up my ultralight setup. The alcohol stove is from barrett outdoors. It's great! Especially for shorter trips. The windscreen I think was from macpac and I have cut it smaller. Cheers!
Love your spontaneous approach to your camping. You could grow this channel to something very big . Keep up the great content

Nothing like the comforts of home after one of those, what was it you call it, "smashing the bar" two-day sprints? And home to a real feast, too. Makes the trip feel all the more epic, IMHO. 42K, now that's a bit of hiking in two days. Well done, BK, really enjoyed this one! Cheers.

This is a macpac hesper 40l that I pulled the frame out of. Cheers! Sounds epic, hope it goes well for ya
Are you even trying, this should been casual day run (sarcasm) Seriously impressive mission, and to film it as well. Will be quite surprise to people reading the hut books to see trip intentions filled out on the same day in a row over that distance. I would want such massive feed after a day like that.
