Fastpacking the Edwards - Hawdon Route | Solo Overnighter

Ойын-сауық

The Edwards - Hawdon Route is a 2-3 day tramp in Arthurs Pass National Park.
Setting off with only a few hours of light left I made my way up the Hawdon valley to Walker Pass where I camped for the night, sheltered from the low cloud and drizzle.
With low cloud still hanging about in the morning I made my way up to Tarn col and down to Taruahuna Pass. The sun made an appearance and it turned out to be an awesome day for tramping. From the pass I followed the Edwards river valley down to Edwards Hut and eventually out to the road end where I hitched a ride back to my car.
It was a super fun overnight mission.

Agreed with everything you said about hiking in poor conditions, it tests our preparation & outdoor skills. Thanks for sharing.

What a beauty of places that when it was cloudy full of clouds, as with the sun, you can appreciate the beauty of nature.

Another good trip mate. Just sat down for a beer after work and your notification popped up. Perfect timing. I've messed my foot up so doubt I'll be getting out for a tramp tomorrow so was feeling totally bummed. But living through you and your vid has brightened my spirit and somewhat eased my itch to get back out there. Looking forward to next one mate. 🤙

Hey Damon, thanks heaps man. A bugger about your foot man. It's never fun when injuries get in the way of our trips. So glad my video helped a bit man, that's really awesome to hear. Thanks for the support! I hope you get the chance to get out soon. Cheers

Another great vid Zeb. Would love to hear review about a piece of equipment your using (maybe 1 every other video) like a little Easter egg surprise. Maybe it's just me but I'm very curious about every bit of gear you use. Talk over the campfire about the meals is good too. Hope that chocolate was Whittikers .
