It's such a shame,You can't find anything as wholesome as this show was,on today's TV schedule.
I was never in my life addicted to anything, I got addicted to this show, can't stop watching it and I never cried and laughed so much in my life.

Yes, it was in production when I was in high school. In fact, I remember seeing this episode in its original broadcast, during my senior year of high school, as well as various other HTH episodes during their original broadcast.
"Volleyball??? Come on, that's a GIRL'S sport!" 🤣 Love me some Victor French and Michael Landon
41:27 the music cherish the love it blends in so nice. God bless the world praise the Lord.
Michael Landon played a great teacher. Would've loved it if he was my teacher back in high school. Ah those high school years! RIP Michael Landon and Victor French! Technology and the money that we make now has changed, but the love of this show hasn't and never will😊
High school can be such a stressful time for teenagers. But as i look back i realize i was living some of the best years of my life.

lol one of my teachers in HS said "these ARE the good old days. one day you'll know." lmao. I don't know, I wasn't a popular kid so it wasn't that positive for me. Though I admit life was perhaps a bit simpler. :)

This episode was a message of God to me!!! I´m 57 years old and unemployed. My sweet daughter gave the money for the rent next month and felt so ashamed. We men could assume these situations, but this message gives me hope and feel so proud of my sweet daughter. I sure God will help us.

When a classmate of mine got his Masters degree in Physics he went into the job market and got into situations like the father in this story, So he did what Johnathan had suggested to the father in this story. He got himself a job in air-conditioning. A job miles beneath his level of education. Fast forward 35 years later, he has an AC and Heating company with 50 employees and is a millionaire today......truth is stranger than fiction......

What is “strange” about that story. It’s not like he owned his own AC business a year or two later, you said it took 35 years! Lol it sounds like he worked hard and earned it, what exactly is “strange” about this “truth”. This is more an example of how truth is way less strange than fiction, the opposite. lol
Good episode! Extra marks for the most 1980's song selections at the prom near the end! A real time capsule!
Love these shows!
Mr. Gordon is really funny..:)
It was so great when Danny slugged Richard lol 😆

Michael London says if Height meant everything you all be in Love 🥰 with Andre The Giant !
I like this episode very much
There is always a certain part of the show when i just cry . The story lines and acting by the main actors and guest stars are just great !
Took my back being a teenager
I grew up watching this TV show.
Judging from this and the episode before it, I think I can guess Michael Landon's two favourite songs.

That bully guy reminds me of a young Jim Carrey. I'm surprised Jonathan didn't use the " stuff" to kind of teach him as lesson or something.

Thinking about proms makes me uneasy, since I watched Carrie😳
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 , this episode have me cracking up so much , Beautiful ❤️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

The music of the eighties, what an amazing nostalgia♥️🥰
I love watching highway to heaven
14:20 Music from the movie St. Elmo's Fire! LOL very cool!
Oooooooh , they are playing that my favorite love tune from the Legend movie ♥️♥️♥️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 , ain't those children wondering how come Mr Smith and Mark are just about every where in every thing 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I like the jeans on the guys. It seems that one can find them in retro shops these days. The 80s look with the all the style and bold colors.
"Fill it up with unleaded," I remember having a choice. I remember when they started forcing unleaded gas on us. I bought cars that sat for 10 years. Put a battery in it, maybe clean the points, and it would start and run off that old gas. It smelled bad but put a fresh 5 gallons in it, and you were going down the road. Today, a car sits one year, forget it. I've seen them not run after 6 months.
Great Episode
This is what proms should be like. Not the abominations at hotels and such.

Agree 101% with you. I've never cared for proms. But it just puts pressure on kids and parents to go to great lengths to "raise" money and it's more expensive for girls. Less is more, the simpler the better.

25:40 hmmm i didn't see THAT one comin up.west st and around the corner total supprise 👌🙂
28:00 At 1.57 metres (5 ft 2 in), he was the height of an average French male but short for an aristocrat or officer (part of why he was assigned to the artillery, since at the time the infantry and cavalry required more commanding figures). Some historians believe the reason for the mistake about his size at death came from the use of an obsolete old French yardstick (a French foot equals 33 cm, while an English foot equals 30.47 cm). Napoleon was a champion of the metric system and had no use for the old yardsticks. It is more likely that he was 1.57 m (5 ft 2 in), the height he was measured at on St. Helena (a British island), since he would have most likely been measured with an English yardstick rather than a yardstick of the Old French Regime.

Lol yeah that scene made no sense. The character was supposed to be intelligent too so it made it extra silly. It’s the legs that make people tall or short generally speaking, not the upper body.

It's a winsome version of Cherish The Love playing at the 41:00 mark I think! It was popular at the time and I think it was sort of disguised to fit in to make it seem up to date!
