High level Cisco Catalyst 3850 switch stack
Ғылым және технология
This is a VERY high level overview of the Cisco 3850's and the system LED's. I made this video to share with some coworkers who are getting into networking and was encouraged to share it publicly.
For a full list of what the system LED's do, check out this Cisco link:

Thank you for the video
Just don't hold down the the mode button for more than 15 seconds. Wanna know why, it will erase the config on the switch, and these are older ones cause the mode button is hit by the snagless piece on the cable if inserted into the first port. Great design Cisco.

E J yeah I have heard of some situations where people had their 3850s constantly reloading or reloading “randomly” when they would work on them. And it was because of the protective jacket on the cable head was holding down the mode button. Once they figured that out it stopped reloading.
That module has 2 10 g slots and 4 1 g slots depending on how it is configured.
Aren't these carrier grade?
How many hosts does this support? Thanks

Short answer...depends on the port count. Long answer... you will either have 24 or 48 port switches. Since the 3850's are stack capable and you can stack up to 9 of them you could have up to 432 ports (not counting the uplink ports). However, it is more common to see the 3850s used at the distribution level and something like the 2960 used at the access layer going to hosts.
