Rory is clearly a very intelligent guy but I’ve actually had to turn the podcast off with 45 minutes left to go. He won’t even let Chris finish a question that he’s posing and completely cuts him off each time. I’m sure it’s not intentional and purely down to enthusiasm but have some self awareness in a 2 way conversation. Shame it kinda ruined this podcast episode

I have never seen this show, but I'll say that chris seemed super interested and was a good interviewer, he let his guest speak. In regards to the USA and Canada, i am not sure everyone wants to live in suburbia and spend hours in cars, they just can't all afford to move to NY, SF or Boston, etc or even Vancouver, Toronto etc. Some do, others will never trade a big city with transportation for an isolated car status culture. In NY status is about what you do, not your job nor your car, but what you do as fulltime passion which may or may not be what pays the bills.

Well done Chris for calling out the bullshit at 1:45, etc ! 👍👍👍 This is said despite liking what Rory has to say. Boundaries matter! 💪👍👍❤️❤️❤️

Love the content. When you reference America it is most productive to use material in the current decade. Drink driving was a blurb in the 70’s along with Americans complaining about laws for seatbelts.

His explanation of why getting into relationships is supposed to be “messy” makes perfect sense. Bonding trough mutual connections is also an insensitive to work trough relationship problems too. It’s the same reason why the “messiness” of nepotism works simply because it adds more social cost for lack of commitment than just getting employed trough clean sterile means.

Entertaining listen as always, but am I the only one who feels like Chris was being constantly interrupted? The time talking already felt solidly 95/5 in Rory's favor, and Chris barely gets to introduce a concept or thought before he is interrupted and its back to the Rory show? I appreciate the enthusiasm, but in my humble opinion, this was close to being out of line at times.

It's Chris laughing like a mischievous schoolboy at Rory talking about boners for me. Rory was as delightful as ever. At this point I'm convinced he has an obscure story for every conceivable topic. His enthusiasm is absolutely contagious. 🩵 ...Would also love to hear him explain to his wife why its a good thing he compares her to a Japanese toilet. 😂

Even Chris has no chance against the ramblings of this man. 🤣The tangents are rife with gold though. Even I could host a fabulous podcast episode with Rory - just give the man a mic and sit back!
