Although, I do think it's a bit sad because most of them have never married and I do believe it's fueled by social media and the norm warping going on and the battle of the sexes... But I'm a widow and I have wanted to have a wedding themed birthday party for myself. I don't plan to ever marry again, I'd lose my healthcare and I can't afford to lose that. My husband and I had a small wedding, wasn't much, bought my wedding dress for $47 at Macy's clearance rack, made my own wedding cake... had our reception at a little VFW hall, never did get professional wedding photos (so wished we had). And I figured down the road we'd have a big celebration with an anniversary ceremony... He wanted a platinum wedding ring. When we'd banter with each other, he'd mention that when we get rich, I had to get him one! So when he was killed, I went to Tiffany's and bought him one, he was buried with it. Although, I wasn't rich, I wanted to make sure I could give him something for the richness he gave me in life. 💛

If I have understood the content of this video, I come away with the conclusion that, in only a few decades, natural births may be a thing of the past. Will poorer people just die out because assisted reproduction is too expensive? Could that be why AI robots are the big push? Farm and factory laborers will be needed.

Smaller families are another factor. I’d be curious to see the childhood mental health analysis by family size. Kids with siblings, multiple siblings, have to negotiate play, experience unfairness, and pitch in to help. Also, assuming you gave a built-in throng of playmates at home, perhaps the school environment social pressures are less influential. The trends of reduced fertility, could be a contributor to kids having less life experience with playmates. Either in the family, or up and down the neighborhood block.

Mr Ballen?! This one was so cool Chris! Ballen is the evidence of how we are wired for story telling, and how much we need it, albeit special effects productions, and other "sophisticated" contents. He´s an internet "bazinga". Thanks a lot to both of you.

The best story Mr. Ballen has ever told: I firmly believe this is why we don’t remember past lives. I had a dream once that I was a tiger and my baby cub drowned in front of me. When I woke up I was fcked up about it for WEEKS

Even at 6 months, children are learning empathy from how they are treated. Ignoring a baby is a great way to make it into a sociopath who can’t establish bonds with people later. Show them unconditional love when they are babies, it’s incredibly important.
