Well this song is actually sad, it's about the downfall of a beautiful village that gets destroyed because of modernisation.

As a Czech, I am considering moving into the Netherlands or Austria, as, no matter what anyone says, our country is overrun by disgusting concrete boxes, smashed up roads, villages that are slowly rotting away or being demolished, and a population which has been almost entirely Americanized. We have lost our honor, country, and now even it's traditions. The former Sudetenland is especially screwed up, as any old architecture that remained there was blown up by the communists and replaced with supermarkets that almost immediatly were abandoned. God bless the Netherlands for preserving it's country as much as it can!

I totally get what you're saying, but I don't think the Netherlands is the place to be if you're searching for a country with traditions and a soul. Sure, we still have some old buildings and our own mentality, but our landscape is being destroyed by windmills and distrubution centers, and some of our cities have turned 100% cosmopolitan. People don't follow traditions anymore and care the most about money and posessions. A third of our youth leaving our schools can't even properly read and write our language... No, I'm sad to say this, but our country is lost as well. Destroyed by modernism, or neoliberalism for that matter.
