    I can’t believe someone stole her ring 😭 I buy a lot of my jewelry from Blue Nile and always will, it’s not on Blue Nile, but one dang FedEx employee. I’m glad she has a ring now.

    I believe it, theft is a huge issue, especially with small things like jewelry. I hope it was insured. They didn’t mention it and I didn’t catch if she got her money 💴 back from Blue Nile?

    @@cristinecollier3437 I doubt she got a refund since it is not Blue Nile's responsibility if the ring was stolen by a shipper which is why everyone should always buy the insurance. One thing to note, the woman said her husband took the ring to the "post office". Why didn't he take it to a FedEx office since that is the label Blue Nile gave them. I don't know about Florida but where I live you cannot ship a FedEx package from the post office. Maybe that's why the post office told her they can't ship it and they need new packaging. So sad, but glad she got a new ring. I'm assuming unless you take a trip to CA, Bonnie also ships jewelry so this could happen to anyone from anywhere since we can't control if a shipper steals.

    I think it’s USPS that is was shipped through so it would have been stolen from someone at the post office

    This whole thing could've avoided if her husband didn't try to drop off a FedEx package at USPS, like this is beyond common sense. Does he go to McDonald's and ask for some Wendy's nuggets?

    I think a big take a way from her story is the importance of always using the senders supplied shipping label and getting the receipt! Also no mention was made of whether the package was insured? It’s super important whenever buying or returning expensive items such as jewelry through FedEx, UPS or USPS to get it insured as theft is a huge concern with things like jewelry. I’m glad it turned out the way it did and the ring 💍 is beautiful 🤩

    This happened to me! FedEx swapped the labels and accidentally sent the ring to the wrong address, where it was stolen and couldn’t be recovered. Always be careful ladies!!!

    Her husband took it to the post office, not to FedEx which is why they changed packing and labels. If she took it to FedEx a new label and box would not have been necessary. Did you take yours to the post office too and if not, what was FedEx's reason for swapping labels?

    @@usfanlovesminho5085 Nope, we took ours to FedEx directly. The attendant was just busy/distracted/not paying attention and swapped the labels of our package with another. They accepted fault from the beginning and settled but it took an entire year for the ordeal to be over, so always be careful and watch them put the correct label on the correct box/quality check everything!

    I choose a custom tulip style setting for my engagement ring too . Mine was done over 10 years ago but I still love looking at it all day long. I love that it’s different from what anyone in my family or friends circle have on their fingers. I have had thoughts over the years of changing my setting to plain simple prongs , or plain claw prongs , no side stones and possibly a solitaire. Bonnie everytime I see a video from you of your tulip settings , I truly fall in love with my ring all over again ! I am so sorry for what happened to her with her first ring . I have never heard of fed ex or the postal service not giving a receipt . I wouldn’t have left without one and a tracking number as well . Her poor husband was sadly too trusting by not demanding a receipt , but someone who doesn’t really know sadly can get taken advantage of like what was done here . However they say everything happens for a reason , their misfortune brought them to you Bonnie and I would 100% trust you to do the right thing and that ring is absolutely STUNNING ! Congrats to the newly engaged couple ! 🥰🥰

    I have never had an issue with Blue Nile or James Allen. An item being stolen by an employee of a shipper is not the retailers fault. It was to go to FedEx and they went to the post office instead and I wonder if it was insured. No retailer is going to refund you thousands of dollars if you are shipping to them. Are you saying that if this customer had shipped her ring to Bonnie and it was stolen in transit that Bonnie would have refunded thousands of dollars if the customer did not insured it? If so, that would be a first for any retailer. :)

    This happened to me when I sent back a necklace for repair to Aurate and man the item arrive at the company department but, Aurate told me they had move and I’m like but my jewelry arrive to your department and the bad thing I had lost my receipt and it was a gold necklace it was my lost because it was a present from the hubby :(
