It is crazy what happened to us when I first got married. It was recommended by the diamond industry that the husband should spend 1 monthly salary to his fiancé’s ring. 3 months salary now. It is ridiculous what a stranglehold the Diamond industry’s has on the jeweler..

Crazy indeed, my husband's a month of salary is worth a year rent from where we live and there is no way I would allow him to spend that much. Glad engagement ring is not a thing in our country. The bride and groom gets the same ring design and as folks were told wedding band should not be taken off so couples would last till their last breath 😁

Love your story and your lovely positive personality. My grandfather bought my grandmother a cute dainty art deco ring with small diamonds as her engagement ring...and when the band wore thin on the inside, he would buy her another one. They have since passed and I have two of them that I cherish. I love that story and think it is so sweet. When you don't spend a ton of money on a ring, he can buy you more rings! ;) haha. But I personally love the idea of moissanite because like you said, less worry, and you can spend the rest of that money on memorable experiences and life together.

Do not wear your ring while doing the dishes, or sleeping. The prongs are actually delicate and can get snagged and you can lose your center stone. Also 1.5mm is soo thin. I know it’s popular to have a dainty band, but if you do not take care of it, it will warp and get damaged over time. Nothing wrong with it, it’s beautiful, just make sure you take care of it!

Hi Kyle, excited for you and your lady!! My ring is super easy to clean! I just use a soft toothbrush, dish soap, and warm water. :) I haven't had to do any repairs yet, but even though my band is super thin I can say the quality is very high and durable for both the stone and the 14k gold. After cleaning, it looks the same as when I first got it!

Your ring is very beautiful and classic. I agree with with you regarding the 14 k yellow gold. I have 18 k and it’s change shape to kind of map my finger. Not a perfect circle. 😢
