I really love how you always put the homeowner's stories in these videos. It's so easy for people to judge those who have have dirty homes but it takes empthy and understanding to realize there's a reason a home gets like that.

Hi Auri, I'm from Pakistan. I recently lost my father. It was unexpected and it broke my heart. The only control I have been able to feel in the past month is through cleaning. Whenever everything gets too much, I pick a corner of the house and I clean it till I get tired. Whenever I clean, i think about you. I think about how you'd tackle each surface, I fold my microfiber cloth like you do, I know what cleaner to use and I have made dish soap my best friend. Through all of this not a lot of people have been able to make me feel calm or better but having a mini auri play in my head whenever I clean or Whenever I see some dirt or grime or hard water stains I think of you and for a tiny little while, life feels okay. I dont know if you'll read this. I dont know if anyone will read this but I just wanted to send this message out into the big giant internet void. Thank you, auri. I love you. Also, how do you manage the backache... i cleaned for 4 hours and my back is killlllingggg me. Please help Love, H

So true. It’s easy to say “if you clean your house you’ll feel better” but when you are in it you understand you can’t clean it UNTIL a you feel better so you are actually stuck in a closed loop. It’s nice that people like Aurikatarina understand and can help people create a break in the loop. It will still take a lot of work on their part to get better but this type of help is a HUGE component in getting out.

I think one thing that is very important is that parents never make their kids/teens feel embarrassed about the things they enjoy. My mother would always judge my interests (the TV shows and music I liked, the celebrities I was interested in...) so I just stopped telling her. And to this day (I'm 30) I don't tell her about my interests. I never told my mother what I did on the internet, because I thought she'd judge me for my interests, when in actuality she wanted to make sure I was safe. So yeah, educate kids about internet safety, but also be curious about what they like and don't make them feel bad about it. Accompany them on the internet, rather than prescribing what they should want to do on it.

This home cleaning video brought me to tears. As a girl who was 14 that went through the a similar thing as Cindy, I feel much sadness that children have to go through experiences like this. So glad to hear that guy was brought to justice, and also tragic to here she wasn't the first. I wasn't able to bring the family member who was 40 at the time he took my innocence to justice... As when I spoke about it to my mother, she discarded me and was afraid she'd be liable for aiding the preparator in abusing a minor too. Since that last communication, I can no longer pursue a criminal case, but I can pick up my life and start over. Slowly, and with a great therapist, I am able to pick myself back up and gain confidence in life again. My home has been in boxes and cluttered for over a year now, and my kitchen has been piled on with food I've bought, but had no energy to put away or cook. And as I was watching your videos I begun cleaning! Now... I have a clear counter! It's easy to wipe down everyday and it's so nice to see how shiny it is. Hopefully, I'll be able to get to other parts of my apartment soon. Thank you so much for all your videos, Aurikatariina 🙏✨🙌.

It's hard enough to deal with this tragedy, but then when you get in a viscous cycle of depression and can't keep your home clean, it's terrible. And you don't want anyone to know because that will jsut make things worse. I really hope Cindy is doing better and working through her pain and soon can go back home with her dad.

Could be wrong, but as she is translating into English, I wouldn't bet on it. I mean, the dad had to take out loans and didn't have money, wouldn't selling house and moving have been an option then?

As a thank you for all you do, I let the ads play on your videos, and not skip them. Auri, you are a superhero! 😇

you treat these people and their homes with the utmost respect. something simple like blurring out the dog poo. there could be a clickbait shock value. but you’d never exploit that. ahh mazing. you are a treasure

I struggle with inertia and paralysis sometimes with the simplest of tasks, Auri, and your videos are so helpful and inspiring-- they give me hope and the jump start I need to just begin.. from there it gets easier. Thanks for posting these wonderful videos and making cleaning fun! I don't have the pull out cutting boards here in the USA-- wish I did though-- I have limited counter space! They look so handy!

I like the pull out boards as well. U.S. builders don't think of that. But if you have a large enough board you could open a drawer and set it on there.
