The room you working on looked a lot better Patrick.And youre supervisors are lovely to see. It was nice of Martin to help you in the garden but he worked also inside the chateau. The small mirrors with blue glass are beautiful. I have just noticed the large mirror leaning on the wall behind Patrick. That mirror is STUNNING! You choose such aesthetic objects for your home.

We love the little Muramo mirrors. They are actually not really small…😂. But in the large room 😮. And the rococo mirror behind me is normally in the entrance hall. There is work going on there as well…… 😮😮😮. Thank you so much for your wonderful comment ❤❤

Jane is so blessed to have friends like you. No doubt you made her feel loved and valued. As we women pass 40, that becomes very significant in our lives. Well done. Good morning Patrick & Stuart, this was a real fun video!! I loved the Supervisors coming in for inspection but also wanted a proper hello I am here, they are just gorgeous, all hairy and happy. Martin was ever so happy helping and clearing. So nice to have somebody like him. I am sure Jane loved her birthday celebration. The table and food looked so nice, as always. Hi Patrick and Stuart, I don't envy you the repairing the plaster in the small bedroom. I did the same work in my 1886 Victorian and I became quite good at it. It is both art and science to repair old plaster and the age of the plaster in the Chateau has its own challenges. It's all in the preparation work, if you get that done right as you have been doing, the end result looks great. I like the day bed in the room and there is so much you can do to really "dress it up" with fabric and wallpaper. In the formal parlor, its all in the details and you certainly have that. Paint, wallpaper and upholstery will all come in good time. Mark & Scott

This was a nice sampler of chateau life, the gritty work on walls and in moats, the inspired re-arranging of carpets and furniture for a fresh look in a reception room and then the thoughtful set-up and decoration for Jane’s birthday party. I can imagine the delicious aromas in your new kitchen while the party food was being prepared too. Mmm!🎉

The plastering is coming along. It's a long job and requires a lot of patience, which you fortunately seem to have. No shortcut if you want to do it right, however, plaster, sand, repeat, until you've got a smooth wall. Jane's party looks like it was so much fun!

I think it's wonderful for People to get the Feel of what sometimes Chateau life is😊 My hats off to him

I remember that lovely single room from your first explore of the Chateau, I thought it cute then and I know I will love it finished. Love love love the giant rug, its beautiful. And the birthday looked lovely gentlemen. Martin is a wiz! 😘😘

I love the little bedroom. All the different angles are very quaint. But probably not easy to wallpaper. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Mirrors are beautiful.

I’m back from Malta and binge watched this evening all the vlogs I’ve missed! That chandelier is SO pretty and OMG the downstairs loo is brilliant! You’ve achieved such a lot in two and a bit weeks. Malta was enjoyable, the weather was gorgeous and some of the old buildings with the little enclosed balconies like nothing I’ve seen before but France still wins hands down in my opinion. I became a tourist attraction for people watching the driver of the horse drawn carriage and my husband pushing parts of my anatomy that haven’t been touched in years in an attempt to get me into the carriage which involved a step that was at least a metre off the ground!! Getting down was even less graceful! 😂

You will have to give the dogs paint brushes, so when they come to inspect your work they can all paint while they at it 😅😅 It was a lovely dinner birthday party for Jane.

That is a giant rug, did it come with the house? The twin mirror frames are beautiful. What a nice buy. 🎂Happy belated birthday, Jane!🎂

Oh gosh Patrick I did feel for you working on the crumbling plaster. Amazing job. You guys are the best hosts you really go the whole hog with your friends and those close to you. The food looked so delicious I also like to host dinners for family and friends. I love to try out all sorts of recipes so I cook a lot and I love baking too

How cute the puppies came in for some love. I loved the table cloth cover for Jane’s party. It would make for pretty curtains. When you get to the grand salon that room is going to be beautiful. And yes mirrors were very very pretty.

Those mirrors are beautiful in the salon and are the perfect size on either size of the fireplace. You both have such a great eye for all your antique pieces. Great video and the birthday celebration was the best. I love seeing a group of friends at your chateau enjoying your fabulous food and you are both so talented I can just about stand it!
