Yes, I too refer to them as "wren-A-sance" men in the French pronunciation. Go guys! The 4 patterns of toile is just enough to excite the eye. Could even have a little one on the settee in a 5th darker shade, and maybe a 6th on a bench at foot of bed? Love your toile, Stuart!!!

Mon Dieu tout est si soigné... Cette décoration dans le style 17 et 18ᵉ et une réussite... vraiment. le choix du papier, j'ai déjà tout dit sur le sujet et je n'y reviens pas sauf à continuer à le trouver fantastique. Le judicieux mélange des styles dans l'ameublement est également une merveille d'équilibre. J'aime l'élégance du canapé Louis XVI, et le petit secrétaire, je crois de style empire (à confirmer), est particulièrement soigné et très beau. il trouve ici parfaitement sa place sans heurter dans cette magnifique chambre. Encore une fois un grand bravo! Pardon pour nos amis anglophones de m'être exprimé ici dans ma langue, mais j'avais envie de montrer ma totale reconnaissance en tant que Français et dans ma langue pour l'amour que donnent deux Américains à sauver avec respect notre patrimoine. Je mesure la difficulté qu'ils doivent rencontrer avec la barrière culturelle et bien entendu avec celle de la langue. C'est d'autant plus admirable et tout à leur honneur d'avoir choisi notre pays et ce merveilleux château : je leur suis infiniment reconnaissant. Mais, et même si je vous l'ai déjà témoigné, je m'en voudrais de ne pas ajouter combien je vous adore aussi et surtout pour votre gentillesse non feinte et la sympathie qui se dégage de vos personnalités : deux qualités rares de nos jours. 😊🥰

The poising of the furniture turned out so nice, bringing out the grains of the wood. So much to be appreciated in there. Yea, to sit back and enjoy all the renovations, the projects up to date, man it would be a wonderful feeling of completion. Oh yes, there will be more little odd jobs to do, but that would be a piece of cake! Until we started getting what’s app texts from the offspring and grandsons, the other half and I completely forgot that it’s our 53rd wedding anniversary today!! We went out for a lovely meal and came back to the super present of today’s vlog!! It all is lovely. One thing I would suggest: once a month, sprinkle the rug with baking soda, sponge with a white cloth saturated in hydrogen peroxide 3%. Then vacuum when dry. It will keep the rug clean, odour free, and will avoid any chemicals.

When you were carrying the rolled- up rug up the stairs, it then hit me how much nicer that stairway looks. Those rose prints look really nice with the wallpaper, too. Love the Stuart-designed toile shower curtain. Such a nice variation on a theme. Can't wait for the walk-through!

The room is a complete triumph! I let out the softest gasp when the gilded chest was revealed. And the rug looks good enough to eat. I haven't commented in a while so I have some saved up comments. The small bedroom that you did was really sweet. The debrownification and unyellowing of the chateau continues! And of course you had to make the gite room look chateau-ish because if I am not mistaken, the gite has the tumbled limestone that I sighed over. Congratulations--well done!
