The more restricted you are of something at birth, the opposite increases accordingly. A weak body = more cursed energy. An even weaker body = even more cursed energy. The complete opposite of this is also true. Pretty low amount of cursed energy = strong body. NO cursed energy = Way stronger body. The reason this is so special is because it is normally impossible for any human to have zero cursed energy. Even non-sorcerers have cursed energy. They just can't control it. (Which is why cursed spirits exist.)

The JJK equivalent to the things you mentioned is not heavenly restriction, it is a binding vow. Heavenly restrictions are forced upon someone at birth. Binding vows are restrictions imposed on their self by jujutsu sorcerors for greater return in power. An example for this is Nanami's "overtime". When he is working as sorceror for regular working hours, he operates at 80-90% of his total power. If his working hours go overtime, his powers rise to 120%. By nerfing himself for certain fixed amount of time, he gets greater than his max power when he fights during his overtime hours. Another binding vow example would be sorcerors explaining the intricacies of their own technique to their enemies. By giving away Intel, you make it possible for enemies to come up with strategies to avoid or deal with your technique. This raises the technique's power.

The thing is that not only did it not hurt Megumi, but Sukuna outright had no intention of killing or severely damaging his next vessel, so it probably wouldn’t get him in trouble.

See the binding vow yuji made with sukana was vague cause as stated that sukana could hurt or kill anyone when he took over and let’s not forget sukana knows the secret of staying alive as a cursed object so i assume he put a good amount of his curse energy when he ripped yuji finger and feed it to megumi

Simple answer: it didn't kill megumi. Sukunas binding vow said that he wouldn't kill or hurt anyone in that 1 minute, not refrain from ATTEMPTING to kill or hurt someone

The binding vow that sukuna made with itadori wasn't a binding vow because the one rule that he gave ontop of it was that itadori would forget about the binding vow he made with him which is also the reason why he was allowed to mass murder everyone in shibuya because the binding vow was basically biased to benefit sukuna since itadori can't remeber the binding vow he made

I had an idea for a heavenly restriction where the individuals ability to produce cursed energy and positive energy is reversed, meaning their ability to generate positive energy is second nature but it’s a struggle to hold their cursed energy. I say hold because positive energy can only come from two negatives in the form of cursed energy coming together, so what’s really happening is that the instant cursed energy is generated it is immediately and involuntarily being converted to positive energy and takes about as much effort to stop that conversion as it would for a your average sorcerer to create it.

Muta didn't have more Cursed Energy because of his restriction, it's a common mistake people make because of the amount he had saved up for Ult Mechamaru. He saved up the Cursed Energy over the years, that's why he had so much, the effect of his Heavenly Restriction was insane range on his CT.

No he still had a lot bc he saved up the excess ce. He still used his ce constantly to manipulate puppets. The fact that no one else in the verse does/is able to save up is crazy though.

I wonder if having an inherited cursed technique qualifies as a heavenly restriction. I understand why you wouldn't want to worry about developing another technique if you've inherited one, but what if it is impossible for someone like Gojo or Megumi to learn/ use other techniques. Does that explain Yuta? He was born with hella cursed energy, but 0 technique thus can copy others?

Okay so here's my question. Who the hell is creating heavenly restrictions in the first place. Obviosly the babies aren't doing it, and the people of the Zen'in clan despised Toji and Maki for having restrictions, so I'm gonna assume nobody within their family put the restrictions upon them, so where are these things coming from?

it does bypass techniques like limitless not negate, there are some translation error on the manga, they can still you curse techniques, but everything can be bypass by the sure hit of the domain

Domain expansion is an advanced jujutsu technique where a user manifests their innate domain into the real world by using a barrier and imbue their cursed technique on to it (Sukuna and Kenjaku can use domain expansion without a barrier but that is counted as exceptions). Now these domains generally give terrain advantage to the sorceror who used them(Megumi can create shadow clones while in his domain, Higuruma's domain negates all violence within its boundaries). Based on the effect of the domains, there are two kinds: those with sure hit effects where you get constantly hit with attacks as long as you remain inside(anyone in Mahito's domain gets affected by his idle transfiguration technique, dagon's domain attacks everyone inside with infinite number of fish that only appear right at the moment the fish bites you). The other kind of barrier is one that has a lot more rules associated with it and is more complex in its effects(Hakari's domain lets him literally gamble to have temporary immortality, Higuruma's domain uses his opponent's past criminal activities to run a court case where the penalty if found guilty is confiscation of cursed tool, confiscation of cursed technique, confiscation of cursed energy). The complex domain generally doesn't directly attack you. Getting trapped in the range of an opposing sorceror's domain is extremely disadvantageous. It becomes especially dangerous if you're inside a sure hit domain as the opponent's cursed technique will constantly attack you as long as you stay inside the space of their domain. In such a situation, the known methods for countering: 1. Directly attack whatever the sure hit effect of the domain is. This is what Nanami, Naobito and Maki initially tried to do when inside Dagon's domain. By attacking the sure hit effect itself, they counter it's effects. Falling blossom emotions used by Naobito is based on this principle. 2. Isolating yourself from the sure hit effects by creating an extra layer of space between yourself and the domain. This can be achieved by using a simple domain, using hollow wicker basket, using domain amplification etc. In this case, the sure hit effect is evaded by letting the cursed technique of the domain flow into the space between you and the boundaries of whatever isolation focused technique you used. These techniques are also shown to be capable of resisting cursed technique attacks outside domains as well(Kusakabe used simple domain to resist Sukuna's techniques, Higuruma used domain amplification to resist Sukuna's techniques) 3. Using your own domain expansion to fight for supremacy between the domains. In this case it is a battle for control over the space within the domain's barriers(Megumi in Dagon's domain) Now. Sukuna vs Gojo domain battle is a very different domain battle. If it were two regular domains against each other, the two sorcerors would end up in a tiring drawn out tug of war where both try to gain control over the space occupied by the other's domain. However, Gojo's domain is a barrier domain. His domain expansion manifests within a barrier. Sukuna's domain is barrierless. He manifests his domain in the real world. So if sukuna and Gojo started a domain clash, both wouldn't be fighting to gain control over the space as their domains occupy different spaces. When Megumi used domain expansion against dagon, both couldn't use sure hit effect of their domain because of the tug of war. In Gojo vs Sukuna, both of them can use their sure hit on each other because of the absence of this tug of war. So how did they counter each other's sure hit effect? Well they used their own domain's sure hit effect to counterattack their opponent's sure hit effect. So like if sukuna's domain attacks gojo, Gojo's domain will attack sukuna's domain's attack to nullify that attack. Same principle as falling blossom emotions. Now Gojo's domain's barriers broke in the first domain expansion clash because sukuna's domain's sure hit effects were attacking Gojo's domain's barrier from the outside. As domain barriers tend to be weak on the outside.

Ok this is just me being curious but does rct affect all cursed techniques or just some, like we have seen that rct on limitless makes red and in the manga kenjaku uses rct on a antigravity technique to make it act as gravity amplification but what about other techniques, boogie woogie, cursed speech, 10 shadows, hell is Sukunas dismantle a rct version of cleave? I'm really curious

could u explain gojo vs sukuna's fight , lots of crazy things happened. i understood what gojo did to some extent but the way sukuna manipulated his and megumi's CT was too much. Spoiler Alert : like how do u make mahoranga adapt to a CT without summoning him and why megumi's soul was taking that damage not sukuna's? And how the hell is sukuna able use domain amplification and his CT simultaneously ? How can he use piercing blood ?

1)The Dharma wheel Sukuna had in his head allows him to take the damage instead of Mahoraga but Mahoraga is still adapting 2)Sukuna transfered the damage of Unlimited Void to Megumi's soul,how? No effing idea,but he did 3)I dont think he did that,because its literally impossible even for the strongest so if he did its either a plot hole or the plot favoring Sukuna(which happened quite a alot) 4)It wasnt piercing blood,it was Max Elephant's water that he used while didnt having him summoned,which Gojo said is impressive even for the strongest,he just learned how to use it watching Choso do and did with Max Elephant's water(Once again fighting with other people's powers,thats the strongest sorcerer in history)

It just took him 1 glance to mimick how gojo restore his exhausted cursed technique using reverse Cursed energy. About the domain amplification thing , i'm pretty sure he did it after expanding his domain 3rd time . Even that lawyer was able to use domain amp (to dodge sukuna's cleave) while keeping his CT active so that the executioner's sword wouldn't disappear.

Heavenly Restriction also enhance your 5 sense to point you can see Curse without needed a curse tool Like Maki for example she used to needed to use her glasses (a curse tool) to able to see curse energy and curses But after she was achieved the same state as Toji she can see them without Curse tool Why do you think Toji can carry the inventory worm in his shoulder despite unable to “see” it?

togi removed his own curse energy by choice but still has a curse pet even though he technically cant see it but can still interact with is and control it with no curse energy. makes no sense but i guesse thats how the story goes

No. Toji didn't chose to have that restriction apply to him. It was something he was born with. If someone in JJK chooses to apply a restriction to themself in exchange for power, then that is called a binding vow. You don't get a choice in the case of heavenly restriction. Also he isn't "controlling" the cursed spirit. He's managed to tame it. Like how someone doesn't need to have any biokinesis ability to tame and train an animal, he doesn't need cursed energy to tame a cursed spirit

Is it just me or does this seem extremely unbalanced for Toji’s case. I guess I don’t see what the point of having cursed energy would be if you can literally be a superhuman if you are somehow blessed without it. To me this is more of a gift than a curse. For binding vows, there has to be an equivalent exchange in sacrifice and reward. Here the sacrifice of no cursed energy doesn’t justify the reward of being strong enough to go toe to toe with Gojo.

Can you talk about gojo limitless eyes and how it works

The Six Eyes, an extremely rare phenomenon in which a Gojo descendant obtains special blue eyes. These eyes are valuable, as they grant cursed energy optimization beyond compare, but also the ability to identify cursed techniques at a fundamental level, as well as obviously better eyesight.

In Maki's case she needs glasses to see curses, why doesn't Toji?

Maki still has a sliver of cursed energy while Toji literally has 0. Having no CE at all greatly and I mean GREATLY boosts your 5 senses so Toji can see curses even without CE. Maki, as Megumi puts it, is an incomplete version of Toji so she doesn't have the boost Toji has and thus needs glasses to see Curses

Maki had civilian lv of Curse Energy so she can’t see curses so she need the glasses (a curse tool) to see it Unlike Maki Toji is straight up don’t having any CE The less CE you had the more powerful the Heavenly Restriction is The Heavenly restriction boost your physical stats included senses to point you can see curse without a curse tool

Yuji is a strict outlier. He has heavenly restriction type strength and speed, but can still use cursed energy. We don’t even know whether he’s fully human or not.

Puppet Manipulation on the scale Kokichi does it in is actually somewhat unfair as he could just come at any opponent with balls to the wall firepower and he would barely be at risk unless the opponent knew where he lived and was planning on heading there. It’s also insane for espionage purposes as Utahime points out.

His firepower is not a joke also cause he can go toe to toe with a special grade, but i agree it is still ass lol. I'll pick new shadow style over his HR

@@kenonerboy Not only was that direct combat where his physical body was at risk, but it was a situation where his Heavenly Restriction was cured, thus potentially getting rid of what he gained from it, meaning his reserves and range were given a cap he likely wasn’t used to.

@caseyjones8153 his heavenly restriction wasn't cured. Mahito changes the shape of souls and the body follows suit. He didn't lose any of the cursed energy that he stockpiled so no it didnt "cure" his restriction, its a bypass. Mechamaru was at his strongest and lost. It is what it is.

Because not everyone has heavenly restriction. The same reason todo can't summon 10 shadows like megumi or why nobara cant use projection sorcery. It is unique to you given by birth.
