Yes, you can see the " glow " on his eyes change back to " normal " once Suguru tells him he did a good job and he relaxes, since they're already inside the protected terrain. It's exactly as you said, he released the infinity , hence Toji being able to stab him, not the the six eyes! It's * super * clear that it was the technique because , on the aftermath of that fight, there's the whole" i don't need to turn infinity off anymore " moment that feeds into the whole Suguru debacle.

Not only was Gojo exhausted, and Toji having 0 cursed energy while using a regular (non-cursed) katana -so Gojo wouldnt sense any cursed energy-, but Toji also had superhuman speed/strength/senses that would likely allow him to avoid a waning infrared camera. It's similar to how I wear shades even at night to compensate for my autism and my synesthesia. My autism causes all of my senses to be at their peak at all times. It's like having your eyes dilated, where you can't regulate the amount of stimuli you're subjected to. Except it's all of my senses. And I have kinesthetic synesthesia, so I experience damn-near everything as touch and motion. And I mean everything: every sense, every thought, every emotion, and even concepts such as language, mathematics, social relations, and even connections between variables. And that's just how my synesthesia is experienced on one level. It's enough to drive someone crazy. Hence the need for shades even at night. I even process tactile information as visual stimuli. If I hold my palm up to a heat source, I see the heat coming off it like a bubble. Think how a snake sees heat by sticking out its tongue to taste the air. That's how I see heat. It's dead useful for moving through crowds at night. It's why I was never scared of the dark as a child. I could just sense most things around me. But that's the same problem as Gojo. There is no shutting it off. Some sounds can be intoxicating and leave me feeling euphoric due to the sensations of pleasure on my skin, so I can't listen to some genres of music if I'm driving. And overloading my hearing can feel like being cut, shocked, bludgeoned, or burned either individually or all all of the above at the same time. Made being in school a nightmare since I basically had a built-in shock collar. The human brain can only handle so much information at once. And what I have isn't even superhuman. You don't want enhanced senses. If what I experience sounds like a lot, you don't want what Gojo has.

im really late to this, but this was actually really helpful, and explained a lot to me! thank you for making this video!

This explanation reminded me of Superman (in Man Of Steel) in how he had too much info constantly streaming into his eyes, as well as his other senses, and his only means to deal with it was to close his eyes and calm himself, until eventually being able to grow accustomed to turning his multiple visions off. Zod did this to some degree later in the movie by sheer focus. It's interesting that Gojo can't do either method, so his only means of normal vision is just a slight handicap that does nothing to hinder his abilities.

Gojo can’t turn the six eyes off, I’m not going to contradict that (it’s Gege’s take on Kakashi), but the history had me curious why Gojo didn’t have problems as a young boy when Toji first encountered him. I don’t rely on guides, so what follows are just my observations. Gojo wasn’t able to use RCT at that point and he also wasn’t using anything to cover his eyes. After that, we get pitch-black glasses, then a white blindfold, then a black blindfold with sometimes black glasses for errands. I figured it was either a plothole for the sake of style change as growth or Gojo’s six eyes gradually become more perceptive as he matures, which makes increasing deprivation of sight necessary to counterbalance it. Either way, I also find it interesting that Gojo’s sight doesn’t translate to intuitive understanding because he has seen Shoko’s RCT but he could never do RCT until his near-death experience (personally, I think Gojo had a DMT high). This makes the six eyes, to use another Naruto reference, more like a constant byakugan than a sharingan.

The younger you are the greater your neuro-elasticity is therefore when producing more synapses your brain can effectively process more information but as you get older synapse productions significantly slows down. This is why you see old people having a hard time learning even the simplest of things. This would apply to gojo’s six eyes where he could handle the information better at a younger age but I could imagine by the time he reached his teens he’d get headaches or get tired easily so he decided to get glasses

The point is Gojo not covering his eyes for sometime wouldn’t cause any significant damage or stress to him But leaving them open for a longer period of time would affect him. In his fight v sukuna Gojo’s rct was lower people started saying it’s going to affect his eyes but that wasn’t the case.

No, he didn't see Toji not only because he was so fatigued, but also because Toji has no curse energy and Gojo also didn't know about Toji until he made himself known.

So, does his Domain expansion just give others a taste of what he puts up with on a daily basis? Cause I thought the point of Infinite Void was to just cram an infinite amount of information into a target's head, so their brain overloads and shuts down. And that's effectively Gojo's default state of existence.

From what I understood, with the blindfold/sunglasses on, he can see, but it's more similar to thermal goggles or Observation Haki from One Piece. Since he can see cursed energy and has general natural perception of the world up the whazoo, covering his eyes just lessens his vision down towards more of a normal human's.

Its mainly the Zenins, theyre extremely stuck up on tradition and value sorcery above all else. Such a clan will obviously look down upon a member whos incapable of sorcery. They didnt understand Toji's potential until Toji had already left, though his prowess eventually left a deep impression on Naobito and his son Naoya (Naobito was the head of the Zenin clan after Toji's dad, the former head, died). Maki however is looked down upon because shes nowhere near Tojis level, so she has nothing to show for her inability to use sorcery, and the fact that shes a woman. Maki's dad also greatly resents her because he feels like his disappointing heirs were the only reason Naobito his younger brother was made the head instead of him, as they were widely considered equals in terms of sorcery and combat.

Gojo doesnt get tired, he has RCT activated permanently. He's just wearing the blinds as a flex or to hide his beautiful eyes from stealing the hearts of young women.

So in a sense, its like you are receiving so much info to your brain (esoterism, philosophy, spiritual, dimensions) that at one point it amazing but then, it can become too much for the human brain. Knowing too much can give you a heavy burden..

Blue eyes are more sensitive and prone to vision problems because the lack of pigments in them. It could be because of that like the red/pink eyes in albinos. And I’m guessing poor vision also impairs his abilities too.

You know now that I actually think about it a completed pair of sharingan (heavenly wheel eye/eye of heaven) has exactly six tomoe seals. (Those are the little comma things in them) I intuitively always assumed they where similar but the six eyes may be directly inspired by them in a way. Edit: although in this case the six eyes are arguably better written in terms of how the story acknowledges just how absolutely broken they are and gives them to only one character ever. Which naruto kiiiinda sooorta did in the beginning…. But eventually they where getting passed around like candy in a crack house.
